CP Holiday Train

What a lovely evening for this event, standing on Panet Road for the Canadian Pacific Holuday Train to roll in!

Hopefully it was a great turnout for everyone, especially for Winnipeg Harvest!  It was awesome to have Angela join Janice and I this year!  We missed you Marilyn!  You can see we three sure did!

My favourite!

Bye bye till you come again next year!!!

June 9th

Another beautiful morning outside, even city gardeners agree with Hamish!

Ohhhh boyyyyy!  In the minute I looked up and saw this cloud as a happy dog wagging his tail and by the time I picked up my phone it was a chicken and then quickly into Boomer the Bombers mascot when I captured it!  Now it's just drifting apart and a cloud only!  Honest it was like a little terrier with a feathery tail wagging.  Can't you see Boomers beak?  I've a picture, I'll find it!

Ohhhh this was a treat to see!!! In all the time I've sat Hamish he's not been much for toys!

I've a few friends that when together this applies!

Today this came up on FB!  I was here, my retirement gift to myself, in Australia and rode that train but can't remember if it was down or up!  DUH!!!!!!

I even walked down and back up the cliff edged rock crumbing stairs to the lookout way below.  🤢

CUBA - Day 7 - Excursion - Sugar Cigar n Rum

But was really hot, tired and no energy left for uploading last night after my first DAY excursion. Will shortly! 🌞

Up at 6:15 to have a ham n cheese sandwich before boarding the bus at 7:30 am. First to board, 4 more hotel pickups.

First time seeing a no smoking sign!

Locomotive used to transport the sugar cane.

Our transportation through the countryside - totally in awe of the better next to the poorer.

Sugar plant closed since 2002 - bottom fell out of the sugar cane industry.

Our entertainment on the ride!

Cacti fences are private residences - allowed to grow banana and palm trees aling with vegetables for their livelihoods.

Original houses made from Royal palms, need a licence to cut one down - trunk used for walls and leaves for roof.

The end - back to the bus.
