Could I write a novel?
Not anymore I was first asked this question by a friend in Texas over a decade ago; she asked as my short stories on her, and several other blogs I used to write were the most popular. At the time, I had not considered the task, I thought writing over 40,000 words beyond my ability as a writer . I surpassed my belief in my ability, I turned a 1,500 word short story on my friend's blog into a novel , well I could have, but I stopped at 38,500 words, why? I was writing like a man possessed, for two years I lived the lives of my characters, then one day, I thought what am I doing? I realised I'd spent over two years writing a book nobody may not read. I was right, I finished the story, and out it online; to date it has not sold an eBook . Last night, my good friend, Julia, in Seattle sent a link for a publisher looking for writers to promote; they were looking for stories over 150,000 words. My best is about 50,000, that is my last collaboration with Julia, The Awakening...
