Reverse Confetti-August Color Challenge Reminder

The month of August is quickly coming to an end. Crazy! Have you played along with the Reverse Confetti Color Challenge? There is still time to play. We sure hope you'll join us.

I used the sweet Oliver Owl from the Quirky Cuties line of stamps to make this festive birthday card. I used some gold foil paper to accent the image. I cut out a scalloped gold frame with the Circles 'n Scallops die. I also cut some stars with the OH, My Stars confetti cut die.

I stamped the sentiment from the Oliver in navy ink. It was a perfect fit on the banner strip from Tag Me.
here is the inspiration photo and color board for the challenge.

Reverse Confetti {Quirky Cutie Blog Hop}

It's a surprise blog hop with the Reverse Confetti Crew and some additional, coloring rock star Friends! This line of stamps is beyond cute and so fun to color or piece, or just stamp with.  Have you seen the full line of Quirky Cuties? Check them all out HERE.

Hopefully you arrived here from Kim O'Connell's Blog. If not, all the hop details start on the RC Blog

Today I used Quirky Cutie: Rocky Raccoon. He's the newest addition to our group of cuties. I have colored him up, and used him just stamped in a solid color, and today, I decided to piece up his outfit.

 I did add some subtle coloring with my copic markers. Piecing was so easy. I stamped him 4 times. Twice onto  x-press it blending card stock, again on the red polka dot, and another time on the navy polka dot. I cut out each part and start from the back, moving to the front.

  1. Color and cut out one full Rocky image.
  2. Cut out navy polka dot shirt, adhere to full Rocky image.
  3. Cut out red polka dot scarf, adhere to navy polka dot shirt.
  4. Cut out arm and envelope and attach to top of navy polka dot.

I Love a classic navy, red, white, and Kraft color combo. I also added a touch of gold with the striped gold vellum piece. Behind Rocky you'll see the cool new Pretty Panels-Diagonal stripes Confetti Cut piece. I love these new dies.

To finish this off, I added a sentiment from the Rocky Raccoon stamp set and a few stamped hearts from Arrows 'n Elements and I Like You

Thanks a bunch for stopping by today.
  •  Be sure to follow along the hop and leave comments along the way.
  •  There are 2 GREAT prizes up for grabs.
  • Two random commenters will win a Studio 3 Solutions color cubbie + 3 Quirky Cuties of your choice!
  • Comments will stay open through Sunday at 5pm CST and a winner will be announced on Monday on the Reverse Confetti blog.
Off you Go.....Monika Davis is up next.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 228 {oh, Hello!}

 Hello and happy Sunday. I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. It's time for a new sketch with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I put the newest Quirky Cutie, Rocky Raccoon by Reverse Confetti to work. I love his sweet face and I decided to keep it simple.

I love that these stamps are cute colored, pieced, or just stamped in a solid color. Cuz you know some days,  you just don't feel like coloring.  I used Hot Fudge ink and stamped him onto kraft card stock. I then cut him out with the great new Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cut dies. Love how they layer together.

I used the smallest circle die for my little tag. I used the sentiment from Arrows 'n Elements. I punched a little hole and added a twine bow. Simple and sweet!

Here is the sketch for this week:
Come Play along: simply make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of Karen's post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time).
