Wile E Coyote Birthday

Hi and I hope all is well with you.

So... I've had this Impression Obsession stamp for ages and was waiting for the right time and card to use it and it's finally happened! I needed a card for a guy who has a great sense of humour and I knew he would appreciate it on his birthday card. Then off to find a roadrunner or coyote image but of course I wasn't able to find a suitable digi and didn't have a stamp so I went to the colouring pages (Wile E Coyote Coloring Page- DinoKids. - Coloring Home) and found this guy right away. Every time I look at this card, it makes me laugh because I remember as a kid, every Saturday morning sitting and watching that ole coyote trying to trap the roadrunner and never succeeding.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Bucket and Spade - All Dressed Up Challenge

Hi there!  Today's card is for the April challenge at All Dressed Up stamps and I've used Bucket & Spade as my choice of digi images this month.  This cute little gal is ready to go to the beach regardless of the dump of snow so we've received over the last couple of days so this card seems very timely to me.  The snow  is actually a good thing, it's heavy and full of moisture so it will help out the new planting of grass we did this week.

I am such a fan of the Impression Obsession sentiment stamps, it seems like there's one which fits every occasion perfectly.  This is The Beach is Calling which I've had for ages and this seemed like a good time to use it.

Reach High & Breathe - All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge

Hi there!  Hope you are well as we wend our way through the winter months.  I for one am looking forward to spring which happens to be my favourite season.
Today's card is for the January challenge at All Dressed Up stamps and I've used the Reach High image.  I really like these Yoga girls Wendy has drawn up, they are very sweet.
I sponged some Picked Raspberry distress ink and then splashed some water drops to get the mottled effect and then went ahead and stamped the sentiment.

Today is the beginning of a new challenge at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog so for my card I decided to use the Pool Ready image from last month's digi release at All Dressed Up Stamps. Mermaid - Impression Obsession

Hi there and I hope you are well!  I'm wishing I was either a mermaid or in a warm place where a mermaid might be because as I write this, it is -27 Celcius which is around -16 Farenheit.  That's cold so I won't be sticking my nose out of the house today.
This is an Impression Obsession stamp which I just loved when I saw it so of course I had to buy it.  The sentiment is Impression Obsession also and I thought it was perfect for the image.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  If it is winter, stay warm.  If you live in a warm place... lucky you!

Reindeer Games - Sugar Nellie

Happy Friday!  Wowsa, the first month of the year is nearly done and most of us are probably wondering how that happened so quickly.
So far, our winter has been great with above freezing temps for this last week.  We didn't have much snow to begin with but with the warm temps, it's melting fast.
This is a digi image called Reindeer Games and is available here in the  Funky Kits shop.
http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/
I've used Copics to colour the image, the Snowflake is from Impression Obsession and the Stitched Circle is from CC Designs.

Finally, a chance to use this Whippersnapper stamp I've had in the box 'curing' for about 4 years now.

Christmas Postie

Time for a new challenge at All Dressed Up and in case you haven't heard, our challenges will now always have the theme of Anything Goes. Occasionally there might be a twist but it will always be Anything Goes.
For my card, I used one of the little gals from the Christmas Postie.
You know how sometimes you have a card which seems like it was just never meand to be?  That's what happened with this and for the life of me, I don't know why it was such a struggle but by the time I got it finished and saw the Frantage spots on the cat, I just gave up.  You can add only so many snowflakes and sentiments to cover up mistakes and I didn't think the kitten would look great with a big snowflake plastered over his face!  It took me three days to get this card done... I couldn't seem to concentrate and then when the mess-ups started to happen, my interest really started to falter.  If it hadn't been coloured, it would have hit the garage.  So funny because now when I look at it, I can't remember all the boo-boos except for the big brown streak under the sentiment but it's covered nicely.
Be sure to head on over to All Dressed up blog to check out the rest of the team's creations, and maybe enter the Anything Goes challenge while you are there and the only requirement is that you use an All Dressed Up image.
Don't forget to stop by our Facebook Group to keep up to date with all the latest All Dressed Up news, and chat to fellow crafters.
Have a great week!

Wildflower Beauty

I had a birthday card to make for a very special little gal who is turning six.  She loves the Disney movie Frozen and I think her favourite character is Elsa.  I hunted around for an image that might work and then stumbled across someone's blog who had used the Wildflower Beauty image from Sami Stamps and I thought it worked perfectly!  Then my next quest was to find some pretty, icy and blue paper and I found that at Bearly Mine with the Winter Swirls Collection.  The card is fairly simple and I managed to put it together in a very short time so I hope she likes it.

 Copic Colours:

Apple of My Eye

Hope you are having a  great week and getting a lot of crafting done.  I'd get a lot more done if I wasn't so easily distracted but oh, well!  This image is one from Whimsy's July release  Apple of My Eye and the sentiment is also included as part of the 6 piece set.  The papers are from Whimsy's Cottage Garden collection.  The oval die is Cheery Lynn's Polynesian Sails and I just love the lacy texture of this one.  Now when I look at this pic, I think I should have added some little pearls - funny how I just don't see those things until it is up on the screen.  The butterfiles is a cute little set from Impression Obsession and all five shapes are included.  It is DIE046-A
The image is coloured with Copics and I added some Shabby Pink Frantage to the image oval and butterflies.
Copics:
Bark:  E59, E57, E55, E51
Flowers:  R85, R83, R81.  I got a little too dark and went in with a white Prisma pencil and tried to lighten it up.  It helped a bit but I wish I hadn't gone so dark.
Leaves:  G28, G24, G21.  After they were all coloured, I went over some leaves with YG00 and over the rest with YG23.
Be sure to check in later in the week because I hope to have some candy up as a thank you to my followers and a 'welcome' to you new ones.

Snowflakes

The February challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' is Snowflakes and my card is a reminder that you still have time to get your entry in.  I'm not sure about you but this snowflake thing is very fitting for the chilly part of Canada I live in.  Luckily, winter is almost over and soon little sprigs of that lovely green grass will be poking up.
This month's challenge is sponsored by Funky Kits and I've used their Sugar Nellie Reindeer Games digi for my card.
Remember, all you need to do is have a snowflake somewhere on your project.  Also, there is a design team spot  open and the term is March to December with a commitment of one card/project per month.  So easy and for me, very enjoyable because it I can make Christmas cards all year long without the holiday rush and stress.
I had this peice of SEI Silver Valley paper in my stash and thought it would be perfect for the snowflake theme.  The big glittery snowflake was cut using Impression Obsession's Snowflake die and those sparkly gems are from my stash.  I don't recall the manufacturer but they aren't making them anymore - I spent about 2 hours searching the internet for these and they just aren't to be had... or at least I couldn't find them.
After colouring and putting the card together, I added Stardust Stickles  to the snowflakes on the image, the bells on the harness and around the edges.  Stickles Dry Fine Stardust Stickles were used for the snow and coat trim and a Viva Pearl Pen for the pearls on her crown and earrings.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley's Dreamy Days Sentiment set.

Happy Hallowe'en!

Just made it with getting the card up before Hallowe'en!
The sentiment & witch stamp are both by Impression Obsession & I coloured it with my Prisma pencils.
