Nearly gone but in times of economical decline priceless a shoemakers bench with tools all working with hand power. This one was plucked out of a little village and placed in a museum but still in working order and sometimes a retired shoemaker gives a demonstration not only how to repair shoes but also how to make them. My son has a habit for jogging bare foots in a nature park nearby. For the coming winter and his birthday   

I gave him this shoes which give the sensation of going bare foots without freezing them off.

A little time ago I saw this on the Fashion Biennale in Arnhem. Don't know who designed it but he or she must certainly have a mind for building.
