Bridport, Tasmania, Australia

The Bridport Lighthouse was built in 2017, so it's certainly not old and it's a concrete round one that serves the purpose for the local area. The sea is Bass Strait.
The photos were taken near the lighthouse at Bridport in the north eastern area of Tasmania.

Bridport, Tasmania

The other week we went to Bridport which is not that far from home here in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.  We bought some lunch after trying several places as we don't eat normally between the hours of 11.30am to 2pm, we often eat about 2pm or 3pm so it's hard to find places that will feed you.  We did find a place with left over take a way so took the food down by the sea and ate.
The map below has a dark spot next to Bridport to give some idea where we went.
The first photo is our course of an old getty and it's popular with photographers, also looks nice hanging on walls which I did.

We have been shuffling cars around so to speak this past week.  We bought a brand new car, we had to wait only 6 weeks for it to arrive off cargo vehicle carrier then to be detailed and so on, we took delivery on Tuesday afternoon.  Sold the other vehicle we used to tow the caravan with and then sold my Audi as well. It is and was time to downsize and I'm sure we'll manage with only one car, if we don't I'll buy another.

In the evening

The beach at Bridport faces the east.  The sunset isn't the best, taken from the caravan is the first one the others taken across the footpath.
This is the last of the February/March holiday.
More photos to come in next post of day trips taken the other week.

All packed up.

After several days in Bridport in March we packed up and headed home.

The caravan below is an Avan, never seen one so small.  The second photo is our caravan ready to take back home.

The walk

After St. Helens we travelled to Bridport to stay several nights.
Bridport has some fishing but is a good tourist/holiday spot.
Bridport is a small town and it turns very busy in the summer, the caravan park will be full and the town comes alive with visitors.

We went for a short walk along the flat path and back to the caravan most days whilst we were there.
The footpath was just below our caravan, this is some of what we saw on that walk.
These photos were taken with my old phone, Samsung Galaxy S9 plus.

Home again!

Have returned from a month's holiday after having such a wonderful time travelling parts of Tasmania, Australia.
Seems Tasmania is very popular for travel these days as many people we encountered were tourist.

This photo was taken at Bridport, Tasmania and was the view from the caravan windows facing east.

A rose for those who lost their lives and those that are injured in more ways than one in New Zealand.
