They didn't pay him enough!

Liam Deacon reports at Breitbart,
A British Islamic State suicide bomber was freed from Guantanamo Bay after lobbying by UK’s left-wing government and paid £1 million of taxpayer’s money in compensation.
That is 1.25 million US dollars!

On his return to the UK, the then Labour party Home Secretary David Blunkett insisted: “No one who is returned… will actually be a threat to the security of the British people”.

Ronald Fiddler, known as Abu Zakariya al-Britani, blew himself up near the Iraqi city of Mosul this weekend, in an attack targeting coalition forces containing embedded British and American Special Forces advisers.

GOP is angry that Obama continues to release terrorists from Guantanamo

Kristina Wong reports at The Hill that the GOP is angry that Obama continues to release terrorists from Guantanamo, increasing the risk of harm to American citizens.

h/t David Adams, who wonders
(Come on, Boys & Girls. It just isn’t enough to be angry with the Emperor. If Obama does NOT have Constitutional authority to release detainees why on Earth are you letting him continue to do this?)

Released from Guantanamo to kill Americans

Richard Lardner reports at AP,
Americans have been killed by prisoners released from the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a senior Defense Department official told lawmakers Wednesday, triggering sharp criticism from Republicans opposed to shuttering the facility in the wake of deadly attacks by the Islamic State group in Brussels and Paris.

Just ignore the law!

Do you suppose it is a possibility that Obama has made a deal with the Castro brothers to turn over the Guantanamo prison to the Cuban commies? So they can imprison more Cubans who disagree with their regime?

Valerie Richardson reports at the Washington Times,
Even though the 2015 National Defense Appropriation Act renews the congressional ban on transferring of Gitmo detainees to U.S. soil, the Defense Department has conducted site surveys at highly secure facilities recently in Kansas and South Carolina, meeting in both instances with staunch opposition from GOP governors.

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback said in August that his state will not be part of any “illegal ill-advised action by this administration” to transfer the 52 detainees to U.S. soil, while South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said that “we are not going to allow South Carolina to become a magnet for terrorists to come here.”

By comparison, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, was more open-minded. His spokeswoman told The Associated Press that he “wants to have a full understanding of the costs, risk and impacts for Colorado.”

All the Colorado Congressional representatives and both senators have said all the right things in opposition. Senator Bennet, though, is up for reelection in 2016, and may need money for his campaign.

Tsarnev released from captivity

Did you hear the news? Moments after Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty on all 30 counts, Obama released him from captivity, trading him for five terrorists at Guantanamo, who will be sent to
“any Islamic state, group or caliphate that will take them.”

Al Qaeda terrorists imprisoned at Guantanamo are treated far better than our own veterans

J.D. Gordon writes:
Al Qaeda terrorists at Guantanamo are treated better than our vets.

Despite the fact that Al Qaeda terrorists carried out the Sept. 11 terror attacks, killing 3,000 people in America, the admitted co-conspirators and their roughly 150 fellow jihadists at Gitmo have approximately 100 doctors, nurses and health care personnel assigned to them.

Doctors and medical personnel are at their beck and call. Got a cold, a fever, a toothache, a tumor, chest or back pain, mental health issues, PTSD? No problem, come right on in. Military doctors are waiting to see you.

The VA and Gitmo eligible patient-to-health care provider ratios speak volumes.

While the Gitmo ratio is 1.5 to 1, for America’s 9 million veterans receiving VA health care and 267,930 VA employees, the ratio is 35 to 1.

In late 2008, when Obama was president-elect, he and his staff were warned not to trust the wait times reported by VA health care facilities. But instead of fixing the problem, their focus was closing Guantanamo and improving the comfort of detainees. Even though they already lived under some of the best prison conditions ever seen.
