Masterboard ATB

I created another masterboard using fresco paints, limelight, tango, submarine, cherry red and chalk.

I cut them up and stuck them randomly on the two strips I'd made to create the box.

I stamped the Dina images and words in black versa fine.

Then I put the box together. It's roughly 3" square.

And the other sides.

And the top.

PaperArtsy have their final challenge of the year which is masterboards, go over and check it out.

Halloween ATB

I was recently invited to join a FB group called mini marvels and there is a halloween challenge going on at present, so I decided to join in with my little 2.75" ATB.

The box is coloured with black pearl DA dazzling metallics and the panels with eggplant and pumpkin patch DA multi surface paints. The images are heat embossed with black embossing powder.

And the top I just coloured in pumpkin patch and edged with eggplant.

All paint mediums are from the DecoArt Range.

It's a Small World

Over at ABAC they have a mini spotlight challenge of it's a small world. My box is 2" square and the panels measure 1 & 3/4".

I coloured the box in red and the panels in orange.  I wanted to keep it fairly plain with the squares being so small.

So I used oriental symbols on each of the sides.

And a PaperArtsy wooden stamp symbol for the top. Finally I edged the sides in black.

Wings and Things

Over at A Vintage Journey they have a theme of wings and things.

Over on Amandas blog she'd made an ATB but cut some heart shapes out the sides to make a light box which you can see here. I, with permission, pinched her idea and using the butterfly movers and shapers die cut the shapes out of opposites sides of the ATB.

I covered the cut out shapes with T!m's tissue wrap, and stamped some images in stazon.

Also added stamping to the other two sides.

I used one of the die cut shapes on the lid and added a mini safety pin for the body. I stamped the bee from the TH set onto the same gelli print page and cut it out as over at Fashionable Stamping, they have a theme of birds and bees.

Stampotique ATB

Over at Stampotique this week they have a theme of boxes, so I went for another ATB which stands for Altered Trading Block just in case you were wondering!

I used various shades of blue and purple gelatos to colour the box and the background panels.

Stamped the various Stampotique images onto the square panels and added background stamps using black archival ink.

Flicked on white paint and added some doodling with the white Posca pen.

Chose a relevant sentiment for the top and added some ink splats.

Summer of Colour - Week One

Over at Twinkle, Twinkle Like a Star blog a new colour challenge has been set. There are two main colours and then a third which is meant to be a smudge, splash or pop. So the turquoise and yellow are the main colours with the hot pink, yes I did say pink, being a pop.

I had soooo many ideas running through my head, so firstly I decided on an ATB.

I coloured the box turquoise, and the panels yellow.

I stamped the LP images in black archival.

And finally added a touch of hot pink to each of the panels, but because it's over yellow paint, it looks more red than pink!!

I also wanted to use one of my new stencils. The background is brayered with turquoise and yellow paint and due to the over lapping some areas have gone green! The butterflies are stencilled through with magenta pan pastel and I added a mini peg to the body of the middle one. Ribbon is coloured with distress stains.

Same brayering technique except I started with a kraft tag which is why the yellow looks much darker. Stencilled the heart with magenta paint. Stamped the Dina Wakley collaged hearts onto a separate piece of card and cut them out. Dream is a new (to me) Clarity stamp from the word chain 5 set.

And lastly I created a master board as I wanted to use my new Hero Arts stamps.

I am sorry that it's such a long post, but you are only allowed one link up to the challenge.

ATB

I decided to make another ATB just because I could!!

I used various LP face images.

On the background I used the scratchy square from EV stamped in timber brown stazon.

The words and star are from a Sara Naumann PA plate and stamped in black archival.

And finally a view from the top.

I'm entering into the Fashionable Stamping challenge again with my 3d object.

***Edited*** The colours are PURPLE and orange not PINK and orange!! You lot really do need your eyes testing!!

ATB

Over at Simon Says Wednesday they have a challenge of die crazy, so I decided I wanted to make an altered trading box (ATB).

I coloured the outside of the box purple and stamped a PA mini script in black stazon.

I coloured the inside panels in lime green and stamped the EV scratchy rectangle in cactus green stazon.

I stamped various images from the PA Ink and Dog wings plates onto the panels in black stazon.

I stamped the flourish and post marks in olive green stazon.

And added some of the frameworks die cuts in black and green card.

And some feet using the wooden sudoko tiles and colouring with a black marker.

And a cut out butterfly from TH crowded attic patterned papers for the top.

I'm also entering into Fashionable Stamping challenges this week as Alison (aka Butterfly) has chosen a theme of a 3d object.

ATB - Love theme

Having looked around a few challenge posts, the theme for February seems to be moving towards 'love' what with valentines and the like, so I decided to have a go at another ATB. So after measuring, cutting and scoring, I started by colouring some packaging with a mix of barn door, festive berries and seedless preserve distress paints. For some reason after this photo they went a bit orangey as opposed to the true colours as above.

I stamped the edges of each panel with PA minis, flourishes, script and splodges in black archival ink.

I decided to use the same type of feet for the base as they are very stable and easy to attach!!

And the rest of the sides.

For the top I dyed a piece of white lace with festive berries distress stain and added a couple of small chipboard hearts.

I used little black dress and blood orange fresco to colour the Sizzix chipboard heart, covered it in a layer of rock candy crackle paste. Added a piece of hessian, tulle, a glittered heart brad and a couple of eyelets.

Wooden heart coloured with metallic distress paints and stamped in little black dress fresco.

Heart covered in a layer of rich red ranger embossing powder, then a coat of pomegranate wow powders. Wings embossed, painted in little black dress and ruby TG rubbed over the raised areas.

Two hearts mounted on a piece of black tulle and ric rac. Hearts painted in blood orange and little black dress. Two gems from Hobby House from the ruby mix selection added to smaller heart.

So the challenges I would like to enter are -
Arty Inklings - love theme, dimensional and some stamping
Hobby House - anything goes but at least 1 item from Hobby House
ABAC - Tic Tac Toe - choose a line - I have used all items except #6
Simon Says Stamp Monday - love notes
