"Have
a good flight, little BS-Lion from Bültenweg!", says the title in youtube-video below with BS
certainly standing for "Braunschweig". Every number plate here starts
with "BS", too.
And who says German is complicated, we just use two
words, "Guten Flug".
Now you can see Henry 🦁 really was in Stratosphere, I finally found the video.
The kids explain the balloon is filled with 2500 l helium attached to a box with instruments that measure radioactive radiation.
They added a parachute. 2 cams (one view from the cam to earth, one to Henry and the background) and a tracker are in the box.
The balloon goes upwards with 5m/sec and at around 30 (not 40) km it explodes. That´s when it has a diameter of 12 m. Down it goes via parachute, see Henry tumbling, his mane in the wind...!
Thanks everyone for joining him on his little adventure from the City of Henry the Lion!
A Welcome-home parade was suggested (thank you, Bill! Great idea 🧡 and Henry is so proud he even made it into the dream of one of you, boy, he smiles big, Elizabeth!)

Great project
Yes, they sure had fun learning.
That was fun to watch.. Henry had such a big adventure!
P.s. Iris you said you just want something different, that is what #45 voters said, they just wanted something different, and look what they got 😱
...studying science, what a wonderful thing!!!
Ausgezeichnet! That was wicked cool! Henry had a great day for a flight soaring over the countryside. I'm glad he came back safe and sound.
Grace, I don´t want a different like that, of course 😮
But she "leads" since 15 years, and more and more people get disappointed and frustrated. She does not think things through, does not admit failures and just keeps on going the way she did. How can it be that people, who worked all their lives here now need to collect other people´s bottles to make extra-money whilst financial refugees can take public transport for free. Just an example...

Tom, and with fun!
CJ :-) That´s what in German Montgomery Burns (The Simpsons) says, Ausgezeichnet!" 🤣
Thank you for making us part of Henry's stratospheric adventure! Loved it! Glad to see him back safe on ground.
I love this whole Henry in space thing. (And thank you to Ingo for sending me the video link the other day.) Teddy, on the other, said he thinks this falls under the category of cruelty to animals. ;-)
magiceye, you´re welcome, thanks for joining him!
____
Anne :-) I read from this that Teddy is afraid of heights - I am, too!
Ingo says you´re welcome.
Really a great project and a way to learn science. Love it.
I finally found out why Henry was in space. Wish I'd known the story sooner. That was a GREAT project for those young people. I'm totally impressed. BTW, I still like my dream of Henry in the corn maze (grin). Glad he's home safe and sound, now, dear.
Nicole, I agree and hope my Nieces will learn this creative way, too. We didn´t back then...
____
Elizabeth, I´m sorry I really found this video only the other day - reckon people asked for it?
So nice you still have that dream, Henry feels so proud and smiles big, sending you and Bleubeard hugs!
That was a great video and a wonderful learning event for those kids. Henry was brave to go on that trip where no lion has ever been. He's a trail blazer. Thanks for sharing this, it was GREAT!
Well, Henry had quite a journey. Big party and parade to come...
How cool is that. My school did something similar, but no Henry. It would have been better with Henry I think!
That is so wonderful!
Bill, you´re very welcome!
____
gigi, his old friend will come to congratulate!
____
Erika, my school never did anything cool, haha, that´s a rhyme at least.
What a journey!
An adventure!
I loved the video-thank you
I am glad to hear when school have hand on learning.
I loved the video, thank you so much. I wish we had done stuff like this when I was in school. We knew about weather balloons, but only scientists did things like this back then.
Kathy, you´re welcome.
____
Dora, yes, it´s a joy to see.
____
River, yes, same here... glad teachers try something new and fun these days!
I hope Henry had a soft landing!
Jeanie, he did :-)
