Photos form our second Dante Concert with Tobias Ringborg


Wonderful concert last night with violinist Tobias Ringborg, in New Zealand to conduct La bohème at NZ Opera in September, who played with our local musicians Luca Manghi (flute) and David Kelly (piano). 

The programme included music from Italy, France and Sweden. 

Thank you to all who attended, and stayed after the concert for a drink with us.

Dante Chamber Music Series 2018: Concert 2, featuring Swedish conductor and violinist Tobias Ringborg




We have an beautiful concert coming up soon, featuring Swedish conductor and violinist Tobias Ringborg, in New Zealand to conduct La bohème at NZ Opera in September, along with our local musicians Luca Manghi (flute) and David Kelly (piano).

A colourful programme of music from Italy, France and Sweden.

Featuring works by Rossini, Catalani, Debussy and Stenhammar.

The Dante Chamber Music Series is back! Starting in June until November with five beautiful concerts, and with some top musicians from New Zealand and Overseas. 
 No booking required, just cash at the door (all takings will go to the musicians).

Photos form the Prelude to the Italian Festival Season in Auckland Concert





What a wonderful concert last night! We were treated to an outstanding performance by Luca Manghi, David Kelly, and Tobias Ringborg. 


The Programme was:
1. Pietro Mascagni (1863-1945):
Intermezzo and Easter Hymn from “Cavalleria Rusticana”
2. Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924)/Ernest Alder:
“La Bohème”: Trio for violin, flute and piano
3. Cesare Ciardi (1817-1877): Gran Concerto, Op. 129
Andante – Maestoso
4. Niccolò Paganini (1782-1840): Cantabile, Op. 17
5. Carlo Cammarota (1905-1990): Arioso e Fuga
6. Nino Rota (1911-1979): Trio for flute, violin and piano
The concert was followed by an Italian Aperitivo with Peroni Beer, Prosecco Borgo SanLeo and Aperol Spritz.

Prelude to the Italian Festival Season in Auckland

The Italian Festival Season in Auckland will open this Sunday, 13 September, so get ready!
The first Italian event of the Season will be a special concert featuring visiting Swedish violinist and conductor Tobias Ringborg, here conducting New Zealand Opera’s production of Tosca.
