Life is better...

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create!

The theme is Anything Goes w/optional twist: "Summer Fun".

(create something "Fun Filled")

It's finally vacation time for many of us!

What could be more fun than lounging on the beach, diving into the refreshing water,

or simply floating on the waves in a floatie, sipping a cool drink.

At least, that's what these three mean by vacation...

I stamped the animals, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out.

For the background, I used a light blue paper (water colored) and two pieces of design paper. I dry embossed the blue-green (actually blue-green striped) with a wave pattern and highlighted the waves with a white Posca pen.

I simply tore off the orange paper. This created a white border that forms the shoreline.

I stamped the starfish on design paper and cut them out. Drew the sun on yellow cardstock and cut it out as well. Finally, I glued all things in place, then stamped the sentiment and a cloud.

Super Cool

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory

Our movie for this month is:

Spotlight

This month we want to

Highlight or put something in focus

Wow, it's so hot in here that we could devour several ice creams at once...

First, I stamped the ice cream cones several times on the card. Then I stamped the ice creams in different colors (flavors). Next, I watercolored and splattered the background with Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide).

I then stamped the sentiment, cut it out, and adhered it. Used foam tape for the words "Super" and "Cool," to make them stand out from the card.

Finally, I jazzed up the colors of the ice cream with alcohol ink markers and Posca pens.

Katzelkraft - And the Adventure begins

Hi everyone!

Have you already noticed that Katzelkraft has released new stamps? -

Take a look ;)) - you'll see, the new collection is just fantastic!

But that's not all!

Another great piece of news is that Katzelkraft has acquired the Stampotique brand and that these stamps will soon be available in the Katzelkraft store.

...so the adventure begins!

They will start with a brand new collection and then gradually produce the older stamps as well.

I'll let you know as soon as I have more news.

For my first project, I used the new Combi VW and combined it with the somewhat older Pabo, dog and accessories.

I used the paper piecing technique for Pabo's outfit and accessories. - This saves coloring :))

I colored the Combi and the dog with watercolors and alcohol ink markers.

For the background and ground, I simply dabbed on some color.

The sentiment I stamped in three steps so that it fitted in well.

As you can see, these new stamps can also be combined really well with the older Katzelkraft stamps. - The possibilities are endless! ;)

Just Go

Hi everyone!

For today, I was inspired by our recent trip to Australia. We've been home for a week now and I'm slowly getting back into a normal routine - a ten-hour jet lag is not easy to cope with!

We traveled by van for six weeks - a whole new travel concept that I really liked!

I tried to put that on this tag, inspired by the colors on Isa's June challenge moodboard.

The tag is a gel print made with acrylic colors. Initially it was yellow, with red circles. I sponged the bottom area with green, and the left area with orange to get the color scheme.

Then I stamped the van and the trailer, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them both out. I also cut out the arrows underneath and the "Just Go".

Next, I stamped a world map at the bottom and adhered the cut out pieces.

I then stamped the text, the stitched heart and the friendly sun. Hope you like it.

Relaxing Day

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club.

This month we're celebrating

Happy Birthday for You Day

I started by stamping the lazy critter. Masked it and then sponged the lower part with Peacock Feathers (Distress Oxide). Masked the horizon without removing the little guy.

Now my homemade stencil came into play. I used it to make the sun (Fossilized Amber (Distress Oxide)) - like on this card.

To color the sky I used the cutout of my stencil as a mask and Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide).

I took off the mask and colored the relaxing guy with alcohol ink markers. Added some white gel pen strokes and blue fish to the water. Taped two strips of washi tape to the bottom edge. Stamped the sentiment.

Sun, Sand and ....

Hi everyone!

It's the second half on the Dream Factory and I want to remind you of our current challenge.

The movie for this month is

Spring Breakdown

it's all about Party, beach, drinks, summer fun and zesty colors!

The party can go on, we are still in the mood for at least two weeks!!!

I was inspired by the background of our movie poster and un image I saw on Pinterest. The palm tree, the flowers and leafs (Stampin'Up) I stamped on a watercolored background. A part of the quote and the cocktail are hand-drawn, cut out and glued on - I know, I'm crazy 😆 but I hope you like it and I could get you to join in!
