Wanna Sketch no.14-Thank You Duo

I have always loved Lisa Arana's Wanna Sketch challenges. It has been awhile since I have played along. When I saw this sketch, right away I knew I wanted to use the Reverse Confetti Office Edges Confetti Cut die (all links listed below). I needed a few thank-you notes for my son, so I whipped up a card duo.

I used the same supplies for each card, and just changed up the color scheme. Love doing that. Makes a card making session go a little faster. I stamped the stars from Inner Rock Star on the custom made notebook paper layer. I stamped it once in Lemon Drop and again in Gumdrop Green. I used my Arrow embossing folder to add some extra texture.

For the sentiment (Lots to Say), I went ahead and cut two of the double ended fishtail banner pieces from the RC Tag Me Confetti Cut die set. I tied on some twine and called these done. I'm still loving the Let's Polka papers. Fun stuff. The paper is a must have!

Here is the Wanna sketch from Lisa A's blog. Come play along. There is still a teen y bitty amount of time.

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on my cards today.

Happy Friday, friends! I'll see you back here on Sunday for my Sweet Sunday Sketch post.

Retro Sketch 102 {thank-you}

I have a quick CAS card for this week's Retro Sketch 102 challenge. I am always so inspired by Karen Giron's color combos on her cards. They are so crisp and fresh. I tried one out today. It's from THIS card of hers.

 I used MFT card stock and ink-Wild Cherry, Spearmint, natural, and pink lemonade. I started by embossing my natural cs with the Dots folder from Stampin' Up! (it's FREE with a SAB order right now).

The little frame  is an MFT Die-namics Precious Polaroids. It was the perfect size to fit the sketch.  The rest of the dies and stamps I used are from Reverse Confetti. The "thank you" is from Forever Fall and the sweet little flower I created is from the smallest heart included in the Love Note set. The flower center is the largest re-enforcer die from Tag Me.

Simple and sweet! I hope you like it. Here is the sketch from the Retro Sketch blog.

MFT WSC137 {thank-you plaid}

I LOVED this week's sketch, and I loooooove the new Plaid Background Builder stamp set. If you were on FB the other day, you might have seen my post. I said the set should have a warning on it.....Addicting. hahaha!

Here's my card.

So yesterday's card I used only a single stamp to create lines in Fuse Green. Today.....I have full on Plaid and I just adore my color combo-fuse, berrylicious, and a touch of Steel Blue.
I used the new Lisa Johnson set, Grand Greetings. This one is my favorite, something about that angled word. ♥

I used some bits and pieces from a few Blueprints Die-namics sets and finished this off with a flower created with the Flower Medley Die-namics. I added  a few polka dots from Darling Dots in the new Sweet Tooth ink...... It's yummy, I tell you! Some twine and a Sno Cone button complete the cuteness.
There is a new way to play along with the WSC sketch challenge. Link up on the MFT Blog. You can read all the details HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today. I have a Unity card for you tomorrow and another challenge with Heather. I hope you'll pop on by to check it out.

Happy Friday!!
