Tuesday I made my way to my family in Seesen, or the village nearby.
Looked the tram up on the Braunschweig Bahn website, as usual, #2 it says goes via main train station.
I hopped in.
All as usual. Until.... that darn thing keeps driving on straight, not left to the main train station.... PANIC!!!! If I have to run I miss the train!
Luckily this guy, looking a tad tough but wearing a Henry turned out to be friendly and knew what to, so, oh boy!
The train gave a different destination on the panel. Hmmm. Right one? I asked a lady, she "assumed" yes. I thought so, too and went inside. Another woman came in... "does this train go to Seesen?" - I said, "I very much hope so!" and another guy, "yes 😊", phew!
The lady took the place opposite me, a muslima of another kind. No headscarf, telling me she kicked out her husband, and the doc she goes is "sooo hot". But, to Mecca she goes. Times are a changing!
As expected my Brother tortured me.
Optometrist-glasses on he kept and kept and kept changing and asking "better or worse?" - and not just letters and numbers, noooo. circles with dots and all that whole program.
Reckon it was a check on the instruments as as siblings we click and I can answer fast - he said:
"Finally someone who decides quickly!!"
I kept the old glasses as it ain´t that worse so far, but have a new frame.
Then off to get Wee One. Or... the younger Niece?
Wee One (nearly 5) is not wee anymore - loud, and honestly, if she didn´t look like my Brother and myself I might assume Ingo is the Father.
How can such a small body - still and again - produce SO.MUCH.NOISE?! She is LOUD.
But she is still wee. She grabbed my hand all the time, but expected me to hold it tight, why is that, she just laid her hand in mine without grabbing tight herself, parents, explain?
And time JUST WITH ME - alone!!!! , she wanted. No Daddy, no big Sis!
And "the Big Sis"... always understanding.
With rolling eyes, of course.
They showed me the new house and the kids ran their energy off:
Big Niece is so mature (reckon due to dealing with diabetis 1), she gets frustrated often, though - I could help saying, "yes, that´s being the big Sis", or, when Wee One misbehaves and gets everything I point to my Bro and say, "guess how it was like back then" and she laughs again.
Big One was brought to her sports place by Daddy and Wee One finally had time just with (a very stressed) me.
You cannot leave me alone with a child!!!
She grabbed a glass and I thought she wants sweets again, asked me to open it - STRESS! Can I allow her to have even MORE sweets?!
It WAS indeed sweet - without the "s", it was a jar from their last holiday and she picked the best she could to take home for me:
What a dumb Auntie am I?!
She wanted to come with us to the train station in Seesen and even though she became bored to the brim as the train was again late she gave me felt 100 air-kisses for good-bye 🧡💛💚
It was horrible again to travel with the mask on, I was soooo tired and cold when I was finally home (having taken tram #1!).
Divers and Sundry had this bitter sweet comedy, have a look here. What has this to do with this post?
Whilst my SIL was working 50 km away my Brother, as often, took care of the kids. Times luckily became a changing in this sector (I don´t think she beats him up 😉).
Seesen. Huh. No Henry for that place? Ha, today I give you two:
Henry has a Sibling there!
P.S. Blogger again. Today I´m actually with Tom´s Signs 2, but blogger had another opinion.
