On Saturday 2 June the Embassy of Italy in New Zealand and the Dante Alighieri Society celebrated the Italian National Day, Festa della Repubblica, with an Aperitivo at Palazzo Italia.

Thank you to our Italian Ambassador, Fabrizio Marcelli, for flying up to Auckland to celebrate with us, we truly treasure the collaboration between our Dante Society and the Embassy. A special grazie to all who attended, Italians and Kiwi friends, and to Martina Depentor and Alessandra Zecchini for planning the event.

The evening was also a very special occasion for us, as our friend Sandro Aduso was awarded the title of Maestro del LavoroRead all about it here.

Matteo, chef di Palazzo Italia, prepared some delicious food with great Italian products.

During the evening guests enjoyed delicious Italian food and drinks, courtesy of the Embassy of Italy and the Dante Alighieri Society. We also would like to acknowledge Palazzo Italia for the Prosecco, Peroni for the beer, Casamassima Italian Fare for the truffles and Ghiotti for the Italian cold meats.
Tutto buonissimo!
