Curtain Call-Pretty in Pink Challenge

**please scroll down for my RC SFYTT card**

Welcome friends, and hellllllo May! I think my boys are in count down mode. Only a month left of school and a calendar chuck full of activities. This month will fly. BUT before it does, let's slow things down around here and enjoy the next round of Curtain Call Challenge

I know you'll be happy with this one. I was over the moon excited to see this sponsor in the line up.

We have a fabulous new sponsor, Pretty Pink Posh, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Pink & Pretty!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive a gift certificate to the Pretty Pink Posh Shop!

I mixed and matched some of my favorite products from a few different companies. Those Pretty Pink Posh sequins look great with everything! I'll have links listed below. I accented my die cuts with the lovely sequins from the PPP shoppe

There are so many beautiful colors to choose from. Here I used Fresh mint on the leaves, Sand (a MUST have. They look great with gold and lots of neutrals.) and then I scattered a few Pink Peonies across the card front.

There is also a fabulous selection of beautiful ribbons in the store. I used some Champaigne Twill ribbon and a bit of twine to tie it all up. Here is another look at my full card. I love those stitched dies from Lil' Inker Designs. The sentiment and polka dots are from Reverse Confetti, and the flower and leaves are from MFT. ( all links listed below).

Please join us in welcoming Leigh Penner from To the Full as our Guest Designer for the Pink & Pretty challenge.

Sequin Shaker Blog Hop!

I have been so excited about this blog hop since Paulina announced it. If you have been around my blog for a while, then you know I made my very first shaker card EVER about 6 weeks ago. Thanks to the lovely sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh shoppe (and now available at a bunch of other online stores...yipppee!!) I have been hooked. They are so fun to make and even more fun to give away. Who doesn't LOVE an interactive card??

I decided to use some of the awesome stitched dies from Lil' Inker Designs. LOVE them. I used the cool, Anytime Tag Die set for my shaker frame.

Creating a shaker element in any size and shape is easy if you have some nesting dies. Simply start by cutting the largest size you want, then pink a smaller one, line it up in the middle of your first cut piece and run it through your die cut machine again. This will create the frame for your shaker. Paulina did a great How-to video here. Check it out.

I created a Bokeh effect in the background with the solid circle stamp from Spot On stamp set and a pencil eraser. The sentiment was stamped in Grout Gray ink and it's from the Stay Beautiful stamp set. Once I had all the stamping done and pieced together my frame elements, I filled up my shaker with LOTS of pretty sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh store. I used: Fresh Mint, Aquamarine, Lemon Meringue, Pink Peonies.

I prettied up my shaker frame with a custom flower. I used an unexpected die for my bloom, can you tell? It's the small stitched sun by Lil' Inker Designs. I cut two and layered them together, topping it with a pretty soft yellow button. The leaves are from the MFT Blueprints 14 Die-namcis.
I will send you on your way. There is so much more to see. Please see all those that are hopping along in the link up on Paulina's blog.

Join us at the PPP blog and link up your card. Or just check out all the great shaker card inspiration you'll find there!

RC-April Color Challenge {You are the Best}

Welcome back for another fun post with some Reverse Confetti goodies.  It's our April Color Challenge.....AND I'm practicing my shaker card skills.

I'm so excited about how this card turned out. I have been so inspired lately by watercoloring (thinking about signing up for THIS class.....anyone want to do it with me?) and shaker cards. I combined them both here, today.

Here is the inspiration photo and color board. Isn't it goooorgeous??!!!!

I used my Tim Holtz Distress markers to brush on some color to my water color paper. I then used a water brush to "wash" out the color and give it a more realistic watercolor look. I hit it with my heat gun to dry and then used the All About You stamp set inked in black for my sentiment.
I used the Love Note Confetti Cut along with the Class Act Confetti Cut solid rectangle die to create my shaker box.

I can't get enough of those sweet Petals 'n Posies, too. I used the Confetti Cut dies to cut a trio that accents the corner of the shaker element and added a pretty Beautiful Banner with a sentiment from Petals 'n Posies stamp set. (all links below)

Here is a close up of the sequins I used in my shaker card. Super cute from Pretty Pink Posh.

Check out all the ways you can combine these words!
