Mixed-media Tissue Box Holder by Szafranowe Twory

 Hey!

The only truly essential piece of equipment in a psychotherapy office is a tissue box holder. Okay… maybe armchairs are important too, but the tissue holder is definitely a must-have in a place like this.

That’s why I love beautiful tissue box holders that accompany me in my everyday work. This time I decorated one using decoupage paper, and the result turned out absolutely amazing!

How do you like it?

Quick decoupage paper tutorial:

1️⃣ Paint your base with a primer – I recommend HEAVY GESSO WHITE

2️⃣ Cut a piece of paper – I used DECOUPAGE FIBER PAPER – CHESTNUT STREET

3️⃣ Apply glue to the surface – SOFT MATTE GEL or SOFT GLOSS GEL

4️⃣ Stick the paper on and smooth it with your hand – see how perfectly it lays!

5️⃣ Trim excess paper with scissors and smooth the edges with sandpaper

6️⃣ Seal everything with SOFT MATTE GEL or SOFT GLOSS GEL

7️⃣ Now you can add paste through a stencil or other creative elements

✨ Pro tip: This paper never wrinkles – even beginners can achieve a professional-looking result!

Rusty Dragonfly Plaque by Lanette

Hello, You Amazing Creative Souls!

Today I’m excited to share my latest project — an altered MDF plaque brought to life with a mix of Finnabair’s stunning new moulds!

I began by building up a rich, dreamy base in shades of purple, adding texture and shimmer with Finnabair’s Golden Nugget Paste. From there, I layered on a variety of resin pieces cast from the brand-new moulds — and honestly, they’re absolutely must-haves! I mean, just look at that dragonfly — pure magic, right? 💜

To finish it off, I blended everything together with rich touches of Rust Paste and a hint of metallic wax, creating that perfectly aged, weathered look I adore.

If you’d like to see this Rusty Plaque come together step by step, you can catch my full process video over on the Finnabair YouTube Channel!

Thanks so much for stopping by today — I hope this piece inspires you to dive into your own creative craft time!

Until next time — Hugs & Happy Creating!

Lanette
