Christmas Vibes

I received a request to make a Yip Yip from Seasame Street.  The pattern was easy to follow and completed it within a week.  My co-worker is giving it to her friend for Christmas, inside joke.

I got a few more Christmas fabrics to get into the sewing spirit.

I finished a place mat set made for a Christmas gift. I paper pieced the hexagons then put on the red quilting background with green binding.

I also almost have my table running started last year completed with binding.

And of course my fur babies dressed up.

Happy Weekend!

Finishing Projects

As much as I love starting new projects it's always full filling to finish them.  I've wanted to make these snowflake squares for years.  I only made four but they are joined and almost finished the front of a cushion cover.

And speaking of finishing, I've finished my quilt I started in June.  Binding process finished
yesterday with ample binding left over.  I'm happy with how it turned out.

I made this for our niece in mind, I'm sure she'll love the colors.

Last weekend I made my first fabric pumpkin.

Fall is here and I love watching the changes in the trees. Here are a few of my
faves from our neighborhood. Both now are nearly all red leaves.

My girl covered with mini crochet blanket.

Happy Sunday!!!

Welcome Fall

It's officially Fall here and the pumpkins are starting to come out.  I've been going to a few yards sales lately and have found some great craft supplies.  I found a skein of orange yarn which of
course I have started to make pumpkins with.  And one yard sale was a gold mine for
sewing supplies.

The first week of Sept I had off for vacation.  I had been wanting to make this Ultimate
Wallet by So Sew Easy.  There is a PDF pattern as well as her You Tube tutorial.
I made some alterations after to keep my cards in place.

I also started and finished the quilting on this blanket.  Nothing special as far as the quilting
pattern, just stitch in the ditch. Now I just have to do the binding.  Not my favourite process.

I ordered some Halloween fabrics an found this pattern by Fort Worth Fabric Studio and
nearly finished it yesterday.  I just have to finish the binding.

I made a puffier cushion for the Cat bed, I think she likes it.

Happy Weekend all!

Summer Joys

My crocheted rainbow purse or pride purse is complete. I finished sewing the straps on today as it is too hot to do anything outside.  It feels great completing a project originally started so long ago.  First just the granny strip crochet, then the liner and finally the straps.

I completed my first quilt top from a jelly roll I got in the Sew Sampler Box a few
months ago. Now for the next steps, quilt, backing and binding.

I made a few bitsy box pouches from the pattern I bought from Ticklegrass Designs.
Super addictive to make and so cute.

Our garden is coming along, with so much rain it's grown so much daily.

And Hubby and I get out on our bikes as much as we can.  Last night was quite late with
heat, between 8-9 pm.

And of course all the kitties are doing well.

Happy Canada Day!! And weekend to all!
