My 2nd Christmas card!!.....

Follow on Bloglovin

Well I am so pleased with myself I've just made my 2nd Christmas card...the sun is shining and its warm and I just cant get to grips with the 'C' word at the moment..

I've been playing around with masks and embossing them...this one is a Touch Mask called 'Flourishing Heart'.. using Versamark ink pad I patted my mask all over before popping into the Bigshot and embossing it....then I sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and embossed it.
Using SU old olive ink pad I coloured the mask all over and of course the embossed bits resisted the ink.
Dies have used are Sue Wilsons Holly Flourish. Spellbinder Poinsettia (using vellum rather than card and adding glitter), Dainty Dots embosing folder and the sentiment is from Stampin Up 'Greetings of the Season' set...

Another Mask....

I still have my chest infection and have spend the last 2 days back at the doctors as they were very concern about my breathing..they've changed my antibiotics which are making me feel very sick all the time so haven't done any card making for nearly a week...hopefully by the weekend I will feel better.

For some reason Mr Blogger wouldn't let me leave comments on blogs yesterday but he does seem to be behaving himself now!

So I have another of my samples cards to show you using masks, core-dination paper and a sanding block, the image is a really old Penny Black stamp which I have stamped onto kraft card and used Prismacolor pencils. I've used the circle border die from Simon Says and  also a Memory Box die Fremont Crest on the corners....

They are forecast lots of snow for us tomorrow in Somerset but fingers crossed  we dont get too much!!!  Hope you are all keeping warm in the cold weather.

We had a good meeting at craft club last night...thought you might like to see  some more of my sample cards...
Hopefully now I have to play with some of my new crafting goodies...I won some lovely blog candy and other bits that just happened to have fallen through my letter box since Christmas.....

Playing with Masks....

Its our club meeting tomorrow night and one of our projects is different techniques using MASKS and stencils.
Embossing folders and Masks are great for creating backgrounds if you don't have the right papers so for this card I have used a Creative Expressions Mask called 'Large Polks Dots.
I've used and old PSX Motorbike stamp and just added a splash of red on the tank, then punched out some Cogs from the S.U. retired cog punch.
Will show you more samples after club night. Not a great photo as the gold doesn't like being scanned or photographed...

I have got a severe chest infection at the moment so haven't felt much like crafting these last few days, the doctor as  given me some antibioctics and high a dose steroids, the steroids have now kicked in and I feel like I could craft all day and all night I am on such a high...lOl...lOl..

Thanks for dropping by...

Christmas....

Trying to make to odd Christmas card, I've decided that due to postage costs apart from the odd one or two unless my cards can be hand delivered then then most of cards Christmas cards this year will be quite flat so they can go by normal 2nd class postage.

Back to my card...another card using the leaf mask and Sparkle Medium..which I have done on acetate and put the texture side to the card.
Being a glittery card it doesn't need much else on it so just popped a Spellbinders in the corner.
