Dainty Flowers & Napkins cards

Last Saturday it was a Coffee and card morning with the lovely Jill Lackford..we made this pretty screen card using SU dainty flowers DSP and some die die cuts, a punch was used on the bottom of the panels which gave a lovely effect.

Another Napkin card which I decoupaged the little birds and made it into a New Home Card...
Another Napkin card...loved the image and it again I could decoupage some of it...Using mod Podge on these cards give you a lovely texture..

Just as a matter of interest, I have found since the update of my Norton security there are 4 blogs that I visit regularly that I am now unable to access from my PC... I get a security alert saying 'Dangerous website'..thankfully 3 of them I can access from my iPad...has anyone else had problems I would be interested to know..

Paper Napkin cards

My lovely crafty friend Sharon presented me with a small carrier bag full of paper Napkins to play with....these are two that I have done and thought they would be good for men....  I just stuck the single layer of napkin onto some sticky back paper (which I bought very cheaply from that well known auction site) then painted a layer of Mod Podge over the top ...added the little die cut chair..
This napkin made a lovely card... I have decoupaged the glass in front and popped in onto pads which doesn't really show up that well in the photograph...

We still have snow on the lawns and on the hillside, out little Cul-de-Sac is like a skating rink..hopefully todays sunshine will melt it all away today.

Have a great weekend whatever you decided to do....

Cheese & wine....

Hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend...we've lots going off in our village....
We've also got a Wine Circle club in the village and any cards I make with wine on sells very quickly when I do my craft fair.... This image I found in my image box and it actually a napkin...mounted onto card covered and  with modge podge....you get a lovely textures using Napkins on anything...glass, wood pottery etc....you just need to strip away the layers and just use the top layer.

Thought you might like to see what our Parish council have done on our small village  green to celebrate the 70th Jubilee.....

This is a little place where we can sit and chat

Well done East Coker..

Club night...Napkin project..

On our club night last Weds one of the projects we did was using napkin/serviettes and making them into cards....we did two different methods one using Mod Podge and the other using cling flim....
For my owl card I used Mod Podge, I used a piece of sticky back paper and stuck my single layer serviette to it then applied one coat of Mod Podge all over....napkins/serviettes make lovely cards and there are some beautiful ones around.
To embellish my owl I used some backing paper from my stash, embossing folder and cut out two leaves from a little die, made some tiny flowers, added a sentiment and you have a lovely card.
For this card I also used Mod Podge, cut 3 stems from my Memory Box Chole die, Stampin Up butterfly stamped onto coloured card then I've painted them with bleach to give to lighter colours......
This card was made using the cling film method....take a piece of card lay it down  add a piece of cling film on the top then place your one layer napkin on top of your cling film and on top of that place a scrap piece of paper, you then get an iron (not steam) we used a travel iron to 'iron' on the top this then melts the cling film and sticks your napkin to your base layer of card....it gives a lovely smooth almost velet like finish...as opposed to the Mod Podge which give a lovely textured feel...heres a UTUBE link Cling and Napkins

I just added a button face, punched a small border with  and added some co-ordinating ribbon....

Will show the other project we did later in the week...

Paper Napkin/Serviette Cards

Some of the ladies from our Patchwork group were intrigued by some cards that I had made using paper Napkins/Serviettes.

They asked whether I could show them how to make them so I'm doing a small workshop with them this week.
As these ladies are needleworkers and not card makers I've
kept the cards very simple but thought you would like to look at some of the samples I have made.

The Napkins/Serviettes are coated with Mod Podge and placed on thin card before using.

Thanks for looking;
