Reverse Confetti/ January Stock Your Stash

January is coming to a close and that means there is just a little more time to get in your cards for the Stock Your Stash Challenge over on the RC Blog. This month's challenge theme is LOVE

I used the current Freshly Made Sketch on my card and put the Heart Pals cuties to work. I started with some ink blending and the Hearts Stencil. I masked off the top and bottom to follow the sketch. I used Copics to color up the Heart Pals duo and then then cut them out with the Heart Pals Confetti Cuts

I used the From Cupid paper and Tall Trio Confetti Cuts to add a strip to ground  my images.

Here are the challenge details.

Some things to note about this challenge...
There will be a new Stock Your Stash challenge posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

Reverse Confetti Feb. Creative Blog Hop

We are so super excited for today's blog hop. Love is in the air and the Reverse Confetti Crew has a Creative Blog Hop for you featuring ABC Projects (anything but a card) with a LOVE theme. Please join us for the beautiful creativity by the team.

I decided to update one of my frames with heart themed art work. It has been a long time since I have created something like this and it felt really good. Took be back to my scrapbooking days.....yeah, I should start that up again. Someday!

Anyway, I have this 5x5 frame that has housed a sweet little felt piece I created a few years ago for another RC Hop. You can see that project HERE if you'd like.

I was going to use felt again for today's project, but decided to stick with the gorgeous pinks and red Reverse Confetti card stock colors-Piggy Bank, Flamingo, and Salsa

I cut six hearts with the XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts and topped those each with a white button with coordinating twine.
While I was initially searching for some felt, I DID run across this kraft corrugated card board paper and was inspired to use that. It's fun to dig through your stash and see what you have. It has been years since I have used this, too. I cut that to 5x5 and used it as my base for my framed project. I then cut the largest sized Scalloped Square Confetti Cuts in Premium Polar White card stock.  Before I layered that piece on, I stamped the Sentiment from Heart Filled Sentiments with Midnight ink onto a strip of vellum card stock. I hit it with some clear embossing powder to make it pop!

I then got to work assembling my project. I layered the white scalloped frame piece down where I wanted it (DO NOT ADHERE YET) and then carefully figured out my heart placement. I added the hearts topped with buttons with foam dots, except the middle row, I just glued into place. I then carefully wrapped the vellum sentiment strip around the base and adhere it in the back with some strong adhesive (I used some Scor-tape). Once that was all put together I topped the whole thing with the white Scalloped Square frame and added the finished piece to the black frame. I love it and it is such a sweet addition to my living room.

Here is another look my finished project. I just love it.

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team today!
There is so much more to see!

Yesterday I brought you some coffee and today I thought a little sunshine would be great! The temps here in the Midwest are certainly teasers as we are in the mid 50's! Yes! Love it. I would love to wish you all Sunshine and Smiles! The re-designed Sunshine Sentiments was the perfect greeting to add to this card.

I did some water coloring in the background as I cut a piece of water color paper with the Silly Stitched Die. I also used that die to cut out a white piece of card stock and then used the Border Builders die to make the scalloped cloud effect. I love that die. I then cut out a water colored  Large Sunshine die.

Up next is a sweet little baby tag with another new re-designed stamp set. I combined a couple sentiments from Pinwheel Sentiments to make the greeting for this tag.

I used the Mini Pinwheel Die and added it to the paper straw for a fun accent to my tag. I love the Anytime Tag die, it looks great with everything.

Here is a closer look at the new products I used today.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate all your kind words this release. Happy Shopping!  Now please follow me to Maureen's Blog. She's up next.

Day 2 Lil' Inker Designs Release

So excited about this month's release from Lil' Inker Designs. The fun started the fun yesterday, make sure you check it out if you missed it. There are 3 fun filled days planned for you.  All the new products are available NOW in the store, but you might just want to check out all the goodness first! the designs team has done a beautiful job with all the projects. The fun all starts over on the LID Blog, be sure to begin there. Hopefully you arrived from Lea Lawson's blog

I'm starting today off with a mix of some new and a little bit of old. I used the Silly Stitched die set to cut out my kraft base and then cut out the largest heart with the Dual Dotted Hearts die. Yep, you see it....more of the awesome Love You paper. I paired this one up with the previously released Coffee Cozy die set. Oh how I loooove that stitched steam detail die. The sentiment is from another re-designed stamp set called Sunshine Sentiments.

Here is a close up of all that stitched die details. So sweet!

You can see more of the Silly Stitched die set here. I am so so happy that Laura has one that is for a full A2 card base. I then used the newest boxed up greeting die in the center. This die is called Love You Greeting. The scripty words are so pretty. I popped up this whole panel and tucked a water colored back ground behind it. I also scattered some sequins about. I added a duo of vellum Dual Dotted Hearts to the corner for the finishing touch.

Here is another look at the new products I used today.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Check back tomorrow. I have more to share. Until then, please follow me to Heather's Blog. She's up next.

Color Throwdown #377

Welcome friends! I'm so glad you are hear for your weekly dose of color with the Color Throwdown.  I'm thrilled to be your hostess this week. I am gearing up for the love holiday that is right around the corner and as a mom of all boys, I am always on the hunt for a unique color combo other than red and pink for my guys. Kraft, Gray and Yellow was just want I was looking for. I hope you are inspired by the photo, the touch of rustic with a little bit of feminine just makes my heart happy.

I had the perfect new to me die set just waiting for this challenge. It's the Maggie Holmes Open Book Love This and I was thrilled to see that Vanessa had it in stock in her shop, Butterfly Reflections! I had been crushing on that deer since Christmas time. I cut him from kraft cs and then ran it through my die cut machine with a woodgrain impression plate. I gave it some dimension with a sponging of Walnut stain distress ink.

I cut the word love in Lemon Chiffon card stock and used the LID Dual Stitched Mats-Rectangle dies to cut the gingham designer paper. I decided at the last minute to stamp the sentiment from Lovey Words Coordinates by Reverse Confetti. I am so proud of myself for once again mixing companies product for my card. Some twine, sequins, and a wood veneer heart finished the look.

Check out what the Color Throwdown Team has created today!
