And hello 2013, my first post of the year.........  Its time for the Crafters companion Monthly Challenge blog and this months theme is anything but a card.  So get your thinking caps on and get crafty with all of your CC goodies.

I've decided I've had enough of Christmas today and thought i would go for something really fresh and spring like so yellow and purple it is for Mothers Day.  This gorgeous Morehead Stamp is coloured with my Spectrum Noirs and i have made a trinket/gift box that i found while mooching on blogs.  so here is the link for the tutorial.  It was so easy to make with my Ultimate pro and boxer board.  I've coloured with spectrum noirs and then used papers from the Morehead CD printed onto white centura pearl card to construct the box as its a really good weight.  The inside box is only printed on the matt side of the centura pearl and the inside is left white.  The cover of the box is printed on both sides and i have placed the pearlescent side to the inside for the cover. I've added gingham ribbon and two flowers made from quilling dies, small sunflower and small camelia and then added brads to the centre of each.  The sentiment inside is just typed on my pc and then cut using one of the diesire tags.

I've added some roses from my Christmas choccie stash but you could add anything you like  jewellery  candles, a scarf  the list is endless.  What I really wanted to make was a baby version with rolled up little socks and vests etc but i didn't have any of these ling around.  Wouldn't this be fab for a new baby gift?  and don't forget it will be very easy to change the size to accommodate whatever you are giving as a prezzie.



Quite plain and simple but very effective i think.

Hi Everyone

Today is another Craft Punked blog challenge and this weeks theme is beside the sea.  My first thought was to make a card using the lovely new SWALK image with the little boy and girl by the sea but i thought that was a bit too obvious.  So i changed my mind and used this fab little image from the Morehead Double CD ROM as when i think of beside the sea i think of Ice cream, (as well as sand, freezing cold water and harsh winds)  The backing paper also reminds me of deck chairs too and my mam and dad shouting at each other about how to put them up without nipping fingers........ oh happy days!

So i have printed and image form the cd and used coredinations and backing paper from the cd too to matt and layer.  The bunting and sentiment are all from the cd too and i used one of my punches for the border.  The image is layered onto the centre of one of the CC new dies, Enchanted Spring.

Hi Everyone

Its the 1st of August and time for a Crafters Companion Blog Challenge, this month Best Friends is the them.  So as i thoroughly enjoyed making the few cards i did for samples for the Pick of the week i though i would make another as i never got round to making a shaped card.  So this is from the Morehead CD Disc 1 and i have used my Epiphany Tool to make a matching embellishment using a square charm.  For the inside i have added a special verse from the verse writer on the CD.  Sometimes i genuinely forget that this option is available on CC Cd's and there are lots of verses already created for you, all you have to do is choose which one.

And can you spot the die cut behind the verse this is something new and exciting from CC.................  they will be coming to you all soon................

Hi Everyone

I have a very quick and easy card to share today that i made yesterday as i have loads to do and not enough time to fit it in.  Its using the Everyday Decoupage Kits that will launch on Friday with Leann on Create and Craft at 12pm.  I have teamed it up with the swalk Hunkydory kits that were launched back in May as i thought the colours matched perfectly.  The card base is from the Daisy meadow Kit and i have coloured a foiled sentiment and butterfly using my Spectrum Noir CT1 pen.  Then all i have added is a paper doily from my stash.  It took me about 15 mins to make which is good going for me.

Hi Everyone

I have been sooooo excited to share with you our new range of stamps and CD from CC this one is just so gorgeous and cute.  I have used backing papers from the CD rom 1 (as its a double CD) and stamp called raindrops.  Of course i have coloured with what else?  Spectrum Noirs in my favourite turquoises.  I have also sewn around the papers and can you tell i was going for the rustic look with my sewing, i really must practice some straight lines..............

The new CD to be launched on Friday 27th is packed full of cute images as you would expect and thee are 8 stamps to choose from.  There is also an everyday and Christmas range of decoupage and it is all so cute i don't know how you are going to choose.  The CD has some really fab card companions just ready for you to make up and there is a fab new section of shaped cards, wait til you see some of the DT's sneak peeks they are fab.

And, there is a fab competition ...................  you need to be logged in as a member on the  Crafters companion website  to view and the prize is a Morehead Twin CD Rom and an Everyday and Christmas decoupage kit to a total value of over £50.
