CASology 191-washi butterfly

I was scrolling through Instagram today and came across the current CASology challenge. Here is the cue word for this week.

I was inspired to pull out my washi tape collection and create some unique, pretty butterflies with the  Butterfly Wishes Confetti Cuts by Reverse Confetti. I simply laid down about 5 strips of washi tape in the different designs on some white card stock.  I then added my dies to the top and ran it through my die cut machine. I tied on some solid Lilac Twine. love that stuff!

Keeping it clean and simple, I used a handful of RC dies. I love the teeny hearts in the background. I cut two of the Double Panel Hearts in white and backed with grey and adhered them next to each other. On top of that I layered the Class Act solid rectangle in Berrylicious and then topped it with the Bold Line Pretty Panel. I stamped the "hello" from the Whole Lotta Love stamp set.I finished the card off with a couple rounded corners on the card base.

Thanks for stopping by today! I always love to see what you have to say.
 Check back tomorrow,
It's a two post Wednesday!

Color Throwdown 381-Friendship and Butterflies

Hello to all of you throwdown fans!  I don't know about you, but I'm ready to think spring!  This fun watering can photo was the perfect photo op to throw down the springtime colors of pink, light green and kraft!

We're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown - Pink, Light Green, Kraft - you'll be good...the color police won't come after you. We want this to be all about having fun!  Feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well. If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD381, and please use #ctd381 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure.

Soft and pretty was the feeling I was going for with this card. I used the new Concord & 9th dies, Floral & Flutter, that I picked up from Butterfly Reflections. Soooo, so pretty and so many different ways to use them. I kept it simple and cut two of them, one from pink and one from craft. I stamped some of the new leafy images from the Wildflower Stamp set in the background.

It was so hard to photograph the sentiment. If I were to make this card over, I would probably opt to stamp the words in the Pistachio Pudding ink and the leaf images in the white embossing. But anyway, I do love an embossed sentiment and this one from By Your Side is so pretty. I finished off the card with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in the challenge colors.

For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! We can't wait to see what you create with these new colors.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great one!

MFTWSC-Celebrate

I am wasting no time this week with the Wednesday Sketch Club Challenge this week. I love during the Release Parties that the new sketch is usually shared, and when I woke up this morning the challenge was already posted. So I got crafting.

I was sooooo inspired by Amy's nautical themed baby projects from the New Product Tour. The colors, the stripes and the anchors.....LOVE!

I hope you aren't getting sick of the Atlantic papers from Studio Calico. Obviously, I'm not. I pulled out some of the blue toned patterns and used them on this week's card. You can find this week's Challenge details and the sketch HERE.

I am really embracing this nautical trend. I love the anchor die included in the Sea Charms Die-namics set from MFT. I tied one on with some Hemp Twine and a Kraft button.

I was also fortunate to get this new Accent it-Celebrate Die-namics with one of my last DT packages when I was on the MFT team. I had to hold on to it until after it was officially released last night. I was  eager to bust it out. I looove how these letters are cut out. I added the diagonal strip from Washi Patterns along the bottom.

I was going to add a "happy Birthday" sentiment to the inside, but then decided I would leave it blank. I think the celebrate on the outside lend this to becoming a card that could be used for any occasion. So I just added a strip of those diagonals along the bottom.

While I was working with MFT sketches, I decided to also bust out a card for last week's sketch. You can find the WSC131 sketch details HERE.

I kept my card fairly simple and followed the sketch to a tee. I used Blissful Butterflies in place of the flower in the corner.

I cut three different sizes and stamped the matching images on to the Primitive Cream cs in Pink Lemonade, Kraft and Lemon drop (stamped off once. I can't wait for my Banana split ink to arrive) inks.

I do love the Chalkboard Frame Die-namics. They are so fun to work with and you really can build just about any size frame you desire.  I stamped some Darling Dots over top in Cream ink and then used my Tim Hotlz, Tiny Attacher to add those small staples. I love the rustic feel they add to my card.

Thanks for hanging with me today! wishing you a fabulous weekend! See you back here in a day or two with some more crafty stuff.
