Another chapter in the ongoing mind-manipulation to get a nation to believe that to surrender is to win. No wonder the Uniparty and all their puppets hate our President who embraces Winning with gusto!
Yeah. I can’t tell you how totally deflated I felt when Brees decided to cave. What a shame. And then the Broncos virtue signaling . . . . a team I idolized in the 80s and who earned and deserved my respect and admiration. Done and done.
The NFL took a massive financial hit a couple years ago, due to their wokeness. They managed to recover after they dumped the idiot backup quarterback and stopped the kneeling during the anthem. But now it appears they haven’t learned their lesson. And they’re doing it while ticket sales are in play, unlike last time when they were already sold. They kept that ticket money, but had to repay for the advertising eyeballs that weren’t watching on tv. It’s going to go far worse for them this time.
This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

Here is what some of the commenters in the Conservative Treehouse had to say about the Denver Broncos and NFL Executives.

Wasting time
Michael Walsh has come out and said it: spending hours watching NFL games is a waste of time. I wasted several hours watching my first full NFL game last night, so I couldn't agree more with Mr. Walsh. I'm completely on board with his advice:
Now let's hope the Broncos do us all a favor and avoid making it to the Super Bowl this season.
Get a life, get a job, or just read a book.

He leaves it on the football field
Sorry folks, I gotta keep giving you Broncos stories today. Here is one from CBS Denver. You may have heard about Denver's supremely talented receiver, Demaryius Thomas. But did you know that his mother and grandmother will be watching today's game from prison?
The two women have never seen Thomas play in person. He was 11 when police burst through the door of their home in Montrose, Ga., and arrested both in 1999. Police allowed Katina Smith to walk her son and his two younger sisters to the school bus one last time.
Now she’s at a minimum-security prison in Florida, sentenced to 20 years. Her mother, Minnie Pearl Thomas, who had two previous drug convictions, received two life sentences with the possibility for parole after 40 years.
Smith could have gotten a lighter sentence by testifying against her mother, but she refused.
They’ll watch Thomas play in his first Super Bowl Sunday, when he will be matched against Seahawks star cornerback Richard Sherman for much of the game.
“I think that drives me more to know that they’re there and they’re watching me,” Thomas said. “I try to go out there and play my best because they’re going to talk about it to the people in the jailhouse.”
Thomas’ father was serving in the Army and stationed in Kuwait when his mother and grandmother were arrested. He went to live with an aunt and uncle, Shirley and James Brown, a Baptist minister who lived six miles away.
Thomas, called “Bay-Bay” by his family, started working as an usher at the church and attending Bible study after track and basketball practices.
“Once I moved in with him, I told him I wanted to do something to stay off the streets and stay out of trouble, so I tried football,” Thomas said. “And it worked out for me.”
“I truly believe his Christian upbringing and sports, playing basketball and football, contributed to him releasing a lot of the anger and anxiety that he had in him,” Brown said. “He left it on the basketball court, on the football field so it didn’t get bottled up in him.”
“The blessing has been just seeing the product of how we took this young man who was lost – well, trying to find his way – and we were able to nurture him and give him what he needed,” said Brown, who will be in the stands Sunday. “When Demaryius was staying with us, I never dreamed that he would be in the Super Bowl. I just wanted to make sure the anger in him didn’t send him down the wrong path like his mama and grand-mama had gone down.”

A Machiavellian reembrace
New Yorker writer Brendan Koerner believes the significant Patriot story is the "the wisdom of Belichick’s Machiavellian reëmbrace of Josh McDaniels." Belichick rehired McDaniels as his offensive coordinator after McDaniels was let go by both Denver and St. Louis. McDaniels knows how to make an offense work. Remember what he did with Tim Tebow in Denver?
However, when the Broncos beat the Patriots with McDaniel at the helm, Josh let his emotions get the best of him after the game, and Belichick noticed.

A short celebration
Yes, the Broncos beat the Chargers to earn the right to play the Patriots in Sunday's AFL Championship game. However, they lost the services of the man who is arguably their best defensive back, Chris Harris, when he was injured in the third quarter of the Chargers game. After he went down, Phillip Rivers caught fire with the San Diego passing game. Harris had a M.R,I, this morning, which confirmed he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to two NFL sources.
I don't know if this is the defensive equivalent to losing Peyton Manning on offense, but it is a very significant loss that Tom Brady, Josh McDaniel and Bill Belichick will surely exploit.
This article in the Denver Post lists some possible ways the Broncos will try to compensate for the loss of Harris.
