Dante Auckland COVID-19 UPDATE: Cancellations of Italian Classes

Children: the Dante school is closed, for homework stay at home and draw many rainbows, like the one you did at the Dante with the teachers. A virtual hug to all! 😊

Dear Students and friends

Due to Council restrictions on the use of public facilities, and the increasing spread of Covid-19 in Auckland and New Zealand, from this week until further notice there will be no more classes in Freemans Bay Community Centre. Online lessons will be available for adult classes only from next week.

All children’s classes, colazione and other events are also cancelled until further notice.

Adult classes: your teachers will contact each class as a group to organise online lessons, in line with the other Dante Schools around the world.

Please keep safe and await your instructions from your teacher or Dante staff member.

We are taking these measures in line with government recommendations, and will work with you to keep the activities and spirit of the Dante going through these challenging times.

Un abbraccio virtuale a tutti,

The Dante Team

Gli studenti del corso intensivo raccontano

From the 22nd to the 26th of January The Dante Auckland held its popular Summer Intensive Course, hosting many new students, but also several affezionati, Italian language students that have been attending the one week long course for years.

Lessons, games, Italian food and fun! Scroll down to see some photos (by Barbara) and read the feedback form four of our students (some in Italian).

erano bravissimi.  Erano molto accoglienti e amichevoli e il cibo ogni
giorno era buonissimo.  Sicuramente  vale la pena per me andare
da Timaru ad Auckland per frequentarla.  Bravi tutti!
Un abbraccio
Liz

Cara Sandra
Grazie a te
Dorotea

This was my second Summer School and above all I enjoyed the atmosphere created by the teachers and helpers~ active, happy, relaxed and supportive.

Mel Rowsell

Grazie a tutti e ci vediamo al prossimo corso intensivo!

Italiano e ... mozzarella!

Massimiliano talking about cheese

Last week the Wednesday beginner' class said goodbye to two students leaving for Puglia, and we all celebrated by recreating a bit of the magic of this beautiful Italian region by hosting one of its cheese makers. Il Casaro Massimiliano made a huge mozzarella for us to taste, and gave a little talk about cheese making in Puglia and in Auckland.

Look at the size of this mozzarella!

E Donatella! Ti aspettiamo il prossimo trimestre!

Buone Vacanze a tutti!
