Club samples...

It was our craft club meeting last night and our projects were a JOY fold card and   iris folding using paper and ribbon.. My iris folding cards I've lent to a friend so can only show you my JOY card samples at the moment.

My first card was made using Stampin Up Tea Shoppe stamp set and also using scraps of paper as these cards were only small.

This is a printed image off a CD I have called Water Colour Memories and has some wonderful images on it.  The Anchor and ships wheel are dies.
.
Just love this little house mouse stamps...I've used glossy accent on the water and the little leaves are from a die set.  Papers again scraps from S.U

I know I have used this little Penny Black stamp before but just love him.
More scraps of paper used from S.U. the paw prints ribbon I've had for ages...

The weather is still glorious and hope it stays for the weekend as  my Daughter and youngest granddaughter are doing the RACE FOR LIFE in Vivary Park Taunton on Sunday and hopefully I will be able to share some photographs with you on Monday...

Craft Night...

At Craft Club last night we did one project which was making a box card and a box to put it in...here are some of my samples...

For this card box I've used the M-Bossabilities Folder on the front and a Martha Stewart border punch...the paper and images are from the Heartfelt Asters Collection....for the inside I have used a Spellbinders rectangle frame die and a Cheery Lynn lacey border die around the edge of the frame, 3D  some  of the beautiful Aster flowers and added a Martha Stewart butterfly.

For the front of my Wedding card I've used Memory Box Classic  Alphabet dies and the Creative Expressions Heart Lattie die, and Memory Box hanging hearts.
For the inside a Cheery Lynne Border die,  Spellbinder Frame, Cheery Lynne Rose Leaf Flourish die and added Roses. The large tag die in left is a Sizzix die.

For the front of this card I've used one of the gorgeous LOTV images, just added glitter, Cheery Lynn swirl die and Joy daisy die flowers.
Martha Stewart border die, and the Spellbinders Lattice die...
The inside of the box I have left plain so you could pop some chocolates or a little gift inside.

My last card is another LOTV image...Front of card which for some reason has turned itself around when uploding...  Lattice Embossing folders, Marianne Wedding ring die and a bought Wedding sentiment.
Inside, Spellbinders A2 Filigree delight frame, ovals, and the rose leaf die...around the frame I've used one of the Stampin up border punches.

These box cards are so easy to make, they take a bit of prepping but well worth the end result....

Thanks for looking...

Double Dutch project

This was the other project we did at craft club a Double Dutch card.
Not easy to photograph but the card is made up of two bits of card the bottom piece being a small gatefold, and the top of the other piece of card is folded down the card is then closed by using ribbon or can be left open.
I've used the SU Young Vermillion stamp and SU papers on my bird card.

I used one of the 3D stickers from the Valentines sheet but made it into a Get Well card...papers also from 'Me to You' paper pack, and  have also used the SU tab punch so that I can put ribbon around the card to keep the gatefold closed.
My last sample to show you is the fabulous little Penny Black stamp and have used S.U. papers.... Sorry for the rubbish photos...
It's now time to make a start on next months projects....

Hope you are having a great weekend...

Club night...Brick wall technique

At this months Craft club meeting the two projects we did were the Brick Wall technique and also a Double Dutch card...
Here are 3 of my samples for the brick wall technique.

stamp used is for this card is an old PSX one
it has no name on it but to me its a ragged tulip.
Also used a couple of small stamps for the background.

Again another old stamp this time from
                             Inkadinkadoo and an embossing folder
This is one of my favourite Stampin Up stamp
sets called Elements of Style and have used the Tessatia die and   a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.
Some of our ladies used actual photographs for this technique and they look great .  Will post some sample cards tomorrow of the Double Dutch card.

Well the little 'Grandies' all went home last night so today is tidy up day and changing beds!  We love having them to stay but it is hard work at times and you do forget that you are getting older!   We had a fun time as we baked biscuits, played darts played with the WI machine, did puzzles and of course a little bit of time in the craft room...
Off to make 4 commission cards now and the hope to catch up with your all lovely blogs....

Club night....

Its was out monthly craft club meeting last night so I have spent to week doing samples...we did 2 projets paper piecing and stamping onto  "2 square Stampboard tiles, colouring and then using UTEE embossing powder on the top.  Unfortunately I couldn't find my stampboard so had to use Mountboard which worked perfectly well
Here are just 3 of my sample cards that I made.  As I have said before we have to keep our projects simple as we only have 2 1/2  hours and that includes a tea break.  The girls made made some gorgeous cards last night.
Stamps I used are:
My first card is a Penny Black stamp called 'letter & Daisy'.
I used Hobby Art daisy for my 2nd card
The last card is also Penny black called 'Enchanted Orchid.

Thanks for looking....

Masking.....

Couple of sample cards from our masking project at club last night, on this card I have used the Stampin Up motor bike and also a tree from 'Lovely as a Tree set. Backing paper is from S.U.

This little angel stamp from Judikins I have had for quite a few years, with her I just made a choir of angels by masking... Stampin Up backing paper, cuttlebug embossing folder.
Our ladies did really well last night, we only have 2 1/2 hours in which to do two projects and halfway through we always stop for a cuppa.... If anyone is interestered in joining us we meet on 2nd Wednesday of every month in East Coker Village Hall, Somerset, 7- 9.30-am,  you can email me or just turn up, its £3.50 per session we provide everything but might ask you to bring in the odd thing i.e. this month is was stamps for masking.

Thanks for looking...

club Night....

                                                                 Spinner Card

It was our Club night last night as were certainly kept our ladies busy...they made a spinner card and also a side step dresser card which you can do so much with.   We had lots of samples for the girls to look at but thought you might like to see just a couple of my cards.
The girls all made the same spinner card using a Penny Black image.
We had a great selection of side stepper cards and two of the samples I made for men, one being the tie card and the red one could be for a mechanic etc but there ate lots of ideas you could do for men.
We have had quite a few new ladies join us which is lovely and although it was very cold last night about 21 ladies braved the cold and came to craft....thats dedication for you!  we crafters are tough..LOl..lOl...

Next month we are stamping on Candles and also doing a parchment project.
Off to do a pile of ironing now but hope to get back in the craft room later this afternoon.
Keep warm where ever you are....
