It all started with a new Tree 5

This is the Dog Tree, it needs attention.
Stripped and Redone, I don't want to.
The Dog tree came pre-lit MANY years ago.

3 dogs in the house and it went down to many times, think barking 60-pound dogs at the window.
I went to Dollar Tree and bought all tacky unbreakable plastic and paper ornaments.
it looked good in the dark, for years!
Last year the lights died. To cut them off, I would have to remove all the cheap stuff and I chose to take wired fairy lights and wrap it like a tree mummy with the lights on the outside of the ornaments.
Are you picking up the fact I hate decorating?
For now, the wrapped tree resides on the kitchen counter.

The bottom looks pretty if you can't see the top.
Cheap, unbreakable, fits in a bag, on a shelf and back out with nothing to do but plug it in.

Now it resides on the kitchen counter.

I backed off and thought Linda and Ginny and Annie and Ann would all agree the kitchen was to plain with nothing but a tiny tree.
I grabbed the berries that were in the vase on the kitchen table and plunked it in the bottle that Philomena's Daughter lived in until I tossed her in the trash.
As I staggered to my chair, totally stressed from all these decisions, I realized
the kitchen table had an empty vase.
OY VEY
I rushed to the closet and...........................

Glamper Camper Christmas

You may know, photos are my hobby,
It is no shock I noticed the tree in the doctor's lobby.
there were snowmen and tiny campers and some kind of sign,
Should I walk closer with cell? Yes, I said in my mind.

As I got closer, the sign said I did it, I rang the bell.
The tree had 3, I thought oh Well
I will find the answer on my cell.
The answer I did find
And it blew my mind.
Cancer patients ring the bell, when completing radiation,
these tiny signs meant all three patients
had hung the sign when they rung the bell.
I said a prayer that they would all do well.

It was joy to see the tiny campers,
probably decorated by Christmas Glampers.
They glittered and shined
causing happiness in my mind.

Blog Fodder, it's everywhere if you are The MADsnapper!

It all started with a new tree 4 PLUS the painting

The Nook is All I decorate.
The Painting by Linda Chapman was a game changer.
I hung it on the living room wall.
I hung it on the dining room wall.
It looked strange by itself. It Bothered Me.
I bought a rope garland of pinecones and berries and draped it.
NOPE!
Annie as in Hootin Annie suggested leaning the painting in the nook.
I had already tried that, and it was a big NO, too big for the nook
I dragged out my favorite Santa, a gift from my son's wife many years ago.
Plopped Santa on the trunk, leaned the painting, dropped the garland and swished it around.
Better but not right. Grabbed an old string of fairy lights and smushed it on the garland.
Yes! I like it.
The statue that was sitting on the kitchen counter looked ODD.
I grabbed the dog tree, 22 inches of dollar decor all unbreakable, it used to sit by my rocker.
Carried the 50 pound statue to the closet, pulled my back, plugged in the tree without freshneing it from its year of sitting in a bag on a shelf.
I like it, when I sit in my chair chatting with all of you, I can see it.
this is not The End.

It All Started with a new Tree 3

the tree came with no lights and tiny pinecones wired on the limbs.
I loved it. I added a strand of fair lights, and decided to just have the pinecones.
THEN
I ordered small ornaments from Amazon,
and a bag of tiny pinecones, the pinecones came and were HUGE and not tiny and the small metal ornaments were so miniature I needed glasses to see them.
Returned it all,

While shopping at Walmart Saturday as I rushed by the ornaments, which I had checked 3 days before and found nothing, i spied a card of red glitter covered pinecones, the same size as the ones on the tree.
9 of them for $1.98.
I love them, I dug through old ornament's and found 6 small balls from 1986
and this is what is on it, in daylight.
I love it now, daylight or dark.

It Started with a NEW Tree 2

first try

The tree came with no lights, just a few pinecones on it and was beautiful just like that.
I had a rope of pinecones and berries and set up the above. It took to hours to create this mess because of cleaning glass and mirrors and digging in 4 boxes of Christmas that I never use.
I backed off and took a photo and just did not like it.
I can't stand clutter.  I like clean and clear spaces.
the next morning, I spent an hour untangling the fairy lights from the rope and placing them up high behind all the glass.

2nd try

I loved lack of clutter above, on the way to bed, I thought,  I can't stand the lights up there on the shelves, I did not take a photo because I knew at daybreak it was ALL COMING DOWN

All this over a small 7 x 5 foot NOOK in a wall. It's been there for 32 years.

5 Am the 3rd day of trying to decorate a small nook, Bob watched in amazment as I removed everything in the nook and started over.

I don't love it, but I can live with it and at end of year, those fairy lights are DONE and Gone.

3rd and done

At Walmart I found wax candles with battery run flickering flames. they look ok when hey are off,

BIT they are yellow lights not white.
Can you say OCD?
to be continued and continued and
