40th Birthday...

Another masculine card this time a commissioned 40th....I just love the Hunky-dory pre printed images for men...made a small map book and added as an embellishment...stuck the 40th onto a squashed bottle top....

We were very lucky during the storm only lots  few ridge tiles which came down with such force a couple were stuck in the lawn like arrows....thankfully they were from the back of the house and not on the main roof....hopefully being replaced next week...weather permitting...
Hopefully you were all safe and didn't have much damage during the awful winds..
It's a bit windy here today and raining...best place in your craft room..

thanks for stopping by

Masculine card..

This is a card I recently made for my friends husband...I've used a Hunkydory image, these are great for men's cards as we all know men are so difficult to make for ...  just added a couple of embellishments and some embossed card.

Hope you are all managing to keep yourselves busy I know its hard for a lot people, so thankful we have hobbies and I've certainly got enough stash to keep me going.

Its quite cold here today in Somerset lets hope the sunshine returns soon and we sit  out in the garden again...
that's it from me for today..

Masculine card...

Hunkydory images come in so handy for making a quick card...just added some foliage around the image and popped it on a map background.

How are we are all doing in lock down? Unfortunately I'm one of those who is vulnerable and can't even go out for a walk now....thank goodness we have a garden and the weather has been lovely so at least we can sit outside.  The annoying thing for me is not being able to have my hair cut as I keep my hair short... wonder if I'll end up with a pony tail or plaits??  Knitting is also a hobby of mine so perhaps I could knit us both a couple of hats to hide our unruly mops!

Keep safe my lovely blogging friends and thanks for passing by

Masculine card...

Another quick masculine card using a Hunkydory image....the topper picture is slightly blurred so can't get a better picture...you can't see much of the sprocket background paper perhaps I should have used a bigger card.

Thanks for stopping by

Happy New Year - and taking time out.....

Firstly I would like to wish all my lovely followers a Very Happy and Peaceful New Year.

This is the first and last card I will post this month as I really need to take a month off  to enable me to  have a good clear out of my craft room.
I cannot do that and craft at the same time so apart from those essential cards I need to make I wont be crafting again until February BUT I will still be looking at your blog pages and commenting...
I have over 25 years worth of stamps, dies, papers, punches and lots of other crafting tools and essentials that I have collected,  but the time has come to sort through it all and scale down, I know we all buy things we like it gets put into cupboards and drawers but doesn't get used....     I am so quilty of that espeically DSP.......  apart from all the crafty stuff I also have fabric and wool...

The image above is a Hunkydory one ....

See in you in February....

Masculine card....

I've been AWOL again making the most of this beautiful sunshine...we managed to get in two 1940 weekends...one at the Severn Valley and another at the Black Country Museum which was absolutely brilliant.
This card was scheduled to post last week but didn't for some reason (I expect it was me)!

The image is one from Hunkydory just added a couple of embellishments and the card was done, ....my craft room gets hot in the afternoon so my cards are quite simple ones that I can get made in the morning after the domestic chores!

Thinking of you....

Hello crafty friends ....It's been a while since my last post...we've been away and also I've just been really busy no time for crafting but I needed to made a really quick card for a male neighbour who is very poorly at the moment...a very difficult card to make so I've just kept it very simple using a Hunkydory topper and just added the ivy die to take the plainess off, sorry about the awful photograph but it was a card that needed to be made very quickly and it was something to post of my blog!

I've got a craft fair in a couple of weeks so I must try and make a few more things for that...I'm busy sewing advent calendars at the moment.

I do try a pop along a look at your blogs in the evenings but apologies for my blogging friends who I haven't visited for a while... Once November is over things should quiten down...then I need to make crack on with some Christmas cards...talk about leaving it to the last minute...

Hunkydory garden........

This card should have scheduled last week whilst we were away but someone forgot to 'publish' it so it didn't!

Not a brilliant photograph of this Hunkydory image but it does look mcuh better in the 'flesh'.... the border frame is from Spellninders and I found a little hose pipe and a trowel embellishment in my embellishments box which I popped on...just added some foliage and flowers (just seen that I've forgotten to give the flowers a centre) and my card was finished.

I will try and catch up on your blogs at somepoint over the next couple of days...

Masculine card...

Its a couple of weeks since my last post but I've been unwell and then the hot weather came and it was just too hot in my craft room....but I've made a quick masculine card... the image is one from Hunkydorys Mens pads so just added an embossed background a couple of cog dies and a sentiment and my card was made.

Today is a lovely temperature so I can once again enter my craft room without melting, I know we complain about the weather but I think a lot of people found it just a little bit too hot...

Hopefully I'll try and catch up on some of your blogs over the weekend...

Golf anyone?

Its over two weeks since my last post, my eyes are a lot better but still not completely clear, its made me quite miserable not being able to do much crafting and I've really missed it...

.I've got lots of Hunkydory toppers which I can make up into cards so at least I can do that now. This topper is  one  from the Magnificent Men collection,
I've found a huge box of embellishments that I need to use up and amongst them was this little golf tee and golf ball, shame a didn't have a third one to put on my card as things always look better in 3's..
My photograph isn't brilliant and the wording looks blurred the the actual card is fine its just me!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend...and thanks for dropping by..

Hunkydory Mans card....

It's a couple of weeks since I postesd but the children are still on holiday and we still haven't finished our babysitting duties just yet.

I was lucky enough to be given some lovely Hunkydory images from two different friends thank you Jill and Margaret.  This is one I made from a man's collection and have used it to make a friends birthday card.  Using a vintage worded embossing folder a few sentiments a border, ribbon and its done...you will be seeing a lot more of the gorgeous toppers over the next few week they are so quick to make a card with and I shall be needing more cards for my craft fair in November...

It's drizzling a little bit this morning down here in Somerset but I must say it is nice to have it a bit cooler especially the nights...

Enjoy your weekend ...
