Braver, Stronger, Smarter - Sugar Nellie

Another Happy Friday and wow, aren't they just speeding along so quickly?  I am with my Friday DT card for Sugar Nellie.   For today's card, I used one of the images from the super cute Wellington Bear set available at the Funky Kits store.
http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/
The sentiment is a Christopher Robin quote which I printed up on the computer using a Simply Glamorous and Underwood Champion fonts.  This image generates some mixed emotions for me... I love it but couple with the sentiment, it makes me stop and think and actually feel a little sad.  It is totally not what I intended when I created the card but it is how it makes me feel but I hope it would make a good encouragement or 'go for it' card for someone special.
There's always plenty going on over at Sugar Nellie so pop back in often because every day one of the gals on the DT features a  new project.  Also, don't forget to enter the Anything Goes challenge at the Sugar Bowl (remember to use a Funky Kits image) and there's always always plenty of inspiration and chatting on the Sugar Nellie Facebook Fan Page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Wellington Bear

Welcome to my new followers and I hope you enjoy your visit.  Today's card is using a stamp set I've had for a long time and was on my list of 'really want to use'.  It is Docraft's Wellington clear stamp set
#WEL 907100 and I found this little gem on Ebay.  It is quite a large set with four bigger images and several sentiments, including the one I used.

For the bear, I used Copic W5, W3 and W0 and then added W7 for the outer loose hairs.  Once it was coloured, I took a cloth dipped into blender solution and dabbed down on the image to give the fur a little texture.  The footpads are E09, E07, E04 and E02; the nose is E47, E43 and E41.  I had some tiny little black flat back pearls so I added them for eyes and dotted white highlights.  The paper is from the 7 Gypsies Postal collection and I love that paper pad (actually, there's never been a 7 Gypsies collection I haven't liked)!  The buttons are one of Prima's wood button sets.
Challenges:

QKR Stampede - For a Child
Paper Pretties - Buttons
