Sunday: Northerly 35 knots, easing to 15 knots south of Mahia Peninsula in the morning, becoming 25 knots everywhere in the afternoon. Very rough sea easing. Southwest swell 1 metre. Northerly swell rising to 2 metres. Poor visibility in periods of rain. Possible morning and afternoon thunderstorms north of Tolaga Bay.

Monday: Northerly 25 knots. Becoming northerly 10 knots everywhere in the morning, rising to 20 knots in the afternoon. Rough sea easing. Moderate northeast swell easing.

Tuesday: Northwest 20 knots, easing to westerly 10 knots south of Mahia Peninsula late. Moderate southerly swell developing, but moderate northwest swell north of East Cape.

Wednesday: Becoming westerly 30 knots but southerly 35 knots south of Mahia Peninsula early. Sea becoming very rough in the south. Moderate southerly swell, but moderate northwest swell north of East Cape, becoming heavy southerly swell everywhere.
