You Deserve a You Day - Double Trouble Challenge #84

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble "It's a You Day", using Twisted Sister's optional twist to "include bling" and sharing with our partner Stinkin' Inkers Challenge # "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".

Again, went through my container of unfinished Copic Class card kits and found a perfect girly-girl image... and much to my surprise all the coloring had been completed in class. Modified the image panel cut slightly and changed the design paper to strawberries instead of flowers.  Added the Nuvo drops and sentiment.

At Double Trouble Our Things 1, 2 and 3 sure bring on some wierd combinations but I like to challenge them all; however, you have the flexibility of doing just Thing 1 to create a theme "It's a You Day" girly girl project and be eligible for our random draw.

For those that really like more of a challenge may want to include Twisted Sister's optional twist and/or enter at Stinkin' Inkers "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", our partner for this challenge, if you have met their requirement... and you will be rewarded additional chances for the random draw. Please join us for this fun challenge

Have a Magical Birthday - Double Trouble Challenge #80 "Something, Anything, Everything"

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #78 "Something, Anything, Everything" using Twisted Sister's optional twist to celebrate National Crayon Day and include an image on your project that you have colored.  Again, went through my container of unfinished Copic Class card kits and found another Whimsy's wizzard images... much to my surprise it didn't even need a touchup.

The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #414 had a window box which was perfect to set my frog on.  Pulled out my Wood Grain paper pack and selected one of the design papers to die cut the window/window box and also used as the background.  Fussy-cut my frog image and glued to the window box with froggy's foot on the edge and the other items in the box.  Made my window into a shaker with the sequins and then adhered to the background paper.  Using 3D foam tape put the window box and image at bottom of window.  The sentiment was layered with the wood grain and adhered to background with 3D thin for tape.

Some of us from Our Little Crop Group attended many Copic Coloring Classes before the Pandemic at a local scrapbook store. The coloring packets were included in a plastic bag with all the cuts and trimmings and instructions to assemble a card.

There were three coffee card packets in my stash beckening to be used... So below my card are the packets I chose for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop. Pulled out all the pieces from each of these packets and created three new coffee cards with brighter spring colors using bits and pieces from each packet.

You Must Be Kitten - 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

Some of us from Our Little Crop Group attended many Copic Coloring Classes before the Pandemic at a local scrapbook store. The coloring packets were included in a plastic bag with all the cuts and trimmings and instructions to assemble a card.

These packets are stored in a plastic container beckening to be used... so below my card is the packet I chose for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.  There are times I used them just as is; however, I prefer to create my own card using some of the cuts and/or changing the sketch and/or colors.

Jennifer Dove's Copic Card Class packet changes:  Only used the plaid paper and image from the card packet.  Metal die used to cut the cup from the plaid paper and fussy-cut the bath cat image in two.  Pieced them together using tape and the bubbles and rubber ducky with 3D foam tape. My intial coloring was so much lighter so touched it up a bit for more dimension.

My background was totally different from the pieces in the packet... selected from my stash a background paper to use as wallpaper, added a die cut window with the outside view of another design paper with clouds.  Adhered the bath cat image with 3D thin foam tape in front of the window, scattered a few bubbles and sporadically added liquid glass to some of the bubbles. I was pleased with the new scene for bath cat... hope you enjoy it too.

Hey Chickie - 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

Some of us from Our Little Crop Group attended many Copic Coloring Classes before the Pandemic at a local scrapbook store. The coloring packets were included in a plastic bag with all the cuts and trimmings and instructions to assemble a card.

These packets are stored in a plastic container beckening to be used... so below my card is the packet I chose for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.  There are times I used them just as is; however, I prefer to create my own card using some of the cuts and/or changing the sketch or colors.

Nicolette's Copic Card Class Packet changes:  One of my chicks were scrapped because of a pen leak.  The large egg was cut using a steel die to make a cup and another oval die to change the size to fit the cup. Used most all the other papers and embellishments in the kit but changed the initial sketch.  So I now claim this as my own creativity... but each as cute as the other.

Create Your Own Magic - Double Trouble Challenge #79 "A Magical Day"

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #79 "A Magical Day" partnering with Dies R Us, using at least one steel die.  I was also able to include this in ColorMyHeart Color Dare's Challenge #435 "Green + 1 Color... I chose blue as my additional color.

Before the Pandemic I attended many of the Copic classes offered at our local scrapbook store given by Jennifer Dove. I knew the magic I wanted to create so went to my Copic cards that were not completed and chose one of the Wizard cards.  Her kits include all the pieces for her design... however I like to make it my own layout and choose only to use some of the items so that it's not the same as those attending the class.

The Wizard frame was cut using a Square Stiched Die.  I needed to complete the coloring of the frame and wizard, and then choose some patterned paper and embellishments. In CTMH Mix-In I found a perfect green plaid match for my background and layered it on black cardstock, added the stars and sentiment and done.  I have two more wizards that I need to complete so you may see them later this year.

At Double Trouble Our Things 1, 2 and 3 sure bring on some wierd combinations but I like to challenge them all; however, you have the flexibility of doing just Thing 1 "A Magical Day" and be eligible for our random draw.

For those that really like more of a challenge may want to include Twisted Sister's optional twist and/or enter at our partner's challenge if you have met their requirement... and you will be rewarded additional chances for the random draw. Please join us at Double Trouble Challenges.

Please check the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #345  for their DT inspiration and other entrants to their challenge too.

You Put the Sunshine in my Day - Double Trouble Challenge #78 "Wearin' o' the Green"

Here is my DT for Double Trouble's "Wearin' o' the Green" Challenge and what a fun optional twist to include plaid in your project so that you can also enter your project at Use Your Stuff "Plaid".

I'm going back to my Jennifer Dove's Copic Class inventory to find an image with a lot of green and put a card together.  The kit included all the parts for my card and with some minor cutting changes my layout was very similar to the one provided.  So, this card only took me less than half an hour to create, but that doesn't include the time spent on the coloring.  Used distressing around the image and sentiment, wrapped twine around the card around the layers and completed using liquid glass to the raindrops.

At Double Trouble Our Things 1, 2 and 3 sure bring on some wierd combinations but I like to challenge them all; however, you have the flexibility of doing just Thing 1 to use green in your project and be eligible for our random draw.

Fine and Dandy - H2H Jan 2018 Wk#5

I was really puzzled on what I would do with this theme. Looking up "Fine and Dandy" on the internet...Dandy comes from Dandelion. Middle Age England dandelions were a symbol of prosperity, therefore fine and dandy means everything is great, good and prosperous. So my initial thought was a dandelion.

However, in our Copic Class on Saturday we did a real cute image of Duckies...and what's finer and dandier than a bunch of ducks wading in a pool of puddles.  Made my card CAS because I didn't want to take away from the image.  Pulled out my cricut and did a talk bubble and sentiment and adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape.

Team B - Hostess: Brandi. Please hop on by H2H to view the beautiful inspiration from our DT, and join us in this Challenge. As you will  see even we have different interpretations of what "Fine and Dandy" means so really it is about you and how you interpret the theme.  You have all month to create and submit. Check out the other January challenges...you still have time to enter a project for them too...earn a badge for Perfect Attendance if you create a card for each weekly theme during that month.
