Organized Craft Day 25th March...and craft club..

My friend Jill Lackford has has kindly offered to do a crafting day for us....it will be held in East Coker Village Hall, nr Yeovil Somerset... its not only open to our craft club members but to anyone....All details are on the flyer if theres anyone who is  interested in coming please either contact me (email on side bar) or Jill, her contact details are on the flyer also..

Craft Club...

It was our crafty Bunch meeting on Wednesday and I did a small demonstration using the SU woodland embossing folder and a couple of tree stamps, you ink up your embossing folder then stamp on your tree stamp before putting it through the Bigshot... (you can find lots of techniques on Utube)  the girls then all had a go......such a quick and easy technique to do especially if you want to make your Christmas cards in batches!......also changing the colours of the tress and card it makes a lovely masculine card...

Hope your are all managing to keep safe and warm in this cold weather..
have a lovely weekend..

December craft night.......

Sorry for the lack of posts this week but its been a busy week with the grandchildren's Nativity plays we've seen two this week....dont they just bring a lump in your throat?

It was out last Crafty Bunch meeting of the year and the girls made this lovely Christmas tree using rolled wrapping paper and popped onto an embossed background, its much better in real life as the camera didn't like the shiny papers.  Afterwards we tucked into some lovely food and a Christmas quiz...hopefully all the ladies enjoyed it.
Its thinking caps on now for projects to do in 2015.

I've at last finished all my Christmas cards so hopefully I can have a bit of 'me' time in the craft room....

November Craft Club....

Sorry for the lack of blogging but have been busy with craft club samples a craft fair and we also managed to get away for a few days..
For this months club the girls did 3 projects the first one was this Snowglobe where we used the Tattered Lace Christmas dies that came with one of their magazines...the little reindeer is one from a set from Obession Impression dies.

Our second project was a card with a little gift wallet inside...the was a digit one, and the holly leaves Sue Wilsons Holly branch.....
Inside we made a little gift wallet using the Stampin Up Gift card Envelope & trims thinlet dies...
We ended the evening by making this big snowflake..from 6 x 4" squares....we used plain white paper for our sample but these look gorgeous made from designer paper...

Sorry my photo's are brilliant but the weather yesterday was awfal and it was so dark....today though we have sunshine..

I will try and get round to visiting your blog to see what you've been up to while I've been AWOL...

Hope you have a good weekend...

Crafty Bunch Craft night.........

We finally managed to have our Crafty Bunch meeting last night its the first time we've met up this year since all the floods.

Our two projects were a Criss Cross card and Men's cards, here are a few of my samples:

I used Pion Design papers for this card....
Heartfelt Creations paper and dies, plus Stampin Up punch for the borders.

On this card I cut the fronts of the card the wrong way but instead of throwing it in the bin decided as the card actually stood up to leave it....Spellbinders dies on the front and a pre coloured image in the middle of the card..
The Vintage image on this card I found on the internet...isn't she gorgeous...the papers are old K&Co ones and the dies are Spellbinders.

The girls had this mans shirt project that they could also make, which is so quick to do...if you go onto Jill Lackfords blog, Jills Quills you will see a lovely colour selection of mens shirt  cards...

We did a lot of men's sample cards using sets of Stampin Up stamps that we have in our library box....most of my samples you have seen before but I did make this quick card yesterday morning from scraps of images using Stampin UP 'Wetlands Set'......stamped the reeds on the coloured card with Versamark, used a Stampin Up border punch....
The girls also stamped images so that they could take them home to make to colour and make cards with.  I think we all stuggle with mens cards but hopefully get gave our ladies a few ideas...

Its a very cold and foggy morning down in Somerset with no signs of clearing at the moment...but hopefully the sun will shine through at some point..

Its tidy up time in the craft room now ready to start again.
