Today was the day again.

It was very busy

but if you have an eye for it there was a lot to get.

I for myself went home with a panasonic 12-35 f 2.8 for m4/3.

Stores with this kind of stuff are now almost a thing of the past. Where there used to be more than a hundred in Amsterdam you should be happy if you can find one now. By the way, just read at The Visual Science Lab that DPreview world's largest camera reviewer is quitting April 10. Now if that's not a sign of things to come then I don't know what is. A second hip shooter

The guy sitting next to me had a Leica Q2 and that you see rarely but good for street photography indeed.

One takes a red and blue cellophane

Red for the left eye and blue for the right eye. And then even Sofietje in 3D. Found an old program name Anaglyph Workshop and with 2 hand-held cameras took a left and right picture simultaneously without tripod or anything at the guess. I like the result. Will take a more serious look at it. One for Signs2 here.

Second visit photo FotoFestival Naarden

Went yesterday to see the part that was somewhat outside Naarden in an abandoned greenhouse complex nearby. My previous visit can be found here.

The nice thing was that some of the participating photographers were present to explain their own work.

Here is Suzanne Valkenburg with whom I had a nice conversation about her documentary series "As a bird so free", an ode to the maligned culture of caravan dwellers. Usually banished to the outskirts of the city and somehow kept out of sight, they turn out to be home to a very warm community. She is currently working on a book on the subject and is still looking for enthusiasts. Warmly recommended.

A visit to a nice exhibition like here the photo festival in Naarden

A chance meeting of Bieke Depoorter (Magnum photographer) with Agata, in a strip club in Paris, produces a fascinating series of photographs. On display in the Grote Kerk of Naarden

Also many pictures in the ramparts of Naarden fortress like here pictures from Eva Roefs who photographed the heads of prominent residents of the red light district in Amsterdam. Must say that the location sometimes made demands on the hobby photographer who tries to capture it all without flash.

Empty my photodrawer with just not used blog photo's for the start of 2020 .

From the exhibition commemorating the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt's death to which everyone was invited to contribute a self-made portrait in his style.

This one was my favorite made of old scrap wood with the original colors still on it from what it originally had. Diederick Kraaijeveld is the artist.

What I love at museum visits is not only the artwork but also the opportunities to photograph the interactions between the visitors and art as here in the outsiders art museum as part of the amsterdam hermitage.
