Some Watchies In The Art Room

Yuck, huh - so much snow. This is Küchenstraße/Fallersleber, Braunschweig.
And since we have the mat in front our living room door, for Ingo - music is art, too, yes?:

Since one day his Dad asked Ingo to describe how he does his life (just replace "did" with "do"):

Without music life would be a mistake:

Here sadly only the link.... Legend. Many join! (You might turn on the sound on FB, standard is off, it´s in the video top right on the left side - do not ask me...).

Really like Freddie!!!! Shivers down my spine! Or... is it real? Either way. To Freddie!!!!
Windows open, people in cafés join.

Our host asked me to link T-Day, so here it is

The internet series

"These mathematicians changed the world

 Aristotle (384–322 BC)

Aristotle was a great scholar with extensive knowledge in various fields, including mathematics. In his treatises, he combined mathematics and philosophy."

Other... Henry 🦁 is taking over for me today for Nicole´s Sunday in the Art Room SITAR:

I bet AI could´ve put the brush between the paw instead of giving Henry a hand but other I like the outcome. Have a happy Sunday.

Murals On The Run

I count this wall as mural.
Right?
And the man there... that is Ingo.
I always have to be QUICK!!!! (Glad my cam broke and I got a new one that IS indeed quick)!

A real mural  on the way with meeting our host Sami:

As you can guess I found no sign of the artist in this "tempo".
Which is sad as in Perth you usually find the names (in Germany it is not legal other you go through .... blablabla.)
But it is nice, huh?

Henry 🦁

Yes, Henry, I still need to visit you "in person lion"!

Expect MANY more murals from Perth & Suburbs!
They are all so beautiful!
Sami might give you the names of the artists as mostly I had Ingo on my back or shot from friend´s cars...

Blame the TIME.
5+ weeks is NOT enough!!!!

I still can´t believe we went from "cool" 38C/100F to 2C/35F.
I feel cold. And I miss you all!!!!
I miss you all.
Let´s hope it´s not another 5 years.
(Our dear host was here visiting inbetween with Hubby and Daughter, but still...)

P.S. Our host could help:
Her name is J.D. Penangke, (real name Jade Dolman) a young Aboriginal artist. Her mother is Narelda Jacobs, a Channel 10 Perth, newsreader.

Some Oddity

I was inspired by Elizabeth´s post today and found this gem to share with you.
Astronaut Chris Hadfield explains how (and why) he did the cover of David Bowie´s Space Oddity, very interesting, thank you, Elizabeth, for the inspiration!

Isn´t this plain amazing, interesting and fun?
Love how he refers to Michelangelo even!

Here is another interesting one:

And now here the song itself, enjoy!

Henry 🦁

You saw me in first pic when I went into "space" for real, see more here, if you like...

And yes, two posts again today, "sorry", the bunny hopped faster...

Children In Charge

Sweets from InnoTrans 2022 Berlin.

Here is the translation of the song by Herbert Grönemeyer, "Kinder an die Macht":

"The armies from gummy bears
The tanks from marzipan
Wars are eaten up
Simple plan
Childlike genius

There is no good
There is no evil
There is no black
There is no white
There are gaps between teeth
Instead of suppressing
There's strawberry ice cream for life
Always a surprise

Put the kids in charge
They don't calculate
What they do
The world belongs in children's hands
Put an end to gloom
We'll be laughed into the ground
Children to power.
They are the true anarchists
They love chaos and clean up
Know no rights
No duties
Still unbowed power
Massive
Impetuous pride" ...

Henry 🦁´s kids:

Well, the song is from 1986 - maybe today´s kids should not rule?
Most are slaves of "wrong media"... But back then it was a good idea. To (good!) kids!
Yes, two posts again.
Shy people please scroll down!

T STands For... To Do

Wow. Can you believe it´s February already?!
The Elefant, the one who is as old as Die Maus, he celebrates.

And there is a reason to celebrate, well, if not here, but...

2019 we celebrated Chinese New Year, see here (I nearly dropped my cam!).
Twice actually, with Sami and Grace, too, in Northbridge, it was fun, see here, if you like.
One day... we will travel and meet again.
We have soooo many Chinese students, I wonder why we don´t have a parade here... oh. Corinna...  but sadly we never celebrate it, despite you find Chinese food everywhere here.

The journal...

Monday: our W knocked to check on me.
He was so sad, cannot get over having lost his wife.
Asked him if his kids care.
No.
How sad is this, they live around the corner.

So I showed him my new work-place and he smiled, told him how people call me these days, oh, boy. Another grin.
If little, it is good, huh.

At the grocery I waited in line like FOR-EVER after I waited at the bakery the same as the woman could not decide.
I order the bread at 06:38 a.m. and have the correct money at hand, arrrrgh...

Tuesday: Work, oh. Hell. I´m a newbie and have to correct documents that are so..."arrrrgh"!
BUT!!!  I found my second camera!!!
Had put it in front of the microwave, luckily the drawer underneath was open.
Walking by I opened the door for my microwave-tiger and the cam must´ve fallen in there!!!
D'ooooooh. Was I happy when I  - after searching everywhere - found it in there!

The whole main Braunschweig Fire Brigade, which is just around the corner, was out and about when I wanted to get tomatoes for Ingo, it was scary. No idea what was up, they let us pass. Scary.
Training, two sessions.

Wednesday: Late Birthday mail!
And a very fast talking - and working - customer from South Africa. We were very (!) productive AND had fun! Nice guy.
And then from another  a document from hell again.
Well. I do understand those people have other things on their minds and can do stuff I can not, so I take it as it comes.
Two training sessions, I´m getting back to my old life!!!

I really enjoy cooking, even if I work and have to prepare before.
I know what´s in there and some products really are local.
As Dr. Vitali Klitschko just said: "If you wanna make it good, do it yourself!".
Weee. He was here in Germany to ask for help. I hope Putin just threatens and we don´t have another war.
Seeing all the tanks and war ships threating the Ukraine sure was a scary sight.

And local?
I just hear of the drama from Bro.
People go to him cause they know he does an excellent job in refracturing, then buy their glasses online, aka somewhere else.

Thursday: I spent a whole day with another document from hell, had meetings, to-do-lists, people asking, telling me, oh, can you "quickly" do this, saying, oh, why did you not... we need this... Admin and Manager?! I am the lille girl for plain everything.

P helped again BIG and I had no idea how. I checked the hell-document out, which actually means others have but reading-options, yet, suddenly problems were solved! I thought I´m going slightly mad!

A master magician she is.
We talked, too, and she told me to not take it all too close, no one will be happy then.

It´s such a different world to my old working world where I was more or less my own tiny boss...

After I did two more training-sessions. Sport really does one good.

Friday: We´re all stressed by now.
Certainly, how else could it be, I ended up in the biggest project they have - Emmi, P´s sweet, black cat, always wants to join us and when P said, "Emmi, give love"  she purred so loud, I could hear it. So sweet.
And Ingo´s flowers I always take from my home- to my work PC, they make me happy, too. Plus sport.

Ingo got a "Schnitzel-Street" and made some yummy Cordon-Bleu:

And since this is for Elizabeth´s T stands for Tuesday:

Oh. @Bertiebo.... looks like another face? Pinoccio?! Let me know if you like to get the pic without my blabla...
Boy, it´s cold. Well, it´s...

Our pharmacy choose this castle for the month.

Henry 🦁 feels royal and like celebrating a New (Chinese) Year - to his Cousin, it´s the Year of the TIGER!:

To a good one!
And to Survivors - I hope I keep the job!

Voulez Vouz....?

(In my defense... I was just born and hence you see... my parents did... "Naughty" title, I know... 🤣)
Only the other day I deleted a draft cause I considered it irrelevant.
I did some cleaning and with the BOSE listened to ABBA. And realized how much pressure there was and how it shows in their songs.

Also one thing that keeps me thinking... How is it like for native English speakers?

I can listen to English-based music, but if I don´t want to I can just hear.

German music drives me nuts cause I cannot not listen.
And too often it´s stupid nonesense.
How do you cope - most music is in English after all.

Can you "overhear" it?

Yesterday... a huge docu on ABBA!
And despite all the stress and also negativity...

My Dad hated modern music, but when Mum and I took off in the BMW ABBA it was.
Certainly back then I didn´t speak English, I just enjoyed the music.

On Saturday nights there was ...

We saw it here:

(We were so poor we had to share a chair, obviously 🤣 )

Oh, Dad really did hate that show, LOL.
He was outnumbered by Mum and me, though.

It was an overly long docu, but very interesting.

And now they plan to come back.
Well, as avatars, but cool idea.

Were or are you a fan?
What is your fav song?

I cannot decide for one but the 70´s (for me at least) were wonderful times.

Henry 🦁

Free and happy for most!
That´s how I remember it, at least.

Funny btw. Today last year at 11:00 a.m. I had the first talk with my "new" company. On 11.11. at 11 ò clock.
That´s when... "fun" times ... carnival starts  and I answered the invitation for fun with "helau".
Turned out J and I both hate carnival and we both came home from a long holiday that very same day and had to drag our luggage through rain and all the weird drunk people cause due to the "celebrations" public transport ended at the castle.

ADDENDUM!!!! November 22nd I´ll start at Siemens, I just learned!!! Oh boy-oh-boy-oh-boy!!!!

ADDENDUM #2!!!! My Bro just pointed out:  That´s 11 days!!!
And that women are the better men. (I worked with men for 17 years and now it´s women-based).

Addendum #3... my T hopes job won´t start 22:22!
That´s 10:22 p.m. - and a joke, of course.

Coffee Is Ready - By Myself

If you wanna hear some Austrian song...

Ingo once turned it on loud to to let me know, well, coffee is ready.
I had to listen twice, that accent.... meeep?

He uses words like "zärtlich" but pronounces it so... as in

"is det nich ungloblich zärtliiich"  (Austrian)
"ist das nicht unglaublich zärtlich" (German)

... it means "affectionate", "klingt das nich ongloblich lieb" ??? - Yes, that is lovely. Once, you get it.
The rest I had to listen three times to - I would´ve been thankful for subtitles!!

But I got the message... coffee is ready - and made with love 🥰

I have relatives in Switzerland. Jooo. Difficult, if they speak fast. Haven´t sadly met them in ages...

"Ongloblich".
And we are called as#holes cause we speak "pure" German in Lower Saxony.
Hey, we grow up with that!

Ingo sneaked in this...

And milk.

Crazy enough, the day I thought of this song was a day after (I had no idea) was "the day of coffee".
Scary, huh?

Henry 🦁

Sees how life goes down the drain.

Well, first pic Henry, serving the coffee.
Life would be if next pic would be real.

I´m no worth without work.
It hurts so much.
Coffee anyone ....

Was to snuggle up, but there was no one there.
I´m worthless.

Freddie´s "G" & Good Music

Not my style, I only took a pic.

And on the balcony?

She ripped it all out!!! And... these, that made babies...

I won´t bug you with this sad song but... cross your fingers we´ll have...

Strawberry-fields forever, and King Frog... you´ll have to wait till next summer...
Can you believe the original ones were collected by my Mum (me helping, of course) in 1974?!
And that my Bro was so "dumb" to let his friend get rid of the ones in our family´s garden?!

Am I glad I "rescued" some before this happened.

Freddie (From the book Freddie Mercury A to Z):

Henry 🦁

Bet he can sing after a few sips.
