Thanks Paper Smooches

It's the final day of October. How did that happen?? Time just goes crazy fast. That also means my time as a guest designer with Paper Smooches is up. I had a blast creating with Kim's awesome products. I have one more card to share today. Once again, I combined a whole bunch of the newly released products. I just love the coffee themed sets, this

And I'm just in time to mention....you check out the Coffee Lovers Blog and Paper Smooches Collaboration hop. You could win some great prizes! Details HERE

I used the Caffeinated Stamps and coordinating Caffeinated Icons Dies to create my sweet little coffee to go. The sentiment is from Caffeinated Two

In the background I added the houndstooth pattern with a Life Changing Blender Brush and the Essentials Stencils. I finished the cad off with a wooden heart that I colored up with a Copic marker. Papers and inks are all from The Stamp Market.

It's simple, and sweet, and punny....my favorite type of cards. Thanks for hanging with me today. Have a wonderful Halloween.

Reverse Confetti-Hug in a Mug

Hello friends!  I had taken a little over a week off from stamping because of the holidays and Monday was time to get back at it. I find it easier to jump back into creating after some time off with a warm up card. I like to find a challenge for my starting point and pick a stamp set I love. Then I see how it all comes together from there. How do you get started after some time off??

I used the current MFT color challenge. I loved the combo and it felt warm and cozy for me, so I reached for my coffee themed stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti. It makes me happy that all 4 coffee sets from RC coordinate together. I started with Caffeinated Cups, stamping the mug and then cutting it out with the Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts

The little foam art is from Be A Barista. I then added a white heat embossed sentiment from For the Love of Latte

A few other accents I added are hearts from Love Note and Shakers 'n Frames and the circle cut out from Circles 'n Scallops

Thanks for stopping by again today! I always love when you do. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

TE-coffee makes us awesome

I had this card featured over on the Taylored Expressions Blog this past week. I have been having a blast creating with all of her beautiful products.

I love coffee. I love the how it tastes, I love how it smells, and recently I discovered iced coffee. It is so easy to make at home. Thanks to The Pioneer Woman, I have been keeping this in my fridge this summer. Try it; you'll love it! To celebrate the joy of coffee, I decided to combine coffee and rainbows -- what's not to love?

I used the striped pattern from the Rainbow Brights 6x6 Paper Pack. I cut out a large circle from the center and cut another smaller circle from white cardstock to nest inside and be the centerpiece of my card. I used foam tape to pop up the whole Rainbow paper panel.

I stamped the large sentiment from Hug in a Mug. I love that there are a few options to place in that empty space. I used the "makes us awesome" and used my MISTI to ensure perfect placement.

I stamped one of the mugs and used my Copics to color it up. I did some easy fussy cutting and then popped it up above my sentiment. I used a circle punch to add a hole to the handle and tied on a yellow twine bow. Some enamel dots finished off the embellishments.

Head on over to the TE Blog for more inspiration. The new release is right around the corner!

Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop

**if you are looking for my Sweet Sunday Sketch Card, Please Scroll Down**

Eight is Great! That's our motto. Yep.....it's December 8th, so that means it's time for some blog hopppin' with Reverse Confetti.  Last month’s release was full of holiday magic as well as some gorgeous everyday sentiments. As we look forward to the holidays, it’s now time to start thinking of those small gifts, tags, treats, or just sweet notes of encouragement to spread the “Merry” to our friends, family and coworkers.

The Confetti Crew and a few other pals have designed some great cards and projects to give you just the creative spark you’ll need to make some of your very own RC magic happen!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Laurie Willson’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

As much as I wanted to make a holiday themed item, I also really wanted to play with the Be a Barista set. So I did. I created a gifty that I can give this holiday season, or later on during the winter months. I used the pretty wintery papers by October Afternoon, Bundled Up (my FAVORITE papers right now). I created a pretty tag to dress up some coffee and a pretty card to match.
I have some of these frosted Tin Tie bags in my stash. I simply added some yummy coffee and folded it over. I created a pretty tag with the awesome Confetti Cuts Tag Me die.

I couldn't decide which size to use, so I added both. I stamped some pretty pink stripes from So Stripey on the kraft tag. I then stamped the "coffee & friends" sentiment onto the double ended fishtail banner die, also included in the Tag Me set. ♥ that! I punched out a heart, ran it through my crimper and tucked that behind my sentiment. I tied this large tag on with some pink grosgrain ribbon.

I cut the smaller tag from Pink Lemonade cs and stamped the two sizes of hearts and the word "coffee" from the I Like You stamp set. I have these yummy chocolate covered peppermint stir sticks I wanted to add to the gifty. This smaller tag was a perfect way to do this. I simply used some brown twine to tie them on.

Next up, how about a closer look at my matching card. I LOVE how this came together, btw. The colors and THAT  Sweet Treat Tent die for a card panel.....SWOON!!!

I just love tying on a bow around that oval opening. I ran the die through my Vagabond and then cut off the tabs by lining up the score marks on my paper trimmer.
I was inspired by this past week's Mojo Monday sketch. My middle panel is just a wee bit bigger than the sketch. That's okay, though.

Here's a close up of my pieced up mug. I stamped the mug twice, once on the cheveron print and again on the pink snow flake print. I then stamped my foam onto cream cs with Amuse Latte ink. I added some shading with my copics and then sponged on some Tea Dye ink around the edges of all the pieces to really make them POP!

The sentiment, also from Be A Barista was stamped with Hot Fudge ink. Stitching and another Pink grosgrain bow finish the pretty look I was going for.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to my crafty friend, Laurel’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Reverse Confetti {day 2 Sneak Peeks}

Yesterday we kicked off the new Release sneak peeks with Reverse Confetti. Wow! Pretty great stuff, right?

Today we have more fun in store. Today's peeks are showing off the new BE A BARISTA stamp set. It is NOT just another coffee set. It's sooo cool, and well designed you will NEED this in your stash.

Check out what I made with it. I adore how this card turned out. The colors are sooo ME and the word "latte" spelled out in the foam is fabulous. I stamped that in Kraft ink and then added the cup image. Yep, two separate images, making stamping easy! I colored the cup up with Copics BG00 and BG10, and then paper pieced a strip of the damask design  to tie it all together.

Here's a close up of the full sentiment. I love the curve of the words. It fits just perfectly, nestled above the cup.

I needed just a little something, so I die cut a heart and made it a Grey stripey heart thanks to the AWESOME new SO STRIPEY stamp set. A Lemon Aid button and double twiney bow and this was done. The sketch is this week's MFT WSC.

My next card is a bit more clean and simple using Be A Barista.  I used a smaller version of that doily and this time stamped my coffee mug onto some kraft cs. I colored it in with copics. I love that starburst in the latte foam. There are four choices with this set. How great is that??

This time I used last week's MFT WSC layout, and it called for a banner strip. Easy peasy with the new TAG ME Confetti Cuts dies. I cut it out with Kraft cs and then stamped the sentiment in Gumdrop Green ink. I love the size and that it's a double ended fishtail banner.

Here's the info of the new shipping rates, in case you missed it.

  • There will be a $15 gift certificate up for grabs. leave a comment on each sneak peek post for each designer. Comments will close at noon CST on November 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on November 7th.
  • Don't forget to pop by the Reverse Confetti Facebook page, as well. You'll have another chance to win just by leaving a comment on Jen's Post.
