Day 23 Tags - More Steampunk

I created the backgrounds using patterned papers, gesso, a stencil and distress inks.

I put a few bits and bobs together and ended up with these finished tags above for the #fabtag30day challenge.

Day 14 Tags

A flurry of oriental tags today towards the #fabtag30day challenge.

Red and black and lots of gold embossing.

Black and cream with lots of gold embossing.

Lots more gold embossing and a patterned paper.

More gold embossing and origami papers.

A smaller really plain tag.

Another smaller tag, but still lots of gold embossing.

FABric Tags - Boho Style

I out some scraps of fabric onto a tag shape to cover the background, then sewed around the edges with the machine.

And the same again for this one.

Then I played around with some other pieces of fabric to create a layout I liked.

And again, did the same with the other one.

Once happy, I got the sewing machine out again and attached all the fabric pieces.

And I did the same for this one. And as you can see, I slightly changed the layout of this one from the original.

Here they are out in the garden side by side.

Close up of the broken jewellery piece.

This image has a piece of wadding underneath so it puffs out.

And another piece of the broken jewellery to finish it off.

These are my day 5 tags for the FABtag30 challenge.

Recent Additions to Oriental Text Page Book

I added my triptych to one of the black and gold pages with a band of trim so it slides in and out as opposed to sticking it in, which was my original intention.

I added my recently made pocket envelope and tags to a red and black page.

And the window envelope pocket went onto a black and gold page.

Another Oriental Scrapbook Page

I was just playing around with layering some different papers.  I now wish I had mounted the main image on a dark colour background, but too late now!

More Goodies

I got these papers and trims from roze.co.uk.

Close up of all the wonderful trims that were half price. It was only when I posted up this photo that I noticed one was missing from the package. I ordered 9 but only 8 arrived.

Feather and elephant charms.

This is a bit thicker than tissue paper with a metallic pattern running through it.

Oriental tape.

Origami papers - lovely variety pack.

Amazon Cardboard Packaging

Amazon cardboard packaging which contained a book I think.

Working out some sizes and folds.

I cut some papers and wrote the corresponding mark on each of the sides and papers so I knew which pieces I'd cut for which sides and also the direction I wanted the pattern to go.

And this is the finished piece.

Inside are a couple of pockets, one housing a notebook I've made and the other, two tags.

And the inside without the contents.

Added material over the hinges as it's more flexible than paper. I also added one of my paper tassels and boho beads from a previous make.

Close up of the notebook.

Inside the notebook.

And finally the tags.
