Didn't visit the Cathedral this visit (2019) as there was a funeral. The photos were taken several visits ago.

Bendigo, Victoria
This is one mighty long caravan, people must live in it all the time, certainly not my cup of tea.
Bendigo in Victoria is a beautiful city with many old buildings, it's a busy city so therefore hard to get a photo of the buildings.
Bendigo was originally a gold rush boom town, and was home to the mid-1900s Central Deborah Gold Mine. The urban population is over 99,000 people making it the 4th largest inland city in Australia.
The fountain is beautiful and is in the middle of the road, hard to take a photo of it so it's taken through the window when travelling.
Part of a street to give some idea of the trees that line the side of some of the street. An older building below, once again taken as travelling past.
The Chinese cemetery which is well looked after. People buried here from the gold rush times and of course since I presume.

Bendigo, Victoria
On our way home I wanted to call into Bendigo Woollen Mills to buy some yarn for crocheting - I did :) and had a lovely time.
Bendigo is a city in Victoria and was a gold rush city in 1850's. The city has some beautiful buildings but hard to find a park to take photos. However the Catholic Church is a Cathedral up on a big hill and I've put some photos of the inside of the Cathedral taken a few years ago.

My dads little operation went well and we anticipate him going home next week, I will stay with him till he's stronger, plus he will have help beside me.
Thanks to all who wished him well.
I have posted about Bendigo [here] in March this year - interior of the Cathedral. They were older photos, the ones below taken this year and are different. [Here] my post a few days ago.

Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia
A beautiful Catholic Cathedral in Bendigo which was built in 1897 and completed in 1977. The large pipe organ was installed in 1905, the organ being built by Bishop & Son of London.
I couldn't get a decent photo of the outside due to the sun.
The Cathedral will seat 2,000 people according to the man sitting in the Church who commenced a conversation with me. From memory that same man was sitting in the same place when I last visited the Cathedral :)
The style of the Cathedral is early English Gothic. A few photos of the outside of the Cathedral.

Bendigo, Victoria.
Bendigo is a large Regional City not far from Melbourne, Victoria.
Gold was discovered in the area about 1850. Since then, Bendigo has been the second highest producing goldfield in Australia and remains the seventh largest in the world.
Bendigo was the city in which penniless Russian immigrant Sidney Myer opened the first Myer store in 1900. Today, Myer department stores can be found throughout Australia's capital cities and regional centres.
We drove through this city within and around it on our way home last month having visited it several times over the years. This year I took some photos but couldn't get close enough to the buildings due to traffic. I am not sure which building is what but they are all along one street except one building.

Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bendigo
Bendigo is about 150km from Melbourne in the State of Victoria Australia
Gold was discovered many years ago so hence many migrants came to settle and find the gold.
There are also factories of various types along with farming in the district.
