The mornings are nearly dark now when I drive to work, so sad.
So, some last rising sun shots….
Just a few days/a week ago or two:
I so miss summer already, 12C in the morning, 19-21 highest temps today - in the supposedly hottest month of the year.
At least it´s still green, though, we´re not totally lost yet!
Saturday we went to Poco and guess I found a xmas-pressie for little Niece – let´s see which one she wants:
Or
If she liked our place/bedroom (you need to scroll down a bit) she´d go for the first :-)
But actually I think she doesn´t remember our bedroom.
Later on the way to the city I saw these guys who brought their camping chairs to the park.
Looked funny.
And wow, what a car!
Speaking of cars... the red nose... my car - the black one... a dream
(I´d be a nightmare to other BMW-drivers, though, not going over 100 km/h if I don´t have to ;-)...):
Dad taught me how to drive our manual BMW when I was 14 (and I made use of that, alone, right away) and Bro said when he sells his Volvo he´ll buy me a used Z3 (that was pre-Daughter ;-)...)
One can still admire, right?
Ingo met Batman in town :-)
And I ran into Homer Simpson and Bart, well kinda.
Guess Homer is my real-life-size here, boy, you need to be a big fan and have space, the whole Simpsons-family was in that store in this size.
Still have to grin thinking of how lost boss looked liked when I said "angrily" to TL (team-leader) at a meeting getting some soup, "das heißt Suppe!!!!" (this is called "soup" (not "soupé", as the French waiter in the Simpson´s-episode pronounced)!
At Schadt´s we shared a Schnitzel in the evening (oh, and did I mention we were at KFC for lunch? I really need to resume my work out!).
We tried to share this meal, that is. This is what the waiter took back inside:
Boy. Really. One person? When do we leave the XXL-stage again? I hate to throw away food.
We´re down to 18-20C, wind is hauling, doors slammed like crazy in the offices today. Did autumn arrive?
Let´s hope it´s just a break that summer takes!
And let´s hope I remember to take the route through Wolfsburg cause otherwise...
Pic from last Friday. Two construction sites one right after the other, ending planned: November, bu-huu.
Took me one hour to get home :-(
A final from FB:
"Funny. At the lake we met a - we call those people "early retirees", you call them "invalidity pensioners". He just called me on the cellphone.
For info and also, I guess, just for a chat.
He speaks Hamburg dialect still, after being here for way over 30 years.
And after just a few minutes I fell back into it, too, having spent heaps of holidays as a kid in Hamburg region.
Felt like talking to one of my uncles (I sadly have no contact to anymore since Mum and Omi are gone).
Language... what a weird thing.
How it can comfort you (or me at least)."
Big hopes summer comes back!
