Ban On Driving
I (again) don´t understand it anymore.
4 year old diesel-cars can be banned from being driven in great parts of (inner?) cities here.
What is the consequence?
They have to drive AROUND their destination which... certainly... right? ... makes them do MORE kilometers.
Where is there a benefit for nature?
Who decides such stupid.
What about China?
What about India.... I could go on and on.
Is there the same stupid in your place?
I see that you have to make a start but not a stupid one!!!
Go to the big countries and act there (is my opinion).
My very first car was a diesel, btw, too. Back then these cars were sponsored because you don´t need so much fuel.
(Pic... Bro and I waaaayyyy back then - in days where women did the driving, LOL)
How is it like in your place?

We have LOADS of stupid in the U.S. -- starting with our president and congress and working down to local levels in every way! You are not alone!
LOL, just bought the book "Fear"... huhhhhh. Not that Merkel is any better, though!!!
Lying and stupid must be a must these days for presidents!
Not that many diesel cars here I think, but I know in Portugal the majority are diesel as it's so much cheaper to fill up and the tank goes further...
But so many countries don't agree on climate change starting with the US, and there's so much pollution in countries like India and China because of the amount of industry and so much unregulated stuff....
That´s the point, right? Or, rather plural, THE POINTS!
I think diesel is definitely being phased out here Iris. I've never had a diesel engine but my sister has, at the time they bought it it was supposed to be a better option.. go figure hey!
Well, honestly, I try to figure, Grace.
We´d need someone who really knows, right, not a politian or some too well payed car guy... (VW?)...
Not too many diesel cars here, but they do sell it at the gas stations. I've noticed it has become a more expensive fuel than regular gasoline now which was not always the case.
Really it has even become more expensive than normal gas?!
By golly, the world is going crazy!
You can get diesel in the petrol stations here in the UK but I think diesel cars may eventually be phased out. Perhaps they want us all to drive electric cars !!!
All the best Jan
PS I have now replied to your question on the low carb diabetic blog regarding your niece and the lower carb apple crumble post, hope it helps ...
I personaly am sooo lucky I don´t have a car no more!
And the electrical ones.... you don´t get that far (yet) and there are not enough stations here to "refill" the car, either!
Oh, lucky me found some missed posts by looking for your answer to my Niece :-)
