Epiphany

Hi Everyone

I've been catching up on the Paint fusion pick of the week this week and i love the new stamps from Sheena.  I wasn't lucky enough to create samples for the new stamps but i love the lilac stamp and i need to paint one.  Off to buy one.

Well peek of the week is in full flow but theres still another new item to see tomorrow the Epiphany Tool and Leann will be demoing this tomorrow i can't wait to see it in action.  I have had the button tool and i have already ordered some more from the CC website, a heart, two circles a square and some of the frames etc.  Can't wait for them to arrive.

Coloured with speccies and using fairyopolis backing paper from the CD Rom.

Hope you like it.

Autumn Fairy

Hi Everyone

Another card using the autumn fairy from the Faiiryopolis range of stamps from Crafters Companion.  This is one of my favourite ones coloured with speccies.  However i think i need to add a sentiment or a few other bits and pieces.  What do you think.

I love this script paper and its printed from the fairyoplis CD pack.  Theres 3 CD's all in one pack, fab value.  Last time i used the paper i put in on upside down and hadn't realised.  Must watch out for that one.

I haven't used my pencils this time to finish off so its just coloured with the speccies and i love them.

Hope you like it.

Fairyopolis Samples

Hi Everyone

I've added all my fairyopolis samples i made for my demo yesterday.  There is a mixture using all of the items listed, Triple Disc CD, 12" Paper pad, Die Cut Decoupage, card Blanks and rub ons.  All of them can be found on t Crafters Companion Website Fairyopolis range.

I love the script paper from the cd and on the opposite side i have embossed plain white card in my cuttlebug and used a tip Sara Davis mentioned on C&C this week.  I added my distress ink to the folder first and then ran it through and it gives a really nice effect.  I've coloured the image with speccies and then just added a bit ribbon and flowers.  Kevin has taken this card for his mams birthday so he must have liked it.
This is a decoupage image and a square card blank, again with the script pattern.  i've used a rub on sentiment and i just love them.  they are so easy to work with and give a fab result.  I've also added spray and sparkle to her wings and lovely green paper from the paper pad.
Another decoupage image using a card blank, coredinations and a rub on sentiment.

This image is one of the rub on images and again they are fab and and easy to use for a quick and simple card.  Sometimes i just don't have the time to spend ages on a card so these are the perfect way to go.
Another beautiful card blank and an image and sentiment rub on.

this one above using decoupage i made a couple of weeks ago and i love the simplicity of it.  Now yesterday while i had a bit of a quiet moment from demoing the ultimate i thought i would make a card while waiting and I've added it below.  I never realised i already had one nearly exactly the same.
Not much difference really.... but it was a total coincidence.  The colour matting is slightly different but they are nearly the same.  As i never had my cuttle bug with me i used my springtime embossing board in the ultimate for the 2 circles and flower and leaves.

hope you like them.

Fairyopolis, Summer stamp set

Hi Everyone

Just got back from my demo in Livingstone, Hobbycraft and it was such a busy day.  the queues at the till were so long, don't know where everyone came from and the SEC was on in Glasgow as well.  Was demoing the ultimate pro and fairyopolis as well  as other fave CC products.  Everyone who already had the Ultimate only had great things to say about it and of course i could agree as i use mine everyday.
Anyway here is my second fairyopolis card coloured with speccies and using the pencils again.
Now i would never have put blue and purple/pinks together but because it was in the background paper i have chosen another blue paper to match.  I was talking to a lady today who said she had been card making for years.  She said the only thing she struggled with was matching colours together.  So i said what i did is just put them together and see how they go and if that doesn't work look at other peoples cards for their colour matches.
She then went on to buy the fairy stamps to take home and try some of the colours i had used.  Lovely lady.  She had her coat buttoned up wrong but i didn't have the heart to tell her (i think i should have maybe).

Ok now going to get another cup of tea and browse the blogs for all your fab cards.

Hope you like it.

Fairyopolis- Rosehip Fairy

Hi Everyone

Just a quick post as i need to be up really early for my demo in scotland tomorrow.  I'm going to the store opening of Hobbycraft, unit 5, almondvale retail park, livingston eh54 6rq. All day tomorrow and there are some fab offers and prizes to be had.

Well i finally got the Chance to test my new skills that i learned at a colouring class a couple of weeks ago using alcohol pens and polychromo pencils.  I attended a fab class with Lily of the Vally and the fab Jaqui Dennis and Bev Rochester.  I did this all for my self as a treat, even though i felt i could get could result.  However  i really wanted to learn how to do it properly and try to get amazing results that i have seen others getting.  and i met a fab group of like minded crafters and had a fab day.  Even though i was naughty and kept going ahead of everyone else, i'm far too impatient for my own good.  The secret is using the pencils to outline dark areas and blend this with sansodar using paper stumps. To find out more go to jacquis blog where she has a fab tutorial.  All fascinating stuff.  And i love the results.
I've stamped the image using my rockablocks and rosehip from the autumn fairyoplis stamp set. I've coloured it using my speccies, love them. I need to colour everyday.  I've then chosen two different background papers from the autumn cd and used a rub on sentiment.

A few flowers and leaves to finish and i really do love this image and card.

Hope you like it.

Drawer Card, Fairyopolis

Hi Everyone

I've been busy with my Crafters Companion ultimate pro and the advanced construction technique dvd   I used to be a plain 6x6 inch card maker but since using the ultimate i cannot stop making things.  I love it.  For anyone out there please let me put your mind at rest that i never always felt this way and it was really just about me using it more and more and becoming more practised in using it.  it really didn't tkae me long though just a couple of days of trying different things.

Today i have made a drawer easel card from the DVD and also used an image from the Fairyopolis Decoupage packs.  The background paper is from the fairyopolis 12x12" paper pad  and they are all stunning and compliment the fairy images perfectly.   I just love fairies and have done since i was a child.  My older sister and i had the original books and used to copy the fairy drawings and colour them in on Sunday afternoons.

The card used to make the drawers and flowers is coredenation all in the family, grapes.  I have embossed the card using the ultimate pro embossing board springtime sweets and cupcake treats and if you have seen some of my other posts you will see it is a favourite of mine for the flowers you can create. The two matting and layering circles are from the same board and again were very easy to do and i have distressed the card with the sand it gadget.

The only extra things i have used are some purple ribbon and some brads for the drawer fronts and for the flower centres.  The tag is embossed form the same board as the flowers so no need for more expensive die cut templates.  The with love sentiment is also from the fairyopolis range, fairyoplis 6x12" rub ons .  i gave up trying rub ons a while ago as they never seemed to work for me but again the quality of these from CC is fab. It worked first time.  Oh and nearly forgot I've used iridescent spray and sparkle on the fairy wings but the photo doesn't do it justice.

Hope you like it.

Brown and Green Fairy

Hi Everyone

Another 3D paper pieced image and this time it is a manga fairy.  I've used my favourite spectrum noir pens to colour her and have also used the spray and sparkle on her wings but it doesn't stand out much on the photo.
I started colouring the image yesterday afternoon and have just finished it about 10 minutes ago and i can tell you it was loads harder than the swalk images i have done as there were a lot more pieces to cut out.  I've put a close up below but don't look too close as its not perfect and so what if the spots on the toadstool are not perfect.   And i can see a black splodge on her wing, its so easy to make mistake i think there must be about 8 layers on this one at least.

The background paper is from my K&Co paper pad and i can't remember where i got the ribbon, or charm from but the flowers are from Wild orchid crafts.

Hope you like it and i am going to enter this into the ribbon girl colour challenge green and brown.
