Celebrate...it's Friday! {lil' inkers on instagram}

 Hello to you all and happy Friday!!! Woohoo! I'm pretty excited for what seems to be a calm weekend in our house. We only have 3 basketball games instead of 6 or 8....I think we can handle that. Plus, our weather broke and we have been enjoying mild temps.....ahhhh!!! 44 degrees sure seems warm compared to the sub-zero temps we had for weeeeeeks.

I've got a fun card showing off some Lil' Inker Design products. I am in LOVE with their stitched dies. Seriously swoon worthy!!! I recently added this On the Diagonal die (product links below). It had the awesome double stitched detail on it.

I used the die to cut twice, once on the Fuse Green and again on a piece of Steel Blue cs. I used dimensionals to pop up the green layers after I stamped. I nestled the celebrate strip right between the layers of Fuse Green. Perfect fit!

The awesome cirlces and sentiment are from the Spot On Stamp set. So fun. I looooove circles.

I added some stars and silver sequins to add to the festive feel of this card. Check out those polka dots. My background needed just a little something else, so I grabbed a pencil and used the eraser end to create the dots. Easy peasy. Just dab it onto an ink pad and stamp!

Did you see the news?? Lil' Inker Designs is on Intsagram. I'm linking this up for the contest. Check it out.

Are you on instagram? I am. I don't always post my crafty stuff there, but  I'm trying to get better about it. I ♥ social media. It's fun! you can find me @lisahenke on Instagram. I'd love for you to stop by.

Have a fabulous Friday!! Stampy hugs!

You're the Star {lil' inker Designs}

Hello and happy Tuesday! I had lots of computer problems over the last few weeks and I now have a small stash of cards to share. Right when my computer died, I received my latest Lil' Inker Designs. I took advantage of a SALE and grabbed a few of my favorites.

The first thing that landed in my cart was this amazing cover plate Stitches & Stripes. I used three colors for my panel, Grout Grey, Gumdrop Green, and Steel Blue. This combo makes a great guy card.

 I had to cut the cover plate three times to get all three colors to fit in each of the slots. I love how you can use this die in so many different ways and change the look simply by cutting paper.

I also grabbed the sentiment set, Shiny Happy Sentiments. How can you not love those uplifting words?!! I stamped them in Gumdrop Green ink on one of the Stitched Circle Mats. I added a trio of glittery stars to really make this pop!

Have a great Tuesday! I hope you'll find some time to do something you love, remember Today You're The Star!

Friday Fun {Wine Helps}

Woop woop! It's Friday! Today is my hubby's birthday and we'll be celebrating with a yummy dinner at one of our local rib joints (if you are ever in Cincy, Montgomery Inn Ribs are a MUST have).
I had been itching to get this stamp set inky from Lil' Inkers Designs. I was lucky enough to win it during their birthday celebration and was feeling guilty that I hadn't used it yet. It's called Snarky Sentiments and you'll love it.

I used an older, Seize The Sketch #3 challenge for my layout on this card. The sketch called for hexagons in the background, but I traded them out for the fun Stitched Mats-circle dies from Lil' Inkers.  I loved that I could show a pattern peaking out from a few of the cut circles AND still have the stitching around them. The design on these dies is just brilliant.

I'm also sending this along to the Hope You Can Cling Challenges over on SCS. I'm playing along with Jeanne's challenge-Hope you have a great day!  Pop on over there and see what a great cause they support. I think this sentiment is so fun and encouraging. It's sure to put a smile on anyone's face.

Wishing you a wonderful start to the weekend!

Happy Birthday Circles

Lil' Inker Designs is celebrating their third birthday. They have a fun challenge up and I am playing along.  You can read all the Challenge Details HERE.

I was inspired by the cluster of balloons in the Inspiration Photos. I don't have any of their balloon dies, BUT I have those freakin' amazing Stitched Mats-Circle dies, so that's what I used.. LOOOOVE them.

 At first I just cut out a bunch of circles from pattern paper. Once I arranged them on my card front, I felt like they needed just a little something else. Then.....I remembered the added feature of these dies.....the stitching is left on the positive AND the negative. It was perfect! I lined up the biggest circle I used onto my card base where I wanted those large circle to be. Then I cut them out of the white card stock, leaving behind a great stitched detail. I simply placed the pattern paper circle right back into the negative space.

The sentiment is from Flags and Tags and I used the matching dies to cut out the banner piece.  I embossed the sentiment with some neon green embossing powder. Yum!  A few festive enamel dots were scattered throughout.  I used a Sno Cone card base to mount my image panel on to.

Here's the inspiration photo from this challenge.  Come Play along. There is an amazing prize up for grabs.

and here are the Products I used:
