Let´s play Opitz

That´s what the Braunschweig kids said for "let´s play cops and robbers".

We didn´t get a detective story yesterday on murder on the Oker.
We got the real thing.

Friedrich Opitz comitted detectable 122 severe crimes in the 1920´s. 1937 they got him. He was mean. Ugly from the inside, he was very clever. And sick. He "wrote" forensic science. But first not in Germany. The case was kept calm. Translated to French and English to help others in Europe learn about/from him. We had Hitler, only after that the case was translated to German.
And then the kids played Opitz.

It was kinda surreal to sit in that raft with darkness falling in and listening to such a story.
It certainly did start raining and we came to a halt under one of the bridges. Certainly under that one which is due to be repaired!

It was interesting, odd and fun.

I didn´t drive back home the same way I had come, which was through the park right beside the Oker.
I cycled through the lighted city!

Today we will drive back there - it´s Magnifest (German) again, the annual festival in the Magni-Quarter!

YUMMY food is due to come! And maybe another grain of rice, if the rice-lady is there again and if we come up with an idea of what we want to have on the grain.

Life is good.
:-)
