$5 Noire

A 5 book series in one book Yesterday, I made a gaffe of sorts, I decided to re-write my original e-book The Dockland Murders , then I realized I had combined all the Pat Canella e-books into one file on my laptop. Instead of re-writing a 30-page story, I am now writing/editing a 140-page series, hence the  $5 price tag.

Pat Canella is set to return

The word on the street is Pat Canella is set to return to the beat. I stood there, the gun still warm in my hand, barrel smoking from the gun battle. “Why did he do that, Sarge?  I tried my best to talk him out of it.” “Living with the guilt finally got to him, Patti.” “Couldn’t he have talked it over?” “No, the only thing worse than being a dirty cop is being the son of a loose cannon, and none came looser than Bill Chart, Patti.” I looked around.  There lay the body of Bill's son, my ex-partner, Adrian Chart. “I had no choice; he pulled first, Sarge," I said through my tears. “I know, Patti, we all saw it.  Nobody blames you.  It was his way out.” The last thing I remember was the Sarge saying in a soft tone, "Take a week off Patti, something like this will haunt you. I know. I have been there myself.”  Dazed, I stood there, trying to remember how it had all started . . . * * * I'd wanted an office and had pestered the sergeant for m...

Not all noir is to my taste

Euro noir I have seen  Noir  TV series from all over Europe. Honestly, the only ones I can’t get into are ones from Norway and Finland.  The Icelandic series sometimes take a while to click but the Norwegian and Finnish series I cannot get into, whether this is because both countries have a border with Russia is hard o define. It could be the style of acting that grates with me, as none of the characters appear likable to me.

Pat Canella returns

The winner Praised by a former police sergeant from Queensland  for its authentic feel. My original e-book returns to the shelves.  The cover of the book is the only thing I won in a competition. If you enjoy a good thriller , this book is for you. Dockland Murders is the first of four stories I wrote about Pat Canella, if this does well, I shall release the others.

Haunted by her past

Image
Noir What a pleasant surprise. Last night the last Pat Canella series book finally   made a sale.  This was to be the latest in the series, the story   has a mysterious ending because I was unsure if it would sell; the other two e-books in the series died a slow death.

Is this Patti's last ride?

Tough to beat Will we know what happened? New release this week The last instalment in the Pat Canella series comes out this week. In Haunted by her past  Patti has to choose between taking on the Colderone on their turf, or waiting for an all out war on the streets of Witchborough. Let's say Patti's long suit isn't waiting for things to happen.  Haunted by her past   The stories in this selection are so creepy, I had bad dreams - and I knew what lay ahead - imagine how an unsuspecting reader will feel. The end of the third selection of this highly rated series is a mystery. I left it open in case the sales encourage me to write further stories. Patti's persona   While Mark Johnson was largely based on my   persona, Patti is based on a mix of Jordan Cavanaugh from Crossing Jordan   http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284718/   and Lilly Rush from Cold Cases  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368479/?ref_=nv_sr_1 . If you like your women ...
