Merci and More Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challeng #7 cards.

I really don't like this set but since in was free -- ya got to give it a try, right? This is my first attempt. I think one of the things I don't like about the samples I have seen with this is the way this stamp looks colored in????? I really have not seen too many samples so that don't mean much, lol. Hence the reason I have NOT colored this in.

Stamp Sets: Merci and Simple Sayings II
Paper: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Rose Red and Whisper White
Ink: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Rose Red
Other: Paper piercer, markers, brads and coluzzle cutting system

And now for a couple more sketch challenge cards.....

Mouse and Chick -- strange combo

This was for the chat and challenge on SUDSOL. I only had 20 minutes from start to finish, you can kind of tell, lol. I do like the card tough. The mouse is holding the balloon from Birthday Whimsy set made to look like a big egg. The little chick is from Nursery Necessities and the words are from the Love and Happiness rub ons. Fun card.

Coffee and Flowers what could be better?

How brilliant is this? The flowers are from the Simply Said Set and they are being used like steam from the coffee cup in the Pun Fun set! Too cute. This card is actually created for the Featured Stampers challenge on SCS. Here is the card that inspired me. I loved her idea with the flowers coming up from the cup. The only other thing I kept from her card was the strip in the middle with the scallop border. I love how this turned out. The colors are super! I used the East Coast Prep designer papers and the coordinating colors of card stock -- Tempting Turquoise, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi and Real Red. The coffee cup has been clear embossed to make it look more like a real cup. And the half pearls are added to the flowers on the bottom that have been cut with the BoHo Blossoms flower punch. I finished it all off with the wide Real Red grosgrain ribbon.

Is this Jaw Dropping Beautiful or What?

I received this card in the mail a couple of days ago and my jaw actually hit the floor when I opened it. It is just absolutely stunning in real life. I can not believe how absolutely beautiful it is. Look at the shadow and all. The colors are wonderful and she even stamped the flowers again on the inside in a light color and then the greeting over the top. This is a real WOW card. Thank you so much Laura! I just love it. All of the detail are perfect! I wanted this set and talked myself out of it-- now I am confused-- I am not sure I could make a card THIS nice with it so maybe it was a good choice not to get it originally! Thanks again Laura, you are just too sweet.

My first creation with the Nestibilities.

This is just a quick and simple card. I finally got a couple of the Nestibilities from my hubby for a combined Christmas, Valentines and Birthday gift. I had to see how they worked. Too fun. Stamp set used: A Little Birdie Told Me. Pretty simple so I am leaving it at this. If you have a question feel free to ask.

Happy Bird Day.

I am soooo excited about this card. Very seldom do I have a card in my mind and it turns out EXACTALLY like I plan! This one did, yippeeeeeeeeeeeee..........

The best part about this card is that I had this idea right away when I seen this new Pun Fun set but kept putting off ordering it for other things. Well I just got it two days ago and was messing around with it for a swap I need to do. Well the swap had a "bit" of coloring --and I got bored so I decided to take a break and see what the challenge was today on Splitcoaststampers and to my amazement it was a window card! I knew I had to stop everything and make this card. Here is the inside view.

What a fun card! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Stamps: Pun Fun, Cheery Chat,, Love Ya Bunches
Paper: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White and Summer Picnic
Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive, Real Red
Accessories: Red polka dot ribbon, small and large oval punch, square scallop punch, see through circle die for Sizzix. markers

I have a few more samples for the sketch of the week to upload later but need to go spend some time with my son. See ya soon.

Male Birthday Whimsy

The new SAB sets this year really are fun! This is the Birthday Whimsy set that you can earn for free with a $50 order. I was looking for a male card and thought this set would work. The colors are Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip and of course Whisper White. Stamp sets used are Birthday Whimsy and It's Your Birthday. I used four punches for the sentiment--the designer label, lg oval, sm oval and word window punches. Since the happy birthday was longer than the regular word window punched size I extended it by stamping on a strip of paper that is just a hair under 1/4 inch wide. Insert the ends into the punch from the bottom and just cut off the end then repeat on other end. Hope this makes sense. Other than this is a pretty easy card. Hope you having a wonderful weekend.

Look Mom No Stamping!

I just adore how bright this paper is! How fun and EASY this card was. The flower is cut from the Bali Breeze dp and the sentiment is a rub on from the Anchored set! Got to love it. The only thing even remotely difficult was the sewing. The layout is from this week sketch challenge on SCS161.

Stamps: None
Paper: Purley Pomegranate, Basic Black and Bali Breeze dp
Ink: None
Accessories: sewing machine and Anchored rub ons

I get by with a little help from my friends!

Here is a really quick and silly card. The inside says, I get by with a little help from my friends. This is another personal challenge to my self -- I have hundreds of Non Stampin Up! stamps that just never ever get used. I have had this silly image from Image Tree for years and it has never even seen ink. I am challenging myself to use some of these stamps that are hidden away in large pizza boxes (22 of them). Hope you don't mind a little Non Stampin Up! once in a while. Maybe one a week???? I hate to have all of these just sitting around and I can not bear to sell them when I have not even used them, lol!

And here is more cards for the sketch challenge this week.

Easter Wishes.

The object of this card -which was a personal challenge to myself-was to make a Easter card with all current SU sets even though I have no current Easter sets! Hmmm, that took some thinking, lol. But I did it and I kind of like it. What do you think?

I know it looks like a simple card but there is really a lot going on with it. The little chick is from the Nursery Necessities set. The grass is from the stem in the Time Well Spent set. The pile of eggs and the main sentiment is from Loads of Love Accessories while Happy Spring is from Everyday Flexible Phrases. The base of the card is Wild Wasabi followed by Barely Banana and then a piece of the Blue Bayou dp. The focal image is done on Whisper White and layered on Barely Banana and Wild Wasabi. The scallops on the bottom were made with the scallop circle punch. Sentiment is stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the circle punch and layered on a Blue Bayou circle and than a Barely banana round tab punch left open. The little flowers and the dots are all free hand. Other supplies used were markers and ribbon. This was fun!

Wanna Scrap?

Boy do I feel better today! Thank you Lord. I am happy to say that I had fun stampin this morning and it seems my MoJo was just playing a little game of hide and seek. Well I am very good at the game, ask my son, so I found it! This card is for todays Limited Supply challenge on SCS. The challenge was to use scraps. Unfortunately I could do this every day for weeks on end all day long with no breaks and still not put a dent into my scrap pile! This is also a sneak peek at one of my future sketchs for my Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. (this sketch will be way down the road -- since I could not seem to stamp last night I created a few more sketches) The little flowers are popped up and the saying is a rub on! The squares are one inch.

Stamps: NONE!
Paper: Cutie Pie dp, Basic Black, Bashful Blue and So Saffron
Ink: NONE
Accessories: three in one punch, black marker, sewing machine
