Weeeeee ... Spanish Blood

I felt thrown back some 27 years yesterday arvo.

Had a bit of trouble with the garage, e-mailing me after lunch time they cannot find my car keys and paper - WHAT?!
I told them I put them where asked to do and if I can get the car around 3pm.

They found the keys and no, this will take 4-5 days.

Yah. Before, tell that before next time as the next day I need to drive to Wolfsburg!
I'm a woman in these things, I do not know how long replacing a stupid door might take!

Long story short the poor lady who bumped into my car and got the police now has to pay for a replacement vehicle, if really unlucky for 5 days (the ex-customer is willing to pay 20 hours for transition).

So I walked to a Sixt and they had a huge Opel for me. By golly, not where I live!
All men shook their head, "but it's an upgrade - for free!"
They gave me a SEAT León, always wanted to drive one. A Diesel. In white. Huge.

My first car was an Opel Diesel and, oh, my, I drove like it was my very first day in a car.
Put in the first gear, let go of the clutch, "weeeeee". Embarrassing, LOL.

And yikes that thing has some power, very unlike my first car.

Embarrassing, btw... I had to show my driver's license. I really "regret" I didn't get a new one when it was for free, like Ingo did.
I had to give that young fella my old pink one - that look of him, ahhhh.

Well, what can I say.
That car is so much fun, I took the day off tomorrow to visit Bro :-)
The car is paid by her insurance so I don't feel bad about it, either.

Was lucky, got a good place again.

No idea if this is good or bad... the car tells you where you are, which direction you go... the more the car knows the more stupid the driver gets, no?

Do I look forward to drive :-)

Was good I was at the customer again.
Teamleader had someone to share his troubles, his feelings. Girlfriend has only one side of her face moving left. It's so sad and must be very frightening for her. Reading from her lips isn't getting easier, either.

Those Two

I´ve been suggested to simply put Lenovo on German keyboard standard.
Yes, btw, I got my PC back!

But, please, let me show you, it´s not just Z and Y...

This is my dear LENOVO from JB-Hifi Perth... actually Joondalup.

And this is my PC keyboard.

""" is in a different place, as is "?", "/", "*"... See my problem?

I enjoy the difference.
LENOVO will be in use from time to time, just like that as in "we have no thyme in Australia :-)"

Cut Off

So I took my car to the garage today.
Threw the key in the red mailbox and hopefully will have him back tomorrow around 3pm.

This is the "good" side. Left door will be replaced, though it opens and closes perfectly.

"Perth-Polo"?

(Very unprofessional I'm in the pic, too...)

Usually I also have Braunschweig on him as well, just... didn't manage yet and who knows if I will need him anyways...
I feel cut off of quite a lot these days.

Just have a look here:

This used to be a street to park your car when everything else is taken.
Bravo, gone, too. And next Thursday I won't be home before 6, have to drive to Wolfsburg.
Yes, I know, I chose to live here...

Getting my keys btw I found this:

If I was typing on my dear Lenovo not in our kitchen but in the cabin, I could just go outside and take the next #450 to the city of Perth.

Instead... I look at the city of Braunschweig, someone yelling into the TV-camera "Braunschweig, you're on TV!!!!" :-)

Brunswiek Helau!!! Brunswiek Helau!!! Brunswiek Helau!!!

3 hours the Schoduvel aka carnival is on TV.

I visited last year and it's nothing for me, but certainly I have to have it on, being a Braunschweig person, right?
Cut off, kinda, and kinda not.

Time Warp

When I came around the corner and saw these two side by side for a sec I was afraid I'd made a time warp!
Could there be any time worse to go back to than the 80's?
The horrible clothes, the mostly horrible music, all but two teachers were... I won't repeat myself, huh?

Teacher Boehme was my French teacher, a small man who threw his keys onto those who talked privately. Or made them sit in the corner. Thanks to a blabbermouth friend I found myself there often, too.
He would spontaneously tell us to put away all books, picked two pupils who had to go to the chalkboard, board hidden... grammar and vocabulary test for all, old and new stuff.
He was great, second time around I picked him voluntarily - go ahead, call me eager beaver ;-)

The second teacher was Mr. May from Great Britain. Yes, British accent, but he had a rule:
We speak English. No German allowed. You have a missing word? Describe what you mean.
You think the school-material is boring? We buy "Surprising stories" or translate some Rock Songs in the language lab. Tell what we did on holidays etc etc.

Thanks to those two I still speak a wee bit French and reckon' my English ain't that bad, either.
But am I glad we're in 2017. Though... 1999 would be awesome, too!

I Was Wrong :-)

In Quarter Magni I saw a very, very "cool", tough looking guy coming around the corner.
Boy, was I wrong.

Just have a look:

He was carrying his girlfriend's handbag just like that - she wasn't on the phone or anything, either.

Awww, so glad I was wrong :-)

Always make sure you see the whole picture, right?

Free Me...

The other day in our lunch-break we went to the post office in the city and came by this fountain.

We couldn't find any hint, any description and even A, who was born here, had no clue.

I looked it up online, the fountain was designed by Bernd Altenstein, erected October 1981, material bronze.

The title is "Befreiung des Menschen aus starren Bindungen und Normen", "release of mankind from fixedly ties and norms".

Kinda strong, no, sadly they don't give away anything on the motive.

Sorry if I gave you another ear-worm, too ;-)

A Walk In The...

... city.
Sunday I took off for a walk, it became a pic-galore cause... with no people I see so much more. Wanna join? (I split it up, too)

Funny, I even once was in this shop and never realised how strange that is, really, was the door sliding open or was it maybe a very warm October day and the door was open?
Got flowers for SIL when Wee One was born.

The weather wasn't really that nice so...

And those who were there...

Dunno, maybe I'm old, but this makes me look at the face, not at the clothes they want to sell!

Sadly here I found no details about, but well done it is worth a pic anyways, I thought...

Speaking of looking up...

I walked some 14 km, yesterday even 3 more - getting back at it.

Walking to work certainly helps a bit, too :-)

Wild Wild West

Sat we had rolls for lunch.
You can eat that. But I wouldn't recommend...

Actually The Weststadt has a bad reputation and really, you hear a lot of languages like Russian, Turkish and people seem to be a bit... simple.
But once you look it up on Wiki you maybe have to see more of it. Come summer and the bikes are out we'll have a closer look.

The staff at Rewe obviously misses Henry big :-)

I couldn't believe seeing this:

Just like Hackepeter Rödeldraht is a real word!
Outside again I spotted this ... stupid ad:

I must say we do something different...

In the evening we did a lot of cutting...

It sure was worth it and made two meals, too:

Very yummy!

(Workin') At The Car Wash

Yesterday was a truly wonderful day.
We slept in a lille and, as much as Ingo hates driving, we went to the car wash and next to the west!

Thomas Phillips it was.

You could buy this...

... but we didn't.
Amongst other we got this:

Maybe it cheers teamleader up a bit.
I also got some cute dishes made of vegetable fiber, how cool is that?

To avoid a pic-galore I leave it for now.

My calendar today told me I'm egoistic if I want others to live like me.
Well, I'm going for a long walk now.

Thinking of tomorrow doesn't make it better.
I'll read "anything" about testing software. Again.

A job at the car wash would make more sense but I should be careful what to wish for, huh.
Funny how life laughs about me at times. We really were at the car wash.
Lenovo still is my best friend, seems like my PC has died, M will tell me tomorrow.

Contradictions

After work yesterday I went to get Ingo a book (yes, a book! More on that later) - took me two minutes to get there. How.Cool.Is.That?!

On the way I went by this new business...

... and I wondered.

Not that much that people pay for some beauty-treatment (though I know better things to spend my money on), but about this right in front, how do these two go together?

Blew my mind a bit.
(And yes, I'm in the reflection with my bonnet - I still make people smile at me seeing it).

As blew my mind what Bro, who called me at work, told me (thanks so much! Reading all day about how to test software gets sooo boring with time).

Big Niece, who suffers Diabetes 1 wanted to play at her friend's place. First time since being diagnosed.
Bro explained to the mother of the kid how Niece's device works.
To check it from time to time.
If it shows below 40... give her either grape-sugar or a glass of apple juice or a lille piece of chocolate.

What.Can.I.Say.

Niece was at 45, that mother gave her grape-sugar and a glass of apple juice and a lot of chocolate.

Niece went up to over 300, they had to check on her hourly over the night.

Is it really too hard to differ either from and???
For a mother? Maybe she's (more than) a tad dull, too.

To top it all the kindy teacher who learned how to supervise Niece is signed sick, so the parents only can work half-days. A lot of stress.
In two weeks the results from the clinic will show if Wee One has it, too.
Please keep fingers and toes crossed for no. At age two it's just too hard - to all of them.

Why does nature do this. They all live healthy. Life is full of contradictions.
I feel so sorry and can not help.

Sadly they're involved in many things the next two weekends. I really wonder when I can see them again.
