Embrace Happiness

Hubby was at a soccer meeting and the boys each had friends over, so that meant stampy time for mama. I went ahead and colored up this sweet stamp from TSG, Amalie's Daisy.  I picked her up the other week during their Christmas in July sale. Love that!

I made things easy on myself and used Lisa Arana's Wanna Sketch no.7 for my layout. Have you seen her sketches yet? They are sure fun and a great way to kick start a clean and simple card.
I also am sliding in at the last minute with this week's TSG-Metal challenge. I added some criss crossed staples and used a grey brad. See, you can add metal to a girly card and still make it look sweet.

I loved that this stamp set included the extra flower image. I used it to stamp my background  as well as to add an extra layer to her hat flower.

I colored this top flower the same as the first one and popped it up with a dimensional. I also gave it a touch of sparkle with MFT's Glitter Glaze

This was the perfect card for my Sunday afternoon. Hope you like it. I'll be back tomorrow with more stampy goodies.

There She Goes....Fly Penelope {color challenge}

I was in love from the moment I saw her. Penelope and birdcage is part of a new line of stamps from There She Goes. She was just released and I hit the order button really quick on this one. I just think she is darling and so fun to color up.
I wanted to play along with her for last week's challege, but the challenge was to create a masculine/boy card. Ummmmm.....not going to work with this image. So I put her aside and then waited until Monday. The new TSG challenge was up and it is a color challenge. This I can do with a sweet girly stamp. I just had to use-blue, yellow, and neutral (KRAFT in my brain!).

I kept it simple. I pulled some scraps of paper from my desk and paired them with a sno cone card base. I cut a Bracket Tab die-namics in Kraft cs and stamped the sentiment in MFT Hot Fudge ink. I tied up a Sno Cone button with some navy twine. Easy Peasy!

Here is a close up of sweet Penelope. I gave her wings some glitter. She was stamped on x-press blending cs and colored with Copics.

Thanks for visiting today! I have a mixed media post going up tomorrow. I am excited to show you, because I love how it turned out. So stop back by!

here is my shopping list! Happy Thursday.
