"the greatest political conspiracy in modern American history"

In American Greatness, Sebastian Gorka writes in part,
...While many in the MAGA community are still smarting from the Barr Department of Justice’s recent decision not to prosecute corrupt FBI agent Andrew McCabe, they miss the point. The charges in question were related exclusively to his lying to officials over his leaking details to the media about the Clinton email investigation. They have nothing to do with the current, and far, far larger investigation into the origins of the Russia hoax by U.S. Attorney John Durham. No one has been exonerated or had charges dropped against him when it comes to the greatest political conspiracy in modern American history, the use of the FBI, NSA, and CIA to spy on a presidential campaign and White House, Operation Crossfire Hurricane. No one, not McCabe, not Comey, not John Brennan, not Jim Clapper, not Rice, and not Barack Obama.

Lastly and most promising to those who believe in Lady Justice truly being blindfolded, nothing—and I mean nothing—has leaked from the Durham investigation. In fact the only time that Barr’s handpicked team has said anything on record in relation to its work is to correct the sweeping claims made by the Justice Department’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz that there was no detectable political bias at the highest levels of Obama’s Department of Justice and that the rules for predication were followed.

Attorney General William Barr may not like the president tweeting about cases that are sub judice, but he is clearly a man on a mission to clean the Augean Stables that are the post-Obama Department of Justice, and in the most under-reported story of the last four years, his man Durham’s mandate was changed from heading an administration review, to heading a criminal investigation, which means he has found evidence of felonious acts and can (is?) impaneling secret grand juries.

All the above is a start. It comes very late. But it’s a start. The deep state beast is writhing in discomfiture. If God blesses us again and President Trump is reelected this November, it would be nice to have people working for the man chosen by the American voters to lead them and upon whom we don’t have to use lie detectors.

"Absurd from the get-go!"

Victor Davis Hanson writes in part in American Greatness,
...Donald Trump, in concrete ways, has been far harder on Russia than was the “reset” Obama presidency, and far more helpful to Ukraine than Team Obama ever was. Trump armed the Ukrainians. He upped sanctions against Russia. He ordered lethal retaliation against Russian mercenaries in Syria. He vastly increased U.S. oil and gas production to Russia’s detriment. He jawboned Germany about its fuel dependence on Moscow. He coerced NATO to spend more on defense. He got out of an asymmetrical missile treaty with Russia. He is rebuilding the U.S. military.

Unlike his predecessor, Trump did not dismantle U.S.-joint European missile defense in order to coax Putin into behaving during his reelection bid. He did not push a big plastic red reset button in Geneva to mark outreach to Putin, in rejection of prior Bush sanctions on Russians. He did not forbid the shipment of anti-tank missiles to an endangered Ukraine. He did not invite the Russians into Syria after a 40-year hiatus from the Middle East.

So the libel of Russian collusion was absurd from the get-go.

It originated in 2015-16 when the deep state was terrified over the then unlikely possibility of a President Donald Trump. The “collusion” ruse involved the chief players of federal law enforcement and national intelligence agencies. All, of course, had assumed Hillary Clinton would be president and their extralegal efforts to “insure” her victory would soon be commensurately rewarded, regardless of the illegality and unethical behavior required. And both crimes and amorality were most certainly involved.

The litany of these systematic abuses constitutes the greatest scandal in American history.

...Schiff was given a great gift with a quick Senate acquittal. If he had been called as a fact witness, he either would have had to lie under oath to refute his earlier myths, or continue them and compound his falsities.

The Mueller investigation—500 subpoenas, 22 months, $35 million—was one of the great travesties in American investigatory history. It was cooked up by fired, disgraced—and furious—former FBI Director James Comey. By his own admission, Comey conceded that he leaked confidential memos of private conversations he had with the president to create a large enough media and political storm to force the naming of a special prosecutor to investigate “Russian collusion.”

...Yet Mueller’s team was marred with problems from the outset. The amorous and textually promiscuous pair of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were both fired for their rank partisanship, although Mueller and his team initially hid the reasons for their departures and staggered their firings to suggest a natural rotation. Mysteriously, hundreds of their incriminating texts have disappeared from FBI smart devices—a weirdness reminiscent of the FBI’s willingness not to examine Hillary Clinton’s computers that were hacked, as well as apparent unconcern that she destroyed thousands of subpoenaed emails.

Some of that skullduggery and more are currently the subjects of a criminal investigation by U.S. Attorney John Durham. The American public has been assaulted for four years by an array of fake scandals, fake bombshells, and fake televised analyses that camouflaged a systematic and terrible assault on our constitutional freedoms.

But soon the worm may turn. The real scandal is back on the horizon, and at last, we may learn that no one is above the law, and most certainly not a group of smug and mediocre apparatchiks who assumed they had the moral right to destroy a presidential candidate and later an elected president.

In sum, this real scandal, dormant for over four years, had been overshadowed by a series of progressive-government-media driven melodramas, aimed at both injuring the Trump presidency—and, in preemptive fashion, shielding a virtual coup to destroy an elected president.

The coup attempt against President Trump

In FrontPage Magazine, Lloyd Billingsley writes in part,
The campaign against candidate Trump, and the coup attempt against President Trump, has yet to claim any lives, but it has certainly ruined a few. As the Federalist reveals, James Comey and Andrew McCabe signed off on FISA warrants that were false, which is a federal crime. These were part of more than a dozen cases in which the FBI violated FISA laws.

Daring to be deprogrammed

In his Morning Report, JJ Sefton writes,
...yesterday's release of the House Intel Committee's report was not exactly surprising in its conclusions, which were pre-determined a little over three years ago. What did come as a shock was the revelation in the report that Schiff-for-Brains was spying on Devin Nunes, Rudy Giuliani and others by obtaining their phone records. How he was able to get them is a mystery, at least insofar as who obliged him, not that he was able to obtain them which appears to be what is known in the trade as a federal crime. There's also the news that Schiff-for-Brains hired a former colleague of alleged whistleblower Eric Ciaramella on July 26th, the day after President Trump spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. What a co-inky-dink. But wait! There's more! The other little tidbit of an oopsie, which in the real world should be ringing major alarm bells about the incident itself, let alone what it indicates as to who the real criminals and colluders are is that The husband of Democrat Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, who sits on the House Judiciary Committee, reportedly took $700,000 from firms connected to a Ukrainian oligarch who has allegedly been "accused of ordering contract killings." From what we can glean, the money was not a bribe in the Hunter Biden sense (it was a salary earned, I guess, over a period of 10 years), but the individuals involved, and the fact the latest trumped up charges of supposed bribery and blackmail involving Trump and Ukraine, collectively is sending my BP into the stratosphere.

In any case, the minority report issued by the committee's GOP members absolutely shreds the Democrats case, and Stephanie Grisham's assessment that the report is nothing more than "the ramblings of a basement" blogger is much closer to literal truth than mere metaphor, especially considering some of the brain-dead bacteria that infect our little slice of the interwebz. Be that as it may, the fun starts all over again today in Jerry Nadler's House Judiciary Committee. But with the Ukraine angle dead, along with the concomitant alleged bribery and quid pro quo, the Dems are now going to spread the investigation far and wide to find anything they can use to justify all of these up to and including revisiting the original exploded Russia collusion myth.

As disgusting a spectacle as this all is to have to endure, remember that the more the public sees of this, the more they are turned off. This isn't the only or perhaps main inducement. Let's not forget the post-natal baby-killing, open borders and free healthcare for non-citizens, confiscatory taxation, confiscatory disarmament, job-killing green new deals, transsexual perverts in women's bathrooms and a whole litany of nightmares that are not only cementing the base, but attracting significant percentages of formerly guaranteed Democrat voters. Specifically American Blacks, American Latinos and other "grievance" blocs who are gradually awakening to the fact they are wanted only for their vote every two years.

The politics of all of this is a disaster for the Dems no matter how you slice it. Funny how they thought that dragging this out all the way to next November was going to be a surefire way to oust Trump at the voting booth. Now it looks as if they are desperate to rush this thing through and get it over with. Conventional wisdom is that all they want to do is forever brand Trump with the dreaded scarlet letter "I." But considering all the revelations about this and the original coup (which the agitprop media have to date more or less successfully embargoed the facts from reaching most Americans) and more importantly, Trump delivering with the greatest economic boom period in decades, a reinvigorated and rational foreign policy and military stance, and general cheerleading America and Americanism that we and millions of other around the world have been warmed by (see Hong Kong for example), I think even that will be a pyrrhic victory for the Left, and with censure, if they choose to go that route, doing nothing more than completely enraging their base.

As for Horowitz, Barr, and Durham, we covered that territory yesterday but still, it is worth considering a couple of things. First, while the major players and plotters in the greatest political crime bar none in American history may very well never see the inside of a courtroom, let alone a prison cell, their crimes will be revealed no matter how the Democrat-Media Complex attempts to spin them. And believe me, Trump is not going to let them establish the narrative.

Second, none of the things we have long suspected about our government and how it operates behind our backs (and sometimes in our face) and against the founding principles, laws, and customs they all swear to uphold would ever have come to light had Trump not been elected. I would say that that seminal moment in our history came about as a result of and ultimate reaction to what we have endured since at least the time of George H.W. Bush, certainly since Obama, for sure. I think that that in and of itself is a blessing. As a former Ted Cruz guy, when I cast my vote for Trump my only goal was to prevent Hillary Clinton from becoming president. Everything after that was going to be gravy, no matter what I imagined the Donald Trump I had known up until that time would do. Look at what he has done, or more accurately what we have given him the opportunity to do. And that is what this impeachment is really all about. For daring to be deprogrammed from the illusion and bullshit the Globalists have foisted on us since the end of World War 2, they want revenge. Trump is merely the figurehead; we are the ones they want to impeach.

So be it. War.

Where we are

In his Morning Report, JJ Sefton writes,
Good morning kids. Tuesday and the sham-peachment chronicles get bumped from the lead as our top story is the impending release of DoJ IG Michael Horowitz's report on FISA abuse. In this case, it's the reaction from AG William Barr who reportedly does not concur with Horowitz's findings that the FBI did have enough evidence/information to open up the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump 2016 campaign. This, of course is a complete crock since the players involved, specifically Alexander Downer, Joseph Mifsud and Stephan Halper colluded (heh) to entrap low-level Trump staffer George Papadopoulos with the bait of dirt/e-mails on Hillary Clinton, thereby setting in motion the whole "Russian collusion" narrative.

Well, considering Horowitz's Deep State pedigree we all kind of expected this to be another Comey whitewash. Plus, with Lisa Page now popping up and flapping her gargantuan gums about her innocence, and popping off at Trump for being mean to her about her tacky sexcapades with junior g-man Strzok, it's evident she knows she's in the clear. We also have the execrable bastard Andrew Weissmann, famous for railroading innocent people into multi-decade prison sentences, and the equally slimy Glenn Simpson, whose company Fusion-GPS specializes in manufacturing lies out of whole cloth for the purposes of smearing Leftists' political enemies, suddenly appearing on TV to claim the mantle of champions of justice, in an effort to minimize any damage the investigation might engender, or use as a whitewash to yet again attack Trump.

But, the investigations by Barr and US Attorney John Durham are still ongoing and I don't think either of them is going to sweep this under the rug. Do not let Barr's sort of disarming demeanor fool you; he strikes me as someone with character and a real sense of justice who is determined to get to the bottom of this and see some sort of justice done as well as attempt to clear the sullied name of the law enforcement institutions that he perhaps has or at least had pride in serving in, if that's even possible. Over the past few weeks he has given speeches and made statements that at least give some hope that there is at least one decent person in that nest of lawless tyrants. Now, will we see the likes of Comey, Brennan and Clapper, let alone Clinton and Obama, get perp-walked? I still have serious doubts about that. There is zero doubt in my mind that the latter two were the masterminds of this whole thing. At the very least, they knew about the plot and approved it. The actions of other regime capos like Samantha Power and Susan Rice in the final days of the bunker with all the unmaskings and the finagling of last second CYA e-mails are no less of a tell. All that said, people must be held accountable, and not just some second or third string bureaucrat. If an Obama or a Clinton, or at the very least Comey, Brennan or Clapper were to be indicted, what would that do to our already fractious political environment, which is ironic considering it is them and their political allies that have debased it to this low point in the first place? Perhaps our legal system is as far gone as the nation itself at this point and is beyond resuscitation. In any case, the Democrat-Media Complex will, and in fact is already spinning that these investigations are nothing more than an attempt to distract from Trump's alleged crimes and are abuses of power and persecution of his political enemies. Madness.

The bottom line for me is people have got to swing for this. Plus, the unaccountable and permanent bureaucracies that allowed this and all other depredations and abuses upon we the people have got to be neutralized if not completely dismantled. If not, make no mistake; the next time they gain power it will be us on the wrong end of the rope, figuratively and literally.

"It looks like the farm kid, and all Americans who are not invested in this insidious, destructive plot, will prevail."

In reviewing Lee Smith's book, Julie Kelly writes in American Greatness,
The Nunes family is just one of the many victims savaged by the Trump-hating mob—an effort funded by wealthy partisans and carried out by their accomplices hunkered down in the national news media, on Capitol Hill, and in federal government agencies—attempting to take down Donald Trump. Every American, regardless of political affiliation, should know what they did, how they did it, who they hurt, and how they have corrupted our country’s most trusted institutions, perhaps permanently.

...Smith covers the development and handling of the Steele dossier, including “protodossiers” also produced by Fusion that predated the well-known work by the British intelligence officer-turned paid political operative. As Nunes’ committee zeroed in on Fusion’s bank records in late 2017, a story in the Washington Post finally confirmed that Fusion and Steele had been paid by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee in 2016.

...“That’s why the establishment, the press, the permanent bureaucracy, the tech oligarchs, the urban aristocrats, the Deep State and all the rest of the ugly beautiful people, will never forgive Devin Nunes,” Smith explains. “It belittled them that he didn’t care he wasn’t their sort but was proud to be a farm kid.”

It looks like the farm kid, and all Americans who are not invested in this insidious, destructive plot, will prevail.

Teaching us deplorables a lesson

Robert Curry writes in American Greatness,
...But in a deeper sense, isn’t it clear that the coup has already happened? By trying to overthrow the results of a presidential election, the political elite is merely showing its hand; America has an elite that believes it now rules in America. We have an elite that does not accept the American idea of government—government by, for, and of the people.

By voting for Trump, you enraged the people who have designated themselves to rule you.

They are far beyond merely disappointed in you. You are a deplorable if you voted for Trump or if you have come around to supporting him. The people who are asserting that they rule America intend to teach you a lesson: “You have disappointed us, and we are going all out—with this fraudulent attempt to impeach Trump, with hyperpartisan ‘journalism,’ and by means of open borders, ballot harvesting, armies of dead people voting, whatever it takes—to make certain that this never happens again. Let this be a lesson to you about what voting means and what voting does not mean in the new, fundamentally transformed America.”

The "Coup" is now official!

In the Conservative Treehouse, Sundance has some sobering news.
The word “coup” shifted to a new level of formalized meaning last week when members of the political resistance showed up to remove President Trump wearing military uniforms.

Not only did U.S. military leadership remain silent to the optics and purpose, but in the testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman he admits to giving instructions to ignore the instructions from a sitting United States President.

In the absence of push-back from the Joint Chiefs, from this moment forth, the impression is tacit U.S. military support for the Vindman objective.

"a planned, organized, and very concerted effort within a network of DC interests, to conduct spy and surveillance operations against candidate Trump, president-elect Trump and President Trump."

Sundance writes in the Conservative Treehouse,
...Yes, there was political surveillance; yes, there was political spying; yes, there actually was an intelligence operation to remove President Trump being coordinated with involvement by a group within the IC, politicians, DC operatives (Fusion-GPS) and a network of specific media.

All of the aligned interests; and specifically all of the granular activity throughout 2018 – including activity within the DOJ and FBI under the Trump administration; which encompassed the Weissmann-Mueller effort; were working on a cover-program where defeating republicans in the 2018 mid-term election was part of a plan to: (a) protect their interests; (b) defend themselves from discovery of prior activity; and (c) hopefully continue the endeavor. The election loss of the House was not accidental or organic political activity, it was purposeful. [Uniparty GOP reps retiring was purposeful; ballot harvesting was purposeful; nothing was happenstance.]

….And the most interesting aspect to all of this is the only person (besides us) who appears to recognize the bigger, much bigger, big picture; is the same person who questioned FBI Director James Comey on March 20th 2017 when no-one had a clue about the scale and scope of their operations. It won't be the last time

King of all virtue signalers, James Comey, wore this shirt for a tweet to celebrate Pride month.

Judicial Watch's muscular President, Tom Fitton quickly matched Comey with this one celebrating Judicial Watch's fifty lawsuits to expose the Coup Cuck Clan.

"So let’s call it what it is. A coup."

Roger Kimball writes in American Greatness,
...I conclude that the term “hoax” is wholly inadequate to describe the enormity of the political scandal that was perpetrated against Donald Trump, against the office of the president, and ultimately against the American people.

For one thing, the word “hoax” implies something jocular or prankish. The joke might be malicious, but it is still intended to be humorous. There was nothing at all humorous about what just happened in our political life, though the hysteria of the anti-Trump chorus—the pussy-behatted females complaining about how “crude” Trump was, the “comedian” who paraded about with a bloody doll’s head representing the president, the tears and imprecations and jeremiads disgorged by the press and by Trump’s political enemies: all that did have a sort of ghastly if pathetic humor about it.

But when we step back and consider what actually happened over the past three years—and, more, what almost happened—it is clear that the word “hoax” does not begin to cover the reality of what I have been calling for many months the greatest political scandal in the history of the American republic.

...The word I have in mind is “coup.”

Again, I know that that is a dramatic, maybe a melodramatic, word. But I think it accurately expresses the deliberate effort by actors in the Obama Administration, including by President Obama himself, to assure Hillary Clinton’s victory by destroying the reputation of Donald Trump. “Most Presidents leave office,” the commentator L. J. Keith recently wrote, “and essentially step back from public life. Not Barack Obama. Shellshocked by Hillary Clinton’s loss, Obama, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and Clinton set in motion a series of events that will forever tar his presidency, and decimate the concept of a peaceful transition of power.”

Remember how long it took before we learned that Steele had been paid by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary campaign, and that his dossier was not just “unverified” and “salacious,” as James Comey put it, but was in fact nothing but a scurrilous piece of opposition research made up out of “random” scraps of gossip that Steele had assembled from highly dubious sources? Nevertheless, it was the dossier, and nothing but the dossier, that provided the unverified “evidence” for the supposedly “verified” FISA warrants to spy on Carter Page, an American citizen, and hence to spy on the campaign and then the administration of Donald Trump.

And on and on this kaleidoscopic onion has gone, as one layer after the next has been peeled back only reveal another layer and additional personalities.

Finally, however, I believe we are nearing the hollow center of the onion. The dogged Attorney General William Barr is proceeding methodically, inexorably to lay bare the origins of the spurious Russia investigation.

...We should face up to that unpleasant fact and call things by their real names. The actions taken by the Obama Administration threatened not just Donald Trump and his presidency but the very processes and protocols by which the peaceful transition of power has been effected in the United States. As L.J. Keith observed, “Even in the most contentious elections and after disputed results, there was never been this sort of dangerous, systematic, deliberate rejection of the will of the people. The abrogation of the constitution to use extrajudicial methods to destroy the incoming president. It is the very definition of a coup.”

FBI: Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity?

Mark Levin interviewed Independent Counsel Ken Starr last night. Starr led the investigation of Bill Clinton. Starr believes Donald Trump has been unwise in not using surrogates to attack the press like Bill Clinton did. Instead, Trump takes the press on all by himself!

The law requires that Mueller's report goes to Attorney General Bob Barr, who then will decide what to report to Congress.

Did you know that FBI stands for Fidelity, Bravery and Integrity?

Mark Levin is much more effective in this setting where he is calm, unlike his screaming anger on his radio show. He believes the DOJ and FBI have acted as a cabal. Starr agrees and asks who do they think they are? He calls them "runaway cops" who have an abysmal understanding of our Constitution! These rogue characters in the FBI and DOJ took unprecedented, very strange steps toward a coup de'etat.

Starr believes FBI Director Comey usurped the authority of the Attorney General when he decided not to investigate Hillary Clinton. Levin says that under Comey and McCabe we had a "rogue FBI!"

Congressional oversight. Starr believes we should continually be asking whether any of the three branches of government are exceeding their powers under the Constitution.

Starr wishes Christopher Wray would be more clear in showing that it's a new day at the FBI.

McCabe's interview and book: A signed confession!

Joe DiGenova was interviewed on WMAL this morning about last night's 60 Minutes interview of Andrew McCabe. Joe says Scott Pelly and CBS "accidentally performed a public service."

Joe says Bill Barr will be the "worst nightmare" of the people who sought to stage a coup.

Rosenstein is a "thug and the worst example of when career bureaucrats become politically motivated...who engaged in sedition and subversion...pathetic."

"Notice that McCabe never articulates what the basis was for investigating the president, because there was none!"

National emergency on the border, and Republicans like Rubio are afraid to defend their president!

Trump has a pot of about $8 billion before he even gets to the national emergency declaration!

What is more important than negotiations with China? "outing the coup and convicting the current officials who are corrupting all levels of our current government."

In the Conservative Treehouse, Sundance writes,
The confrontation with China is the priority for President Trump. POTUS knows China is far more dependent on the U.S. than vice-versa.

President Trump is the first U.S. President to understand how the red dragon hides behind the panda mask. The entire planet is focused on the dynamic of Chairman Xi and President Trump. Billions waged on tweets, coded messages, hints of smiles. Epic stuff.

In the multinational finance world this financial face-off is bigger than the all military world wars combined. This is legendary stuff here. Bigger than any legacy initiative ever fathomed by all Presidents in decades. Every nuance and inference is carefully reviewed by Wall Street’s ‘Big Club’ looking for any leverage to influence the outcome.

The funniest thing is Donald Trump doesn’t care about all that. He has the desired ‘America First’ outcome gamed out for decades: We finally win, China acquiesces.

It may not be popular to keep pointing out, but this is the stuff President Trump really cares about. The Deep State, DC Swamp, Mueller, Comey, Michael Cohen, congressional hearings…. confrontations, resistance efforts…. and all that ‘spygate’ and surveillance stuff is way over there…. Something that is necessarily attended to, but in the larger scheme of things, far less important.

President Trump has fifty years of business skills in various predatory and adversarial financial deals. Leverage, or the ability to force an opponent to take an action that benefits your position, is the most valuable weapon in deals; business or politics the same is true.

Leverage and influence is extremely valuable and it’s not just against Democrats and the Never Trump alliance (ie. Sea Island group). President Trump is in a fight against multiple enemies from all sides, across all aisles and political alignments.

The declassification leverage is a weapon; an atomic hammer that strikes everyone in a 360° blast radius. President Trump is not going to waste it to remove a few political gnats.
Read more of Sundance's excellent analysis here.
As for me, I agree with Treehouse commenter Kent, who writes,
I find it hard to accept that deeply corrupt individuals who hate America as founded being in charge of all the major law enforcement and national security organizations “takes a back seat” to the negotiations with China. If we do not eliminate the massive internal corruption which is attempting to complete a coup which takes Trump out, then all the China stuff is just dust in the wind.

The top priority is outing the coup and convicting the current officials who are corrupting all levels of our current government.

The coup

Derek Hunter writes at Town Hall,
...Republicans have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pass legislation they’ve sworn they ran for office to pass – on health care, taxes, immigration, regulatory reform, shrinking government, the budget, you name it. And they’ve done next to nothing – aside from playing along with the attacks on Trump or remaining silent.

It makes you wonder what the point of winning was. Because it sure wasn’t to stand idly by while the left-wing political and media machine pinned down the president.

I don’t know what Mueller may or may not find. It’s impossible to know what people with virtually unlimited means can find when they set their minds to finding something no matter what.

And I don’t know what the next media story will be – it’s impossible to predict the future when people are less bound by reality than a narrative. Whatever ends up happening there, one thing is for sure – the “resistance,” as it likes to call itself, is conducting a coordinated, slow-rolling coup against President Donald Trump.

The story won’t be that Trump was forced from office so much as it will be that Republicans let it happen. Which is just what the Democrats were counting on.

"This is the most fundamental challenge to democracy in our lifetimes."

John Hinderaker writes at Power Line,
Derrick Watson, a Democratic Party activist who was appointed to the federal bench in Hawaii by President Obama in 2012, has issued a purported injunction barring implementation of President Trump’s travel order. I have not yet read Watson’s opinion, and will comment on it in detail when I have done so. But I have read Trump’s order, and the idea that it somehow can be blocked by a federal judge is ridiculous. The order is absolutely within the president’s constitutional discretion.

What we are seeing here is a coup: a coup by the New Class; by the Democratic Party; by far leftists embedded in the bureaucracy and the federal judiciary. Our duly elected president has issued an order that is plainly within his constitutional powers, and leftists have conspired to abuse legal processes to block it. They are doing so in order to serve the interests of the Democratic Party and the far-left movement. This is the most fundamental challenge to democracy in our lifetimes.

The battle lines are clearly drawn. What Watson has done has nothing to do with the law. It is a partisan coup, and must be resisted.
