From the exhibition commemorating the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt's death to which everyone was invited to contribute a self-made portrait in his style.

This one was my favorite made of old scrap wood with the original colors still on it from what it originally had. Diederick Kraaijeveld is the artist.

On the same walk in Amsterdam mentioned bij Bieb with fellow blogger Sami from Australia we shaw this mural. A good one for Sami's Colorful World here.

Yesterday we had a nice meeting with Bob and Carolyn Crowe from St. Louis Daily Photo and Marianne my wife from Biebkriebels. They were for 4 days in Amsterdam. I had prepared a walk to some not so touristic parts of town but due to the appendectomy 6 days ago I wasn't capable to do that.
Of course when you have a photoblog you can't stop shooting and so we did, meanwhile enjoying a great dinner at pop-up restaurant Baut in the former department store of V&D. Bob and Carolyne I wish you a very nice stay in your next stop Germany and who knows till another time.

My feeling this morning when I opened my blog and blogger had changed my name and I couldn't open my own blog. It seems I had made an other account years ago and suddenly it pops up. Took a lot of trouble to got back on the right track. All that software updating gives sometimes a real headache.
