Lynn Perrella is coming to town
Using my PA stamps designed by Lynn Perrella I created this collage. Once I'd completed the stamping, I coloured them in with gelatos and smudged and blended the colours. This is because Lynn Perrella is coming to the UK in September to take a 3 day workshop in Scotland so I thought I'd get in the mood.

Tags & Atcs
Had a play with some backgrounds today and made these tags. I coloured the images with my zig pens which I haven't used for a while.
A couple more with Lynn Perrella Paperartsy stamps and a compass stencil I bought ages ago but hadn't used until now.
And finally a couple of Atc's. I cut the Teesha Moore boy with the hair image in half and used one for each atc.

Twinchies
Today I made 10 twinches for a swap I've got involved in over on a FB group. The Mona Lisa one is a napkin, the very bottom one is paint stamped onto fabric, the cogs and X are die cuts, the oriental one is stamped LP image and the others are from printed images.
***Edited***
Made some envies to post my twinches out in.

Oriental Card
Carrying on with the squares and dies I made an oriental card.
Close up of the Seth die cuts, the LP stamped image and the butterfly.
PaperArtsy have a theme of squares and grid.
Oriental Adventure
I've carried on with the oriental theme, but I also wanted to incorporate some of my new birthday presents, ie Seth's dies.
Close up of the stamping and the die cuts, top left panel.
The cross bar die with a Lynne Perrella PaperArtsy stamped image.
Cherry red, blood orange and little black dress fresco paints brayered onto the die cuts and oriental script paper backing.
PaperArtsy have a theme this week of squares and grids.

Tag Playtime
Well as it was chucking it down all morning, I decided to do something I've not done for a long time, play with some tags!
The backgrounds are mainly Crayola Twist Stiks but they don't blend very well and need 'help', so gesso was applied to the tags first which helps them move across the page better.
Close up - stamping with inks and chalky paints.
And pretty much the same thing for this one, just stamped until I got the look I wanted. I added some white pen work to this one.

More Art Journal Pages
Another Andy Warhol style page using 'spare' images from my James weekend.
Another of my gelli print pages.
More Lynne Perrella stamped images using black stazon.
Mounted onto a piece of card painted with multi coloured edges.
Some parts from the images were outlined in white Posca pen.
The white heart is outlined in white Posca pen.
The border for this page was created using strips from magazine pages along with the pieces to create the main image.
I added some writing and did a bit of doodling to finish this page off.

Blue, Blue & Green
The Summer of Colour challenge has started again and I also wanted to try out my new DecoArt Multi Surface Satin paints. Before I knew what the colour scheme was I'd already painted the MDF plaque with the chartreuse and deep turquoise. The paints are gorgeous, when dry they leave a sheen like it's been varnished, but it's not a glossy finish. It's hard to explain but they are lush and the colours so vibrant.
Stamped the Lynne Perrella PA image in black archival, masked it off and over stamped with 2 PA minis in blue stazon. Painted the outside border with night sky DecoArt multi surface paint to finish it off.

Tick Tock
PA have a challenge theme of shiny stuff which you can see here. So I blinged up an MDF wooden tag using gems, metal, metallic lustre and metal embellishments.
I stencilled some white modelling paste through the TH honeycomb stencil and pounced some up the sides using the back of the spatula. Once dry I applied a coat of white gesso and then coloured with green gold media paint and went over the textured areas with phthalo green-blue.
Close up of the coloured texture.
I added brilliant turquoise metallic lustre over the texture for more bling.
I added metallic cog and clock embellishments and a tag and safety pin.
I switched the hat on the LP image with a clock and cog related one from Choc Baroque and coloured it with metallic silver and gold.
And finally I added a strip of fancy metal which I picked up last year at Version Scrap and added some gold coloured gemstones.

Cards and Tags
It's my sisters birthday next week, so had to make her a card. Used one of the backgrounds I made in the previous post, stamped my new lost coast bird and the raindrops by Ryn and hey presto, finished. I used my Stampotique alphabet to write sister but messed it up so had to improvise with my new set of EV stamps!!
And in a couple of weeks it's my nieces birthday too. I made this background when Emma came to play, it's stamping with brushos which was great fun. Just cut it down and mounted it onto black then onto the red card.
And the bird and the raindrops on the tag backgrounds I did earlier too with the new media misters.

Pan Pastel Backgrounds
More pan pastels with stencils and versa mark ink. Again this background was created just using the one colour.
Then I added some stamping in black archival. The main image, grungy silhouette is by Dina Wakley.
I used a mix of magenta, blue and purple for this background, but I put way too much purple on and it was really dark, so out came my new toy, the translucent blender and wow I was impressed, it really toned down the colour as you can see. Hearts are from a Dina Wakley set and grunge circles are by Hero Arts. The dots are sequin waste.
Then I simply added lonely girl, another stamp by Dina Wakley, in black versa fine ink.
I used the bamboo stencil on this background along with red, orange and yellow pan pastels.
I stamped the images in black versa fine, the main image is from a LP PA plate and the top two are my new wooden stamps picked up for half price at Port Sunny at the weekend.

Shades of Green
Artful Times have one of my favourite themes this week, shades of green including evergreen and hint of mint from the new LB Christmas collection. This project is built up of various die cuts and painted in green shades of PaperArtsy fresco paints.
Hope you can find time to join in, as if yours is picked you can win a £10 voucher to spend at Oyster Stamps.

Double Arches
Over at Artful Times this week we have a theme of 'arches'. I decided on a double arch, patterned paper and my lovely LP stamp of the butterfly lady, which I stamped onto script tissue paper. Several colour washes of fresco seaweed and chartreuse.
I just covered the back in a piece of script paper.
And the lovely Hazel kindly sent me a pad of totally indestructible paper, so I added a couple of words and sent this off to her.

A Play with Tags
I'd been playing with brushos, bondaweb, bleach and straws to make different backgrounds. Here are a few I wanted to share.
The two on the right were created using the TH distress marker spritzer tool to blow the ink.
And this is what I did with them, stamped in bleach and black versa fine ink.
Stamping with TH and Paper Bag Studio images, colour removed from the eye with bleach.
Love how the bleach showed on some of the purple splodges. Went backin with the bleach and removed the colour off the face and hands.
Another couple of background mop ups with the brusho.
The left is a tag I painted with silks last weekend, but I wanted to find out how they stamped on, and they are fabulous. Other 2 are brusho and bleach backgrounds.
And again I went back in and took some colour from her eyes and legs.
And finally for this post, the background for the tags middle and left are created from the excess paint from the deli papers and simply stamped with LP & TH images. Tag on the right is some sort of bondaweb with a fabric texture as I painted brusho onto it and ironed it onto a tag. The ink looks dull as it soaked into the fabric.
This is the tag once it was ironed on.
And I'm sure you'll be pleased to know, that's it for today.
