Canasta anyone?....

A commission card I was asked to make was for a man who plays Canasta.....So after scratching my head I remembered I had some paper napkins in my box that had games pieces on it.
Got out the Mod Podge and remembered I had some tiny playing cards that came out of a cracker one Christmas so used those on the Canasta score sheet I was given to use.
I made the pencil from a cocktail stick, rolled in ink and hey presto one pencil.

Tomorrow I'm going to have a go at making some bread following the gorgeous Paul Hollywoods recipe...that man has the most amazing blue eyes......will let you know how it turns out...

Paper Napkin transfer....

Today is our club night and one of the projects we are doing is called Paper Napkin Transfer.  It uses a paper napkin/serviette, paper/card and cling film.
The idea is to tranfer the image of your  paper napkin into a piece of card, we have done this sort of project before at craft club but used Mod Podge which can be very messy and of course you have to let it dry this way its instant.  We have found one of the best cling flims to use is Baco Bio Wrap cling film which is 100% biodegradable.
For this card I have used a squarter of the napkin....backing paper is S.U. and I have stamped it with the sanded image stamp and just added a border along the bottom.  For the sentiment I have used a flattened bottle with and popped a sentiment in the centre.   Go along to UTUBE and see how this method is done...
There are some beautiful napkins around with just patterns on that also make wonderful backgrounds....so go on and give it a try...it's also great fun swapping napkins!
