Sweet Sunday Sketch {on a Tuesday}

I did a great job of working ahead last week. It was a busy week prepping for school, back to work, and the boys big club wide soccer tournament. Well, at least I thought I did a good job. I didn't quite get my Sweet Sunday Sketch card up on time. SO here I am on a Tuesday sharing it with you all. And just so this doesn't happen again this week....I already have my next sketch card made. Yay!

Did you see the sketch yet? It's a good one. Be sure to check it out over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog. You'll find all the challenge details AND some pretty sweet inspiration from the rest of the crew.

I normally don't mix up products on a card, but today I did. I used the gorgeous Lawn Fawn stamp set, Stuck on You (I won it from some awesome blog candy from Jenn Shurkus and her 10th Blogiversary!Thanks so much!). I combined with some of my Lil' Inker Designs dies. Love the Stitched Mats-Dual Rectangles and my favorite word die, Smile. I added a touch of shimmer to the purple flowers with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

Here is the sketch for this week.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week.

Yeti It's Cold!! {Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp}

Yep. This is about how I feel. The weather here in Ohio is freakin' C-O-L-D! I know, I know....it's February and it's the Midwest, but still I'm over winter. I'm very happy that March is right around the corner.....that means it's another month closer to SPRING!! Come on warmer temps!

 I love this stamp set from Lawn Fawn, it's called Yeti, Set, Go. I added a pop of color with the trees and the strip along the bottom from the Snow Day petite paper pack

I stamped the sentiment in green and embossed the snowflakes with some white embossing powder. A touch of bling was added with a few sequins  The giant speech bubble border is from Lil' Inker Designs. Speech Bubble Die set

I'm linking this up to the

Poppy Sketch and Simon Says Stamp challenges {hello}

Hello, my stampy friends.  I've got a CAS card (clean and simple) for you today. I was first inspired by the new-again sketch blog, Poppy Sketches #2.  As soon as I saw the layout, I knew I wanted to pull out my Insert It-Insta frame Die-namics.

My Let's Polka paper pad is still not too far away on my desk. I used the gray stripes along with the sweet skunk from the Lawn Fawn set, Into The Woods (all links listed below). There was a color combo with this sketch-gray, red, and teal.  Mr. Skunk was colored up with Copic markers (W1, W3,W4, and a little R01 for his sweet cheeks).

I rarely mix up my products from different stamp companies on a single project. I have been telling myself that it's ok and I have been really feeling liberated by doing this. I used my Reverse Confetti Petals 'n Poppies die for my flower, the Lawn Fawn paper and stamps, and a MFT Die-namics.

Here is the sketch from Poppy Sketches:

This weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is Clean & Simple. I think this one counts. It's a tall skinny card, 3.5 x 5.5 inches.

Have a fabulous Thursday!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 113- Like the Way you Roll

Hello and happy Sunday. We are wrapping up our Spring Break week here in the Henke house. We just arrived home from a fabulous vacation on our first cruise. I was smart and worked ahead a bit and made my card before we left, and now  I am buried in piles of laundry. It's Sweet Sunday Sketch time. Woohoo!

I'm super excited about this one. The Let's Roll set from Lawn Fawn is just soooo adorable. I can't wait to play with it more. I kept my card simple, coloring up one of the rolls and a pair of chopsticks.

I added them to the top of a stitched circle from Lil' Inker Designs. Ahhhhh! those stitched mats are great. I stamped the sentiment in Pink Lemonade ink to coordinate with the pretty Let's Polka papers. Here's a closer look. I added a small pink twine bow, and topped it with a Pretty Pink Posh sequin.

Here is this week's sketch. My card is a weeee bit skinnier than usual. It measures 3.75 x 5.5 inches.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 211 {hello Sunshine}

Hello sunshine and hello Sunday. I'm happy to be bringing you my sample for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.. I put my Lawn Fawn goodies to work today. These Let's Polka papers are addicting. The simple, fun patterns in the happy, bring colors are sure to brighten up any project.

I couldn't help myself with the sentiment. I'm doing all I can to wish Spring along. Come on warm weather and sunshine. The little birdie is talking to the sun, coaxing it along.

 I added a few fun flowery sequins from a fall pack of Lawn Fawn sequins. The sun is one of my newest Lil' inker Design dies. Those stitch marks just make me happy! I finished it all off with a trio of pieced hearts and some sweet bakers twine.

Here's this week's sketch.
